Angus Potter et Lizzie Orange ont installé Chez Nous Zermatt pour offrir à nos clients une expérience de location de vacances de luxe plus personnelle - plus comme rester avec un ami que dans une «maison de vacances».

Le Petit est un très joli et spacieux appartement de 2 chambres et 2 salles de bains au 1er étage - parfait pour 4 personnes (et beaucoup de nos clients ont installé 3 enfants dans la deuxième chambre pour qu'elle puisse accueillir 5 personnes). L'appartement offre une vue imprenable directement sur le Cervin.

Un grand soin a été pris pour créer une atmosphère vraiment accueillante: le joli salon / salle à manger a une cuisine et un grand balcon enveloppant qui fait face au champ avec les jolis vieux stadels suisses au premier plan et le Matterhorn présidant en arrière-plan. La salle à manger peut accueillir confortablement 4 à 6 personnes afin que vous puissiez prendre vos repas à la maison, puis le soir (ou les jours de mauvais temps), vous pouvez vous installer confortablement devant le système de home cinéma de 45 '(avec chaînes britanniques et Apple TV) en regardant un film ou la lecture de votre livre et quand il est temps de dormir, les lits sont super confortables. Nous veillons également à ce que "l'essentiel" soit en stock afin que vous puissiez faire du thé / café et prendre un verre de vin sans avoir à faire vos courses tout de suite!

Si vous faites partie d'un groupe plus important de familles et d'amis, la combinaison du Petit avec l'un de nos autres appartements peut vous permettre d'être tous ensemble dans le même bâtiment, mais libre de se retirer dans son propre espace en cas de besoin. Voir nos autres annonces pour Le Corbassière (6 personnes), The Mischabel (6-8 personnes) et L'Etoile (2-3 personnes).

Tous les appartements Chez Nous ont une vue à 180 degrés directement sur le Cervin, vers Gornergrat et jusqu'à la vallée du Trift. L'un des seuls champs restants du village est juste en face de nous, ce qui donne une sensation d'espace bien qu'il soit si proche de tous les restaurants, du pont de l'église et des remontées mécaniques / bus.

Le seul point pratique à garder à l'esprit est que l'accès direct à notre bâtiment depuis le niveau de la rue (lorsque vous arrivez et partez) est en bas de 3 volées d'escaliers. Cependant, une fois vos bagages installés, la plupart des clients utilisent le raccourci vers le village via un chemin à travers le champ devant la maison.

Amazing zermatt stay

We are a family of 4 including a 16 yo son and 13 yo daughter visiting from USA. We had an amazing time!! Lizzie was super helpful even before we arrived. She helped us get proper train tickets into zermatt and back to Paris. Her communication was perfect down to meeting g is at the train station. The apt was perfect. A spacious living room, a master bedroom and another room for our children. The apt was beautiful with a working kitchen and beautiful views of the Matterhorn for morning coffee and easy walk to town. Amazing unit and owners. 5 stars!!

Amazing stay and host

We absolutely loved Chez Nous. The property was in a great location, walkable to anywhere. The apartment was clean, cozy and well equipped with anything we needed. Lizzie (the host) was the most informative, kind and helpful host we have ever experienced at any of our VRBO stays. I would highly recommend Chez Nous to anyone looking to visit Zermatt. If we ever have the opportunity to go back, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Lizzie!

Spectacular

This apartment—Mischabel—was the best VRBO place we’ve ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot of them in U.S., U.K., and Europe). It was absolutely spotlessly clean, I mean there wasn’t a speck of dirt, even under the furniture. It was beautifully, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped—uncommonly so. It had everything we needed or could have wanted. Throughout the apartment, everything was in perfect order—there were no scratched beat up old non-stick pans, no half-melted plastic spatulas, no non-functioning appliances, no burned out light bulbs, no broken window blinds—all of which are sadly standard in so many other VRBO rentals. The place is gorgeous, and sitting on the deck watching the Matterhorn was spectacular. Lizzie and her on-site person were very responsive, and super helpful, they provided outstanding communications.

Lizzie’s place was perfect for our family of four. It’s beautifully finished and in a great location. Additionally Lizzie is wonderful to work with. She provided helpful information prior to our arrival and had bread, coffee and other staples in the refrigerator when we arrived. Such a nice touch!

Everything about the apartment was fantastic. It's very cozy, well stocked kitchen, location and the sunrise view on the matterhorn. Lizzy and Lou helped so much with travel and restaurant reservations and village tips. Great visit. I would come stay here again without a doubt.

Great place to relax and explore Zermatt

We had a wonderful stay at Chez Nous. The property was exactly as described, we were not disappointed. We enjoyed wonderful views of the Matterhorn from the patio areas. It was so nice to have a kitchen and place to wind down after more than a week of hopping from hotel to hotel in a prior motor cycle tour of the Alps. Lizzie picked us up at the train station, gave us all the needed information for the area - where to eat, buy groceries, hike, etc. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedding comfortable. The property is so nicely decorated and cleanly kept. We enjoyed watching a few movies in the evening on the large TV, wifi was good as well, we had no trouble with connectivity. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we'll never forget it.

Perfect location with a view of Matterhorn

We were very pleased with the location. We had a gorgeous view of Matterhorn from the living room and the balcony. We had sun on that balcony during then day until late afternoon which was perfect for lazy afternoons. The apartment was very well equipped and organized. The beds were very comfortable and the bath lovely. Maps, information and suggestions on what to do and how was available. It felt like coming to someones home. The feeling of rental was non existing with was lovely. Lizzy and her staff were all very helpful with organizing both transfer and skipas and available for questions during our stay. It was walking distance to both ski systems and it was just a few minutes to the bus. The only thing that could improve is availability of dryers for the skiboots since you are not allowed to take them up into the apartment.

Great location, property and host

We stayed here in late January, the apartment was located just a few minutes walk from the lifts and the main street, which was really convenient. We had two couples and both were very comfortable. Lizzie was extremely helpful getting us oriented for our first visit to Zermatt and her guide on where to eat and rent equipment was invaluable. I would definitely stay here again. Bonus is that you can see the Matterhorn from the living room.

Superb apartment, ideally positioned in Zermatt

The apartment is so well arranged, furnished and decorated and ideally positioned for both the main ski lifts and and central Zermatt shops and restaurants.The view over an old meadow to the mountains and the Matterhorn is wonderful.Lizzie and Angus are wonderful hosts. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and they really know Zermatt and all the ski areas. Have been going to Zermatt since 2004 and have now stayed at Chez Nous for four years and genuinely wouldnt think of anywhere else in Zermatt.Cannot recommend highly enough.

Perfect home from home in zermatt

We had a great stay at chez nous zermatt for two reasons. Firstly the apartment itself was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Secondly hosts Lizzie and Angus were extremely helpful in arranging all we could hope for in terms of lift passes, lunch bookings and more. Lots of nice small touches like chocolate in the boot room too. As with anywhere in zermatt you can’t be close to the lifts of both main mountains but the location here worked well for us even with young children, helped by the free ski lockers all over the ski area. Strongly recommended.

Amazing apartment in fantastic location!

We had the most fantastic stay at Le Petit! The apartment is fully furnished with amazingly comfortable beds, great shower and a fully equipped kitchen. We couldn’t have wanted for anything else in an apartment during our time in Zermatt. Lizzie was easy to communicate with and had our ski passes waiting for us when we arrived which was a great help. We would 100% stay here again if we visit Zermatt again and have to mention the most delicious lemon cake Lizzie made!

Marvelous stay at Chez Nous

Chez Nous is a wonderful condo -- beautifully furnished and maintained and it is well situated in the village. Lizzie served as a superb concierge for us letting us know which train tickets to purchase, setting up a ski guide, giving us great recommendations for ski rental, etc. She also had fresh tea bread prepared for us and even had the frig stocked with orange juice, milk and butter upon our arrival. Chez Nous was an excellent value and gave our family of four space to stretch out after three amazing days of skiing at Zermatt. We are very picky when it comes to lodging, and Chez Nous definitely lived up to our expectations -- actually, it surpassed them. Highly recommend -- would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful apt, great views & location, loved it!

This was our second time staying here, but our first time in summer. Le Petit is beautifully appointed, and the name doesn’t do it justice; it's a very decent size with two bedrooms / bathrooms and plenty of inside and outside living space. Very much a home-away-from-home with lots of thought to the design of each room and to furniture and fittings. The living room is a wonderful place to relax with a magnificent uninterrupted view of the Matterhorn through large glass windows, a state-of-the-art television and sound system, perfect for evenings in – and of course WIFI so you can keep in touch if you choose to. The kitchen is very well equipped with modcons and even has its own Nespresso machine: we cooked up some very nice breakfasts and dinners. The double bed in our room (lovely and quiet) was extremely comfortable with a nice modern en-suite bathroom (with bath, perfect to relax aching limbs) and a little side-terrace. Then there is also the main terrace that leads off the kitchen and living room with nice comfortable modern furniture and that Matterhorn view again, nothing quite like waking up and scanning the rock faces with binoculars to spot climbers or sitting outside in the sun relaxing after a hard day in the mountains! There’s plenty of space in the apartment to hang sports clothes and right at the entrance to the building, a good-sized utility room to store guests' hiking boots and bikes (and skis/boots), a lot of thought into creating effective storage. Also a nice touch is that Chez Nous provides guests with chocolate snacks for skiing as well as packets of tissues and maps of the area – and even slippers, were very welcome in winter. Although Le Petit is smaller than the other apartments, it’s ideal for a family of four or for two couples. The location, just 5-10 minutes from the church and the main street, is within easy walking distance of the lifts of the shuttle bus; a small supermarket and bread shop just around the corner. Lizzie and Angus are such excellent hosts, going that extra mile to welcome you and make you feel at home, and after many years in Zermatt, they have lots of top tips of hikes to go on, mountain restaurants to visit, different activities to try out (paragliding or a heli-tour over the Matterhorn for instance!) or where to party in the evenings. Lizzie and Angus are always on-hand, very organised, helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. I highly recommend staying here, we had a truly terrific week!

This apartment is even more amazing in person!

Extraordinary apartment!! We were more than happy with our stay in Le Petit. First of all the view from apartment is breathtaking. The apartment is comfortable, making you feel at home. Although we did not have the pleasure of meeting Lizzie, she made sure we were well taken care of. Martin was our greeter and a wonderful person. The apartment was well stocked and Lizzie had left fresh fruit,bread,coffee, tea, milk and more to help get us started. Everything was beyond perfect! Thank you again Lizzie and we hope to return soon!!

Chez Nous

We stayed with Lizzie and Angus in their appartment- Chez Nous on a B& B basis. Our friends were in Petit Chez Nous. The apartment is beautiful, exceptionally clean and well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble - from pick up's, ski passes, time of breajkfast and choice of breakfast. The bed was soooo comfortable. Thank you Lizzie and Angus.

Lovely apartment in great location

We loved this apartment. It is very cosy, modern and every detail is thought of. We have young children (10, 8, 6) and the apartment was perfect for us. Very convenient to everything Zermatt has to offer. 5-10 minutes to the centre of town and you could even be at several of the main lift stations in about 10 minutes on foot. Overall, I couldn't recommend this apartment more highly - booking was straightforward, directly with the host, Lizzie. Lizzie went out of her way to help us arrange everything from ski school, advice on train schedules, book restaurant etc etc. She was available throughout our stay to help us with any queries we had. We will definitely come back!

A perfect apartment in a beautiful location

My husband and I stayed here for a week with our 6 month old daughter. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The views of the Matterhorn were spectacular. By the end of our holiday, we were sad to leave because it felt like our new home. My husband and I agreed that we could have happily stayed forever. It was some of the small details that made this apartment special - there was freshly-made lemon cake for us upon arrival, coffee, bread, butter and a few other essentials. A baby cot and high chair were provided for our daughter. Lizzie picked us up from the train station, and she was incredibly helpful in providing information about the local area. She even gave us discount vouchers for some of the local attractions. We were made to feel welcomed and comfortable. By far the best holiday rental we've ever stayed in. We highly recommend it.

How do you spell perfection? Chez Nous Le Petit!

Staying in Le Petit at the end of our 2 week trip with my parents couldn't have been better! The chalet was a wonderful place to call 'home' during our visit to Zermatt, it was well equipped, comfy beds, cozy lounge and the view of the Matterhorn was the icing on the cake for all of us - this was no comparison of course to Lizzie's lemon cake! Lizzie helped make our stay unforgettable and easy from the pick up at the station, bowl of fruit, and no fuss reservations for wonderful meals in town. The location was ideal with an easy walk to a few bakeries for breakfast, the grocery store for essentials and the high street for shopping! We usually opt for self-catering apts and this is definitely our favorite - we highly recommend it!! Thank you again Lizzie for your hospitality and helping make our trip memorable in our Zermatt home away home!

Angus Potter and Lizzie Orange set up Chez Nous Zermatt to offer our guests a luxury holiday rental experience that feels more personal – more like staying with a friend than in a “vacation home”.

We have deliberately kept Chez Nous Zermatt small because our experience is that a boutique, owner-managed business is the best way to ensure that our guests get a truly personal service. We have personally furnished our holiday apartments to create an atmosphere that aims to make you feel at home from the moment you walk in.

Family commitments mean that we now divide our time between the UK and Zermatt but we have a small concierge team on the ground here who know Zermatt well and between us we will make sure you are well looked after during your stay.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Initially we ran a small b&b from our own apartment but we now have 4 apartments in this building (the Swiss laws re. foreigners buying property allowed us to buy one and lease the others) and as from Winter 2018/19, Chez Nous has 4 apartments to rent: The Corbassiere which sleeps 6 on the 3rd floor, The Mischabel which sleeps 6-8 on the 2nd floor, Le Petit which sleeps 4 on the 1st floor and now L'Etoile a 1 bedroomed apartment also on the 1st floor next to Le Petit.

We offer our guests the freedom of a self-catered holiday combined with the feel and warmth of staying in someone else's home. We have completely re-furnished the flats to create an atmosphere that aims to make you feel at home from the moment you walk in.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Our apartments are definitely more than just "a rental"; we have created an atmosphere of "home" in all of them and they are filled with lots of the personal touches that we appreciate in places we stay and want to offer our guests.
Our building sits right in the centre of the village but is unique in still having a small field in front of it which sets off the view of The Matterhorn in spectacular fashion.
