Linger Longer - Beaux couchers de soleil et de superbes vues sur le lac.

vue imprenable sur le lac et les couchers de soleil. Il y a une grande terrasse, véranda pour manger, jouer à des jeux et de détente. Il y a un salon spacieux avec une télévision à écran plat, télévision par câble, un lecteur DVD et un dock CDplayer / Ipod. Le salon dispose d'une salle à manger avec des sièges pour huit. Trois ensembles de portes françaises offrent une vue magnifique sur le lac et ouvrent sur le pont. La cuisine est entièrement équipée d'un compteur pour manger avec quatre tabourets. Salle à manger a des sièges pour six et une porte donnant sur la véranda. La chambre principale a un lit queen et portes françaises menant à la véranda. Master bain a deux lavabos, douche, bain jet-baignoire et une grande promenade dans le placard. Chambre 2 a un lit queen size et placard. Chambre 3 dispose d'un lit queen size et placard. Le débrayage sous-sol fini dispose de 2 chambres et une salle de bain complète. Une chambre a deux ensembles de lits superposés et la deuxième chambre a deux lits jumeaux. Il y a une table de ping-pong, un baby-foot et une télévision. Trois ensembles de portes françaises mènent à une véranda ombragée avec une table, quatre chaises et un hamac pour se détendre.

Les escaliers mènent au quai. L'eau est d'environ 12 pieds de profondeur. Parfait pour nager et flottant. La station d'accueil offre à la fois le soleil et l'ombre sur les chaudes journées. Déjeunez au bord de l'eau à la table de pique-nique. Poisson sur le quai ou attacher votre bateau ou motomarine aux taquets qui sont fournis. Il y a un pédalo et deux kayaks à votre disposition pour un peu d'exercice ou une vue panoramique sur l'anse.
Le sont des chaises, des flotteurs et des nouilles disponibles pour votre usage dans le hangar à bateaux.
Il y a une rampe de lancement privé si vous devez apporter votre propre bateau et / ou motomarine. Il y a des marinas sur le lac qui offrent à la fois bateau et scooter des mers location.
La maison est idéalement située à proximité de Food Lion, Ace Hardware, station d'essence, restaurants et plus encore.

Family vacation

Great place to stay! Had plenty of room for the family to spread out. Except downstairs bedrooms were a bit on the small side. Everyone had a great time playing ping pong and foosball. The deep water was wonderful for floating, swimming and kayaking. Beautiful sunsets.

This house was perfect for our two families to stay for the week. Great space, well appointed, fun activities - kayaks, ping pong and foosball. This is a beautiful spot on the lake with spectacular sunset views. Plenty of good dock space with comfortable loungers, shade, fans, frig. We enjoyed our meals on the screened in porch. We all certainly wished we could Linger Longer. Highly recommend!!

We had a great time for our first extended family trip to Lake Gaston!

The property was as advertised. Very clean, open and spacious, fully stocked kitchen, great dock and plenty to do! Owners were very easy to communicate with although check in to check out and everything in between required none.

Beautiful home!

We enjoyed this beautiful home, definitely would love to linger longer! We have a college and teen daughter and we hosted our family and their friends! The basement is a perfect hang-out for teens with ping-pong, foosball, and television! The upstairs has several dining areas and an amazing screened porch allowing us to spread out but sill feel connected.Our favorite part was the dock. We’ve stayed at Lake Gaston several timed and we really like this cove. It is perfect for kayaking and swimming, but allows easy access to the main lake for jet skiing. The home included access to a private boat ramp nearby which made it super easy to get watercraft into the lake.Wonderful home and gracious host!

This is a beautiful home with amazing sunset views over Lake Gaston. The community is quiet and surrounded by woods and deep water. The home was meticulous and well stocked for our needs. One of our favorite features was the deck and attached screened porch. Kids and adults alike enjoyed jumping off the dock, kayaking and floating on the tubes provided. We rented a pontoon boat for a couple of days from Eaton Ferry Marina and added to the enjoyment. The beds were comfortable and the floorplan worked well for all of our family members, including children aged 11 to 20, parents, aunts & uncles and grandparents. The ping pong table and other games and activities provided hours of entertainment. We had an amazing week at Linger Longer!

Heaven at Lake Gaston

Wow, we had an amazing stay at Linger Longer. Wonderful hosts who have a most beautiful home. Everything you could ask for, inside and out the home. Well stocked kitchen, beautiful screened porch and we spent most of our time on the dock which had everything you could need. Chairs, floats, kayaks etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our week!

Amazing sunsets

This home exceeded our expectations. The house was immaculate. Views from the screened in porch were gorgeous. A perfect spot for morning tea. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, you can view them from the porch the dock and the deck. Owners were very responsive.

We found this property quickly when our other home fell through. It was a blessing indeed! The home was very clean and well represented on VRBO. The owner answered questions honestly and was responsive. We didn’t need to contact her for anything during our stay, everything went smoothly.

Great change from the beach!

Wow, what a great week we had. Lake Gaston is unbelievably beautiful. This property is almost like being on your own private lake next to the lake. Our kids tubed, swam, skied and had a fantastic time. Almost 18ft deep lake at the dock was great to swim and fish. Thank you! We will be back to Lake Gaston for sure.

Lovely & Relaxing

This is the second time we have rented here and it was another wonderful visit. Even though the weather was cold and rainy our group of 10 ladies had plenty of room to relax, have quiet time, play games, work on puzzles and enjoy the kayaks and pedal boat when we had a bit of clear weather. Having the Food Lion so close is very handy and we enjoyed the restaurants in the area as well. Feels far away from it all, but convenience is close by. We look forward to renting again at this beautiful place.

We had everything that we needed at this house. Well stocked kitchen and floats for the boathouse. Loved having a refrigerator on the dock. This house does not supply linens so we had to bring our own sheets and towels.

Wonderful Week!

We had a wonderful week at Linger Longer ... we seriously wanted to "linger longer" ... pun intended :-) Very comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, modern TV's, wifi works great! The BEST though was the screened-in porch! We were here in October so more of a Fall season experience (we didn't boat or swim). Fabulous property and would love to come back!

First Time at Lake Gaston

We had an enjoyable stay at this property. It fit our family perfect and only had one issue with the AC the first day. It was very hot that week and the upstairs was not cooling down. The host was very responsive and had someone there the next morning. Location was close to stores and we discovered a wonderful coffee shop. The dock area was great for floating and hanging out. The stairs are a bit steep and need to be careful. Thank you for a great week.

Wish I could have lingered longer!

The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The screen porch was so inviting and I especially enjoyed my early mornings on the porch overlooking the water. The finished basement offered multiple fun things for my grown children to do. We also loved spending time on the dock watching the sunset every night. The view is spectacular. The steps down to the lake were a little challenging but we made it work. The owner was very easy to talk with and very attentive when I had a question. Overall the house was perfect for our family.

Great family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at this beautiful lakehouse. House was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities that we needed. My favorite room was the screened porch with the beautiful view of the lake. Every morning, I started the day with a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine at the end of the day while enjoying the view of the lake. Our kids enjoyed jumping off the dock and swimming in the lake daily. They also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. We also spent hours of laying on the floats. Lori was very friendly and responsive with any questions we had. My husband said this was one of the most relaxing vacation ever. We would highly recommend this lakehouse to anyone. We would love to come back again next year!

This place really felt like home. So warm and welcoming.

The owners were great in answering all my questions when I booked and the weeks leading up to our trip. When we got to the house light switches were very clearly marked which was a big help as it is a large house. It is very private and extremely quiet. It was a little off the main road but I only made one bad turn. The kitchen was great and had everything we could ever want. I hope you have a tall person with you as some of the shelves are a little high. The refrigerator was super and the dishwasher extremely quiet. The bedrooms and baths were convenient and clean. Loved the screen porch which was fantastic for late night “girl” chats. The boathouse was very nice and had a lovely bar area. We were lucky the water was so warm and all the teens enjoyed swimming. All in all it was a perfect place for a perfect family birthday celebration. In fact we had four. I wish to thank the Higgins for letting us enjoy their wonderful lake house.

Fantastic Property

Linger Longer was an amazing place to spend a week. The house is located off of the main lake and because the coves were rather large, it made us feel like we were on our own private lake. We have rented several houses over the years and this one has been the nicest so far. The house is modern, spacious, extremely clean and had the best screened in porch. In the past the screened in porches have been pretty much in need of repair with old, uncomfortable, in need of repair furniture, dirty and covered in spider webs etc.. and with multiple tears in screens. This one was spacious, clean and looked in perfect shape and nicely appointed. Any time not spent on the lake, was spent here-Day and night. The house had everything we needed and we were even provided water floats, lounge chairs, kayaks and other fun toys to enjoy the lake. The owner was friendly and communicated well. Always available when I had questions. This house was definitely a 5 star house and I would recommend it to everyone. We had a fantastic week and felt at home!

Amazing!!

This home and location are both beautiful! We had 10 people sharing this home and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. We had multiple people preparing meals at once with no problem. The grill was spotless and large enough for us to grill all our burgers at the same time. Seating options are wonderful as well. The bathrooms also accommodated our group of ladies and are well designed. My favorite place was the screened in porch. It is relaxing and comfortable and has a gorgeous view of the lake. We all enjoyed the pedal boat and the two kayaks. There is no shortage of things to do inside either. The TV area downstairs was very spacious and we were all able to enjoy movies together. Bill and Lori were excellent to work with before, during and after our visit. We had a glitch with the AC and they responded immediately and worked to have it resolved within hours. We all had an amazing time there and I am looking forward to returning. Also, the sunset on the lake really is as beautiful as the pictures! Thank you again Bill & Lori

One of our favorites...

What can we say? This is our 3rd or 4th time staying at Linger Longer and we love it. We hate writing reviews to bring more people, but we also know how important they are in choosing your property, so… Absolutely a 5-star property with great owners and overall amazing experience. You will love the sunsets from the screened porch, living room, kitchen, deck, EVERYWHERE - completely stunning. This location on the lake is great too. It is through a very narrow and low bridge and so you don't get any boat traffic unless people are from that part of the lake. The private island and 3 fingers around this private part of the lake are great for boating and water sports. The property has 2 kayaks which are perfect on this quiet area. It would be nice if they would add a few SUP boards (hint-hint) but if they don't you can rent them literally around the corner. The dock has plenty of chairs and floats and the recently added dock bar adds a nice flair. Bring a portable speaker for the dock, as the dock sound system is for the owners only from what we can tell. The walk-out finished lower level is a great place for the kids and adults to hang and play ping pong and foosball. There are also two bedrooms down there. The master BR and jacuzzi are great. Very quiet neighborhood with quiet neighbors and the properties nearby don't seem like rentals, so you feel very secluded and private. The screened in porch is amazing for morning coffee! This is a must-stay property (just not when we are)

We had been vacationing on the lake for over ten years with our three children.
We fell in love with the lake from our vey first visit.
We actually bought one of the houses that we had rented.

As renters ourselves for over ten years we feel this property has everything.
In a great location on the lake, close to stores and restaurants. In a great cove that makes you feel like you have your own private lake.
The water off the dock is clean and great for swimming and floating.
The screened porch is one of our favorite spots.

Quiet mornings on the screened in porch. Fun filled days on the dock. Swimming and floating. Enjoy beautiful sunsets in the evening.
