Just returned from whitsand Looe , property had a fantastic location overlooking the harbour , good sized apartment , had everything you needed. DOWN side the parking is not great at all , itâs a struggle to get in and out of , as itâs the last space of 5/6 spaces with a wall at one side , so if someone is parked in the next bay, it is a virtual impossibility to get in without a lot of manovering , I resorted to reversing up the very very slim rd , so I could reverse in , the fact that there is a car permently parked at the end of the bay makes it all the more difficult. I drive a BMW so if your car is small you may ok , but if itâs BMW size or bigger you really will struggle. And just to mention the steps , there approx 40 steep steps down to the apartment and then approx 30 back up to get to the top floor where the apartment is , so definitely not for the faint hearted. And finally there is no Wi-Fi in the apartment, which was a big surprise in this day and age
The listing for this apartment is very accurate - there really is no wifi. There really are lots of steps down from the parking space and then up to the flat. It is also a decent walk over to East Looe and back but none of this was a problem for us.
The apartment was lovely - very clean and had everything we wanted except a decent space to hang some clothes up. We had some TV problems (European cup was on so we wanted to watch some games, but not in a pub) but they were fixed very quickly by the property managers.
The location is quiet, the view from the windows is spectacular and we were able to visit lots of places by bus and car. The beach is also very clean and there are loads of good places to eat, for all budgets.
Finally. The parking space. We have an A1 and found the space incredibly tight - it's up against a wall on the passenger side and the passenger has to get out before going into the space. But it's similarly tight on the driver's side and if there had been anyone in the space next to us, I don't think the driver would've been able to get out! Seriously I'd say if you have anything currently described as a 'medium' sized car, it's a challenge. Big cars, no way at all. However, there is free parking on the roadside right up to Hannafore point, athough it can get busy on there. Also, for loading/unloading, we recommend bagging a spare space in the Rock Hotel car park across the road but that is a private space for hotel guests, so it is a bit cheeky, but doable.
Fast alles gut.
Awesome cosy apartment with 2 bedrooms and both with on-suite bathrooms, very ideal for families. Stunning view of the beach and ocean from bedroom and dinning/living room. I would definitely recommend staying in this apartment. 10-15 min walk round to the beach walking along either the coast or through the little town. No need to take your car and park in the busy car park. Glad I booked extra days as did not want to leave this apartment and enjoyed the view everyday.
The apartment had a wonderful view over the beach, harbour and along the coast east . It was well appointed and cosy and we would stay there again. However access from the car park is down 50+steps and then another 30+ up to the third floor, so anyone with a mobility problem would not be happy with it. Access to the to the town was about a ten minute walk, with the nearest shops being five minutes away. Next time we wouldn't take so much baggage now we know that the apartment was well organised and shops were to hand.
Fantastic property with amazing views. Access is tricky but we'll worth it when you get inside.
No WiFi was my only issue as the apartment was advertised with 'Internet'
