Very clean and up to date loft style cabin. It was easy to find and no problem getting in. A convenient location to all the trails, river and town too! I definitely recommend Wildwater rafting and make sure and stop by Rum Cake Lady for the most delicious food.
We stayed a Thursday- Sunday. Kitchen 10 stars- there was everything you needed and more- stove gas and top of the line. The fire pit surrounded by ferns and bordered by a babbling creek was just what we needed. Placed the chairs in creek and watched the minnows and listened to the frogs. 1920s claw foot tub- icing on the cake. Out of all the places weâve stayed this is our favorite. We will be back.
Pros: clean, quiet, cozy, good communication, feels isolated but close to town, nice tubCons: dogs that patrol beginning of driveway and bed wasn't too comfortable
This little cabin is so cozy, with lots of personal touches that show it is well-loved. It's close to town but tucked away enough to feel like you're off by yourselves. Sheila was quick to respond snd gave great directions; check-in was easy! We would definitely stay here again.
I look a working vacation from this cabin and worked remotely for a week. Just my dogs and I we didn't go anywhere, but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole place. We're definitely stay here again.
My husband and I had a much needed getaway in this cozy little cabin. We were also able to bring our dog, Baxter! The clawfoot tub was amazing and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone was able to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. We would definitely recommend and we will be back again ourselves!
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. And the weather was perfect. With such a busy schedule I was looking to get away with my dogs for some mommy. fur baby time. We were actually there during the coldest time (lowest temp was 6 degrees). The propane fire place gave the cabin the perfect feel and heated the cabin amazingly. Shelia was an amazing host with communicating with me about the bad weather that was gonna happen during my stay and was so kind to offer to reschedule but I declined and still went (best choice). She checked on us daily which meant a lot to me. Definitely canât wait to return.
If you are looking for a timeout you are here at the perfect spot! Beautiful, cozy, very clean and welcoming cabin in the middle of the woods. Just between the state lines of Georgia and Tennessee. Loved it! We recommend this cabin 100%.
We figured it out and weâve been coming to Fernbank for 10 years! Itâs always just what we need in every way, close to all the things we enjoy: riverside shops and restaurants in Mccaysville, Crane Creek Vinyards in Young Harris, Brasstown Bald, Helen, etc. But the cabin itself is a favorite- relaxing and refreshing. We love the fire pit by the creek!Thanjs again for a wonderful visit!
The cabin was a great place to stay and relax. We enjoyed building a fire down by a little stream of water and just enjoying the sounds of the wildlife....birds singing and squirrels scampering about. The cabin was stocked with more than we imagined regarding the ability to cook our own meals. We enjoyed eating breakfast at the cabin and then hitting the road for daily adventures.
Highly recommend this cabin!
We got there and it was clean, there was plenty of silverware and extra blankets if we had wanted them, and we didn't have any problems with the property. I'd love to return for a longer stay next time!
Lovely visit as always! We had everything we needed and enjoyed the cabin . Loved Mccaysville, Blue Ridge, Crane Creek Vineyards . The cabin is close to all our favorites! !
This is a small cabin built by my husband and son. Since both are now gone, we are especially grateful for the memories here. I am retired from a variety of careers, including university work, physician recruitment, and non-profit management. I served 10 years on my city council and eight years as county commissioner. My dog Winston accompanies me to the cabin and loves it there!
Great when you want to get away and just chill out. Read. Write. Watch SEC sports! Or take in local antiquing, hiking, rafting, tubing, etc. Not to mention some great eating.
Affordable! I want to make a trip to the mountains accessible because it has meant so much to my children and grandchildren to be able to go. While not fancy, it is very comfortable. An affordable option.
