Only problem I had was the yard was not mowed. I'm sure that was out of the hosts control. Other than that, the house was cute and had a rustic beach feel to it which I loved and only one block walk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time at this little cottage that was only 1 block from the beach! Aside from being ON the beach, this couldn't have been a better location. The beach at Kure is also really family friendly as it's not overcrowded at all. The beach did get busier on Saturday and Sunday, however never to the point that you felt claustrophobic. It was always easy to keep your eyes on your kids both in the water and on the beach. I personally preferred that to the busy beach of Carolina Beach just 5 minutes up the road.A 5-10 minute driver brings you up to Carolina Beach with a bunch of restaurants and other attractions that we did on two of the nights we were down there. We had the best time, and will definitely be coming back to Kure Beach again!
We loved the property and would highly recommend it. It was a convenient walk to the beach and dining, and a short drive to shopping and entertainment. The space was perfect for our family of four plus our dog. Consider this strong endorsement.

We had a great time during out stay at this house! We had 9 people and there was plenty of space for all of us to relax and enjoy ourselves. The house is located just one block from a public beach access so we could just walk back and forth whenever we wanted. The house was very well-stocked with dishes, linens, cooking supplies and paper goods. When we had a need, Erin was quick to respond. Another nice thing was the garage attached to the house where we could easily store sandy beach items. The outdoor shower was also a big bonus! We had a great time and definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting a fun and relaxing vacation at the beach!
The kitchen is well equipped (there was even one tool in there that I couldnât identify). Very close to an uncrowded stretch of beach, and a short drive to the more active sections of town. The stash of beach chairs and umbrella cart in the âgarageâ is also a nice touch.
Carolina/Kure Beaches are beautiful and laid back (read not Myrtle Beach). They are great for a family getaway.
Tony Silvagniâs Surf School is a great way to spend a few hours. Tony is one of the top American longboarders, but odds are heâll be the one answering the phone if you call him. Great guy and great business he runs. Iâm darn near 50 and he gets me up on the board.
The cottage was cute and had great location. The pictures online show a very bright and airy place however in reality the windows had shutters that made the inside dark and dreary. The online picture showed a beautiful landscaped yard and at the time of our stay a 3 story condo was being built behind it. Iâm not sure if this would have changed my choice but it was a little disappointing.
Still everyone enjoyed themselves and the cottage is very cute.
Honestly, right now I am waiting for my refundable deposit to be returned and I donât like that it is taking so long.
Absolutely great place to stay! I wish we could have stayed longer. The house is well stocked for cooking and kept very clean. Great communication with the host and we had a very nice conversation about places to eat and things to do. It was myself, my husband, my daughter and her husband and 5 month old, my son and his 11 year old daughter. Easy entry into the house and a skip across the road to the beach. Such a nice and very much needed weekend we had. I will definitely look for this property when planning another family vacation.
We rented for a long weekend at the beach with 2-parents, 2-kids, Grandma and pup. House is well stocked with kitchen tools and board games. Location is unbeatable! Very much enjoyed the stay. Check-in and out was easy. Would recommend!
Charming beach cottage, perfect location - quick walk to the beach, quiet at night, cool during the hot days, well stocked!! There was even a large beach cart we could use to cart our chairs, towels and cabana to the beach! Owner was accommodating easy to communicate with. We hope to return!!
No central air or window units in half the rooms. Not enough fans to keep air flowing throughout the house. Found several cockroaches in pantry, bedrooms and living room. Canât see or hear the ocean, unlike description says. No extra linens, no hairdryer.
Easy walk to beach.
Plenty of room for families, lots of parking, large dining area and deck made meal time enjoyable, comfy beds, easy walk to beach, really couldn't be any more perfect!
We had too much fun! We rode bikes everywhere, played Pickleball, hiked the state parks, visited the historic site, took the ferries to Bald Head Island, walked the beach, ate a bunch of seafood, attended the Island Men Mac and Cheese Festival, and saw some amazing sunrises and sunsets. The dining room table was the best gathering spot. Erin was available if we needed anything. Hope to come back next year.
Our annual Thanksgiving family vacation was a success. This was our first time staying at the Lime in the Coconut and we loved it. There were 8 of us. Plenty of room .
Our stay for the weekend was absolutely amazing! Super close to little shops, bars/restaurants, and the perfect distance away from the beach. The decor of the house was so cute and made you feel right at home. Our host was super friendly and helpful! Highly recommend booking a stay here!
Couldnât make it to the beach for a full week so we found this little gem for a 2 night stay. Erin was very quick responding to a few questions we had. House is adorable! Plenty of room for me, my husband, daughter, son and 3 other 17 year old boys. Only one block from direct access to beach which was an easy walk. Be sure to check laundry room because it is full of beach goodies (beach wagon, chairs, umbrella, etc)âŠâŠ.we did not do that until check out. :( All sheets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc. were supplied too!! Thank you for making our first trip to Kure Beach a great one! We will be returning!!
We had a wide range of ages stay at this home (from 2yrs to 5ish) and WE ALL ENJOYED IT. Great amount of space for the kids to play around also! Not to mention - the SUPER SHORT WALK to the beach! We enjoyed our stay and everything that the host had to offer within the home, plus great communication. Thank you for hosting us :)
I'm a New Orleans native, and love Music, food, and culture. I spent 30 years in Washington, DC in the promotional products business and chose to move to Kure Beach for a place to raise 2 spirited children. I am still very active with my promo business, and also have 4 other rental properties on the island.
The proximity to the beach and downtown Kure Beach is spectacular. This location is considered downtown Kure Beach, just 5 short blocks from the pier. We love this location because it's just a short distance from all the chaos, and where you can really relax. We love that the cottage is on the ground, and not a vertical situation, like most other homes in the area. Step out on the porch, put your feet on the grass, hear, smell, and see the ocean begging you to come play in the sand.
