This was the perfect spot for our family vacation. The house was clean, welcoming, and in a fantastic, quiet location right by the beach. The outdoor spaces and decks were perfect for relaxing after a long day in the sand and surf. Beautiful ocean views, comfortable beds, and our great host Jennifer made the whole process seamless. We would love to stay here again next summer!

Sand Castle

The location was great. It was right on the beach and close to local sites. We loved the Aquarium and taking the ferry to Southport.

While enjoying the beautiful and peaceful oceanfront at the Sandcastle, you can also easily walk to the Fishing Pier just four blocks away and enjoy its nice restaurants, shops, playground, and other activities. Fort Fisher's Civil War attractions, the Aquarium, Fort Fisher state park, and the ferry to Southport are just a short drive (2 miles) away, and all the Carolina Beach restaurants, shopping, state park, boardwalk, and carnival rides are also just 2 miles in the opposite direction. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back to vacation at the Sandcastle soon!

This property was perfect for our family’s visit to Kure Beach! So convenient being on the beach with our daughters!! The home was very clean and well kept! We will definitely stay here again!

Very nice getaway

The Sandcastle is small, but perfect for a family vacation. Everything was as described in the listing. It is in a nice section of Kure Beach -- away from more densely populated areas. A great place to stay.

Beautiful views and easy beach access!

We loved our week at the Sandcastle. The owner, Jennifer, was very friendly and helpful and the house was the perfect size for our family of 4. The view was beautiful and loved the private beach access! Convenient location with a short walk to the pier and restaurants. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing Vacation Home!

We had an amazing stay! The house was absolutely beautiful—spacious, clean, and so thoughtfully designed. The back deck was a favorite spot for relaxing, and the private beach access made everything incredibly convenient. We’re already planning to come back next year, hopefully for even longer. Seven days just isn’t enough to enjoy everything this home—and the area—have to offer!

Great location

Great location near the pier. Great deck with picnic table and swing. Comfy beds and pillows. Owner was very nice and helpful. Our family loved it. We even saw dolphins playing in the ocean.

Dream house

The house was perfect. Not many like this left on the island. Perfect size for a smaller family with out paying a fortune like the rest of them. Beautiful views of the beach and the pier. Will definitely be going back to this little oasis.

Had a great time at the property! Was there with our family of four including two teenagers. Excellent location right on the beach and easy walk to the pier and restaurants. Carolina beach is a short drive for more dining options all of which were excellent. House itself was very nice and updated and if anything the pictures don’t really do it justice. AC was ice cold and had everything we needed. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!

Kure Beach Vacation

We enjoyed this location and cottage. We were right on the beach and only 4 blocks from the pier. Great seafood at local restaurants. We walked on the beach everyday and found lots of sea shells and sharks teeth. Pretty sunrises and if you drive to the end of the beach great sunsets as well. House was clean and had what we needed for our stay.

Family Vacay!

This was such a wonderful vacation with my little family. The house is exactly as described. It was so conveniently located as well. Being right on the beach was very beneficial, especially with small kiddos. Jennifer was a fabulous host and made sure we knew everything we needed beforehand. We will definitely be back and would book this house again and again.

Updated VRBO, ideal location. Large deck accommodates everyone in our party. Beautiful view of ocean. Within walking distance to the pier at Kure. Avoid the parking fees! Lots of activity options in the surrounding area between Wilmington and Southport.

Sweet spot on the beach

Our family of four loved the location and easy access to the beach! We spent countless hours on the porch swing. A note for future guests- the rooms are bright in the AM. If you have little ones bring something to darken the rooms.

So glad you loved our easy access and convenience to everything, Vanessa. Beachfront homes on the Atlantic have direct views of beautiful sunrises, it is true, but our room darkening blinds should give you plenty of sleep-in time when closed. The porch swing is our favorite spot, too!
