We stayed at this property in the past and loved it. Now there are new owners and it somehow got even better. The back patio overlooks a large Amish farm which is beautiful. The carriage house is very clean, well decorated and is the definition of cozy. Owners are very friendly, welcoming and certainly helpful. A+
Everything about this cabin was just amazing. From the picturesque outdoors, the amish farm adjacent to the cabin, runt the kitty, miracle and hope the cows and of course the hosts that were very attentive to their guests. Not to mention how close you are to everything. You won't go wrong renting this home.
I really did enjoy our stay- granted we weren't there much. Very clean- had all the things I needed like home away from home.
My husband is 6'4 and a big guy-he did not enjoy the ceiling heights or the bath tub. I didn't mind it but I would've liked a shower head up top and a curtain. I hoped for a king size bed but it had a queen we made due for 3 of us- mom, dad, toddler. My most favorite part was the back "porch" looking out into the crop fields.
My daughter and I spent two nights, as we had tickets for Daniel and wanted to do some sightseeing and shopping. Itâs a nice location and close to many eating, shopping, and activity places. My daughter and I did the STRASBURG Scooter covered bridge & farm tour, which was fun!! The cottage was clean and although the ceilings are low in the upstairs bedroom and bathroom we managed, and I knew this when I booked. The mirror is also hung low, so we recommend you bring a makeup mirror. I did miss having a shower, but it worked!! There is no TV in the bedroom upstairs, so I got the bed to myself, and my daughter crashed downstairs. We were gone most of the day, so we didnât cook meals. The air conditioning was working perfectly!! We did get a visit from the tiger cat and saw the guernsey milk cow out back. Thereâs a gas grill, which we didnât use, and sitting benches. The yard is very large with rocking chairs available for relaxing. Patty was very nice, and we had no problems with our stay, and we didnât get to meet Ron. The main Osceola House is gorgeous and the landscaping is beautiful. Iâd definitely consider booking and staying here, again.
This cottage was just lovely. The surroundings were serene, and close enough to all the fun of the Lancaster area. And our special neighbor (Miracle, the cow) just added to our joy. And finally, the hosts were remarkable. Quick to respond when we asked for suggestions on where to eat. We highly recommend the upgrade to enjoy the breakfast from the attached inn. We will be
back!
The cottage was in a country setting. Very clean. The hosts could have not been more accommodating. Made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed
We had a wonderful stay in this adorable cottage! It was a cozy little home away from home. The owners are on one side & pasture in the back with a patio, beautiful view. Pat and Ron are so nice & welcoming. I just loved the little kitchen & dining area! It was a vibe. It is perfectly named, just adorable. Would recommend this property & hope to visit again!
Everything about Oceola Mill B&B is enchanting. Pat & Ron, owner/hosts, create a warm, comfortable, relaxed and accommodating environment from the moment you arrive to departure.
We feel refreshed and have memories we look forward to repeating.
We enjoyed staying in the Carriage house. It was quiet and peaceful. Pat is an absolute delight . Its not too far from many things to do in Amish country.
We loved staying at this cottage, it was just right for our little family of 3. The clean, comfortable cottage overlooked the neighboring Amish farm (my 9 month old loved seeing the mama cow and her calf pass by!)
The location was great, all the attractions we wanted to see were 15 minutes away or less.
Pat and Ron are excellent hosts, they greeted us as soon as we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed.
I really enjoyed my stay here. So peaceful. The carriage house was quaint and historic with all the little quirks that come with that--steep creaky stairs, squeaky doors, uneven floors. I loved it all! The ceilings upstairs were not for tall people. The air conditioning worked very well. I went and sat outside with my coffee one morning and all I heard were birds singing and the clop clop of horse hooves. Surrounded by the neighbor's farm, it was my kind of heaven. The kitchen had everything I needed
and there was nothing that I thought I was missing. There were even "rags" available to clean up dirty stuff if needed so the beautiful white towels would not be ruined. I would definitely stay again.
If you love being in a secluded location in an absolutely adorable idyllic setting, then the Osceola Mill House Cottage is just your thing! Located in the back of the main house, you have your little Gingerbread home, the back & side facing an Amish Farm with a big, brown cow that visits in the morning's & at dusk. There is a very friendly barn cat named Runt, who thinks it's his home too! Pat & Ron are wonderful hosts, super friendly with Mom & Dad vibes! Comfortable & cozy with an awesome bedroom & cute bathroom upstairs. My husband & I were gone most of the day, but looked forward to coming "home" to this treasure. We'll definitely go back in the fall for another stay.
Quiet, peaceful and a very clean place for sure. Patricia provided everything you will need. Living âamong the amishâ in a historic cottage was a great getaway!
Very nice, quiet and comfortable. The stairs are steep getting up to the bedroom/ bathroom and the 2nd floor ceiling's are low. The tub/ shower was a little awkward due to the low ceiling's as well. We enjoyed our stay (only 2 nights). Just what the Dr. ordered....
The Osceola Mill Carriage House is close to all of the Pennsylvania Dutch attractions of Lancaster County, and yet out on a country road surrounded by Amish farms. While enjoying all of the pleasures of Lancaster County, each guest helps to support the County by paying a Lancaster County local tax, listed on your quote as the "Property Fee" .
