We stayed at Wes's house for a week with our family (three kids) and my in-laws (2 kids) and had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space for everyone, and the kitchen was large enough for big family meals, which we really appreciated. Our favorite part of the stay was being right on the water, and we fished, crabbed, and made good use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Smith Point Beach was close, but we recommend Cupsogue Beach - bit longer of a drive but a nicer spot. The house appears to be occupied, which I don't recall being in the description. The upside is that the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed, and there are plenty of towels, etc. The downside is that the drawers and closets are mostly full, so there's no way to unpack for a longer stay. Thanks to Wes for being super helpful and sending easy check-in instructions and plenty of tips for enjoying the area!
We had a wonderful 9 days in Wes' home over the Christmas holidays. Wes was very responsive and very accommodating, allowing us to have packages delivered and even put up a Christmas tree (which in the end we didn't do) and even on post-departure logistics. The location is lovely with beautiful views of the water, and very quiet. The house is is in easy access to all essential needs (grocery, pharmacy, etc) . The kitchen is one of the best stocked we have been in and great for a lot of cooking for large groups. I highly recommend this home for an easy, very comfortable stay.
this was the second time i've rented Wes' property, and i think it will become a semi-annual event. we loved every aspect of the house, and the amenities provided. we decided that september is the best time to come, and visit areas that are now somewhat familiar to us. we even used the lirr and metro system in nyc. we hated to leave, but will definitely return!
Fantastic house! Pictures do not do this property justice. The deck is amazing and the views are beautiful. We spent a lot of time at the house - yard, deck, kitchen / dining room, living room and upstairs loft (overlooking the water). We love to cook, and took full advantage of the wonderful kitchen. Mastic Seafood is a gem, highly recommend. We rented a boat at Silly Lillyâs (Moriches) and had a fantastic ride around the bay. Smith Point beach was great.
This property was just incredible. Beautiful house, on a wonderful property, and attentive renters. The home owner went well above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great experience. Certainly made a dream vacation come true for my large family. Could not have asked for more.
My family spent a week here and it was so wonderful we didnât want to leave! This property has everything you could ask for in a vacation rental. The house is spacious with lots of sleeping accommodations and an incredibly well-equipped kitchen. The deck is huge and ideal for family BBQ dinners. The yard is beautiful and perfect for games and running around with kids. Overlooking a lovely inlet and surrounded by wooded areas, the property feels very private and peaceful. Nearby Smith Point Beach is great (we went nearly every day) and the local fish market, meat market, and farm stands made for some amazing summer meals. If youâre looking for a family vacation spot, look no further! Highly recommend!
I initially chose this property because my Alaskan cruise was cancelled -- what a lucky break that turned out to be! The house is perfectly located on a quiet inlet that is populated by many water birds, regular birds, squirrels, and deer. We had a small, one-off issue with the air conditioning, which was quickly resolved with Wes, the owner, and Craig, his handyman (and Mr Bones, his wonderful English Springer Spaniel, who never came in the house).
The house gave us both north and south fork access to the Hamptons area and its wineries, and allowed us to use the Jitney into the City. We visited so much of the area, yet we left some to be discovered in a future stay -- I can definitely see myself and my high school buddies using this location next year for our annual reunion.
The property is really awesome. It is clean and has everything you need to have a good time. Proximity to the beach is about 15 minutes away. Smith Point Beach is a really good beach. We liked a lot the kayaks and paddle boards. Grilling and enjoying the house, specially on COVID times was great. We ended up eating at the house and enjoying the house most times. We ordered food from outside just like twice.
The responsiveness from the owner was also great. He was always replying right away when we had questions.
We had a great time, the property is beautiful and just perfect for kids. It was fun to kayak around and cook in their amazing kitchen! They literally have everything so it makes an easy place to stay if you happen to be flying in. We loved our time here.
The property is set back, away from neighbors and on the water. Its a spacious property that is maintained and kept in great condition. Check-in and information needed was sent by the owner and was very easy.
The property is huge and off the road. Feels insulated. Huge lawn, dock access to bay, sandy pit for the fire ring. Ample room to cook, and that family table? Made for memories. Lots of games for everyone, clean, spacious. The tv was a thing. Never figured out how to watch the NBA playoffs, but that was our bad. Easy access to Montauk Parkway. One hour to the Hamptons. One hour to JFK. The kids favorite part was the kayak. We would stay again.
Beautiful house with gorgeous water views. We stayed here with extended family for a week in August. The house was wonderfully spacious and comfortable for our group of 10. The cooks in our group were thrilled with the chef's kitchen and every night was cocktails on the deck, watching the swans on the water, followed by a feast at the long, beautiful dining table (with incredible fresh fish from Mastic Seafood). The kids enjoyed playing on the lawn (although they had to watch out for goose poop). We tried out the paddleboard but weren't comfortable swimming off the dock, because of boat traffic and algae. Smith Point beach was a short drive away. The surf was pretty rough but we went a few times anyway as the bay beaches were tiny and full of algae. All in all, the house was terrific and scenery was gorgeous; didn't love the beach or the town of Mastic.
This place was great!! We had a rehearsal dinner and had approximately 30 guests all comfortable on the deck!!! Everything we needed was there and as a previous poster stated,, the pictures do not do it justice!!
My family and I stayed at Waterfront house in Mastic Beach for a week and couldnât have been more pleased with our experience. We found the property to be just as advertised. In fact, even better than the photos. The house was super-clean and cozy, and filled with everything you could possibly need for a serene getaway. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Closets were well-stocked with extra pillows, linens and beach towels. Kitchen had all the essentials for cooking/grilling. We had our rehearsal dinner for our bridal court and it was perfect!!
The location couldnât have been better -- it was a five-minute drive to the main roads and some shopping centers.
The owner, Wes, was great, very responsive. When we first arrived we had some trouble going to the house. I sent him a text and he replied within minutes with instructions. Also any instructions for the house were left for our convenience at the house with a nice welcoming gift.
If my family would return to the Long Island area, we will definitely rent this house again.
