Great house in a great location. Comfortable rooms, and a large kitchen and family room. Very short walk to campus. Owner was very helpful and easy to work with. Highly recommend this house.
We had a great time staying at this property. There were 6 of us (4 adults, 2 children) and the accommodations were perfect. The owner is incredibly responsive (before and during the stay) and provided great information on the area and things to do. The location is PERFECT - it was a short, easy walk to the stadium and everything (grocery store, all of the best restaurants, campus, etc) is within a 2 minute drive of the house. The furnishings are simple but the house is stocked with everything you need. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of pillows to choose from, more than enough towels and bathroom supplies, and the owner even supplied breakfast so we didn't have to run to the store after arriving at night (and icing on the cake - knowing we had kids he even bought Frosted Flakes - happy kids = good weekend!) Sadly, I doubt UGA will play in South Bend any time soon but if our travels ever bring us here again we would definitely stay at this house! Thanks again and GO DAWGS!
I grew up in the South Bend area and now live and work in the area. I lived in this home for 9 years before my wife and I moved, so we know the area very well!
This is a gorgeous neighborhood that has carefully blended new development with its deep rooted history. The neighborhood is very walkable with wide, well-maintained, sidewalks and low-density traffic. You can walk to Trader Joe's and Eddy St. Commons without crossing an intersection with a traffic light. It is also a very easy, pleasant walk to Notre Dame (10-15 minutes).
The East Race Trail is less than a half mile from the house. Kelly Park is just one block north which features a kids playset, soccer nets, and basketball courts.
