We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. The home was clean, had everything we needed, and has the most breathtaking views. Stavros was accommodating, professional, and a great host. There is a grocery, restaurants, and a bakery nearby. We highly recommend staying here!
We had an amazing stay at Stavros' place in Mani. The house is quiet surrounded by olive groves RIGHT on the sea with amazing views. The pool is fantastic and there is a BBQ and patio for outdoor dinners. The house was comfortable with AC in each of the rooms with both bath and beach towels which was greatly appreciated. The location is absolutely fantastic! Within short walking distance to Stoupa beach with all the shops and restaurants and within short driving distance to Kardimyli, Limeni and many remote beaches. Would definitely recommend!
This stand out feature of this property is the location which is absolutely stunning, only 10 minutes walk from Stoupa and easily accessible to Agios Nikolaos on the cycle path. The views are absolutely stunning, and it is very private. The property is clean and the host Stavros, very amenable and helpful, but respects your privacy. The pool is a good size, although understandably cool at the end of October! All in all thoroughly recommended.
An idylic villa situatuated on a panoramic rocky outcrop and surrounded by beautiful olive, lemon and orange groves. Stoupa, Kardamyli and Agios Nicholas sit on the azure blue sea and are backed by dramatic mountain ranges.
The pictures really do not do the villa justice. We were really impressed with the careful thought Stavros put into the construction and furnishing of the property and its beautiful pool & outside areas.
Stavros was very thorough showing us around and he checked in on us mid way through our stay to see that everything was to our satisfaction.
We came with a toddler and he happily played for hours in the lush garden without any incident.
We can't wait to head back again in the near future for a longer stay.
Mulberry Villa is a wonderful place to relax in secluded luxury. The reality of the villa was just as nice as the listing images. The villa came well-equipped with appliances, dishes and towels; everything we needed for our stay. The washing machine was much appreciated to keep our clothes fresh. A dishwasher is also provided. For the ladies, we found multiple hair dryers in the closets and cabinetry. The backyard features the pool and a beautiful stone patio on which a wood-fired permanent stone grill rests. We visited in winter and didn't utilize the pool, but at very least it provided a vibrant ambiance for our stay. The villa has three bedrooms (two small beds in one, for kids) and a generous couch. As a party of two, we enjoyed having ample space in this property.
The villa is just outside Stoupa; close enough to walk to in ten minutes through the beautiful olive groves, but just far enough away to ensure the exclusivity of the site. Agios Nikolaos, a nearby fishing village with its own restaurants, can be accessed via a nicely-maintained walking path along the coast. Taking this ~40-minute walk (each way) is highly recommended on a nice day for anyone who visits. The villa grounds has remote-controlled gates which we closed at night, though we felt perfectly safe in this property.
Stavros, the owner/property manager is a kind and reliable gentlemen. His English is excellent, which led to smooth communications, as we know no Greek. When our Athens HomeAway rental was found to be uninhabitable on arrival, a last-minute inquiry to Stavros led to a very smooth earlier-than-planned arrival at Mulberry thanks to his wonderful responsiveness. Stavros lives nearby and checked on us a few times during the stay, in a non-intrusive way, to ensure that everything was going well. He provided wood and fire-lighting supplies for the fireplace, which really added to the charming ambiance.
For those visiting from America, be aware that electricity is much more expensive in Greece and any rental you utilize will often come with a key-card on the keychain that has to be inserted to turn on the electricity. (the refrigerator is on an always-on circuit) Also, clothes dryers will not be featured in most places with washing machines. This villa provided a drying rack which worked quite well.
We had a very peaceful, relaxing stay and would recommend this villa to anybody.
The house was just as advertised and the grounds as beautiful as the photos had suggested. The views are stunning from the different balconies and extensive terrace. The pool was perfect, if a little cold in April. Stavros was extremely helpful at every stage - from booking to guiding us to the house on arrival late in the evening.
The house is secluded but just a few minutes walk from the village of Stoupa which has plenty of friendly local restaurants. The new footpath/bike trail along the coast to Aghios Nikolaos makes an enjoyable excursion. You can walk from Kardamyli into the hills for amazing views of the coast.
