We had a great stay at the Old School House, Ian the host was very friendly and extremely helpful. The house is very well equipped with everything you would need for a base whilst you explore Norfolk.
Great house for 3 generations to stay for family celebration
Great communication before and during our stay.
Suited our needs really well (only improvement could be a second shower in main bathroom)
Spacious, Baby Friendly House in Lovely English Village
'The Old School House' provides generous and flexible accommodation, including all amenities needed for including infants (crib, high chair etc.). The host is most accessible and responsive, and Wereham is a tranquil and engaging village (with a great local pub providing excellent food), close to many interesting sites for day trips. A lovely place for an enjoyable holiday.
This property is in the beautiful village of Wereham. My family and friends stayed here for my son's wedding in a nearby village. The Old School House is amazing - such a lovely house and I can't recommend it highly enough. We would definitely stay here again!
An old characterful house in a lovely location. Comfortable lounge with lots of seating, well-appointed kitchen downstairs. Upstairs..spacious bedrooms and bathroom.
Worked well for our family of grandparents, parents and siblings and two small children to attend a family wedding nearby. Clear instructions were left.
It was ideal for us.
Lovely well equipped house. Suited our extended family of 8 adults, 1 baby and 4 dogs. Owner very friendly and kept us up to date. Would consider a return visit
Loved this huge but homely home.
The location overlooking the lake was an added bonus.
Ian and Debbie left us a bottle of Prossecco, sweets and a lovely card, really nice touch.
A neighbour brought us round some home grown tomatoes đ
I would definitely go back and would definitely recommend đ
Thank you Ian & Debbie xxx
We were an extended family, grandparents, adult children, grandchildren (6 to 15) and two dogs. Ian was a superb host, there when needed but not intrusive and extremely welcoming. The property was lovely, well equipped and warm. Plenty of room for our party of 9 plus 2 dogs. The location in the village was also ideal overlooking the pond. The pub opposite made us feel at home too, staff and customers friendly, food great. I really hope that we will be able to make a return visit. Thank you so much Debbie and Ian
Very relaxing few days in a very friendly village. The village is very picturesque and the house sits right on the edge of the village pond which as a temporary resident you are allowed to fish. The village pub is very welcoming and serves lovely food at very reasonable prices. The village is in a great location for touring around Norfolk. Ian is a great host and even provided access for us to plug in our electric car overnight so we were fully charged every morning. That saved us alot of running around.
Great shower in one bathroom and a bath in the main bathroom which is very large. Beds are very comfortable and the house has all the amenities you could need. Highly recommended.
Welcomed by owners Ian and Debbie on arrival who showed us into the house. A lovely surprise of home made scones with jam and cream laid out for us in the spacious kitchen. They were extremely helpful and kind.
The house is large with a great kitchen and sitting room . There are four good sized bedrooms upstairs with an ensuite and family bathroom. There is also a downstairs toilet. There is a bench, small table and chairs outside the front in the little garden for sitting and gazing at the stars on a mild evening.
The washing machine drying rack and use of the dryer in the owner's garage was very helpful for us after 10 days traveling before arriving at this lovely spot.
It is situated in a small friendly village with church, pub and duck pond which had large carp who come up for the bread you feed the ducks. One day we even saw a dray horse being exercised walking through the village. The pub was clean and the owners friendly and helpful. We had a couple of meals there that were reasonably priced and cooked well.
Thanks for a great stay.

This seasoned property was well-situated in a small village just across the pond from the local pub. It provided us with plenty of room for five adults and was a good home base for exploring some of the coastal areas of Norfolk. We loved the ability to have a fire in the fireplace each night.
Our host, Ian, was very welcoming and helpful.
While some of the appliances could stand to be updated, overall, we had a pleasant stay.
Great size house although it is looking a bit tired with quite a few cobwebs but that didnât spoil the stay. Lovely village with friendly residents and pub. Communication with owners was excellent.
We stayed with 5 children/teens and two dogs. Comfortable house with all you need. Friendly host who lived next door and Ian was hand for anything you may need. Lovely friendly village pub opposes serving simple but good pub grub. Very dog friendly (even providing dog towels bowls and treats) we will be back đ
Lovely spacious property in a beautiful setting.
Hosts very welcoming and helpful.
Would highly recommend for a large family/friends getaway.
In reality not much to do in the village (apart from enjoying the idlyic setting), and we all have cars so were able to travel around. It's a shame that the local pub doesn't serve food every day, having said that it didn't stop us enjoying a few drinks sitting outside and watching the world go by!
The village pond outside the property has ducks and is full of fish! As I said previously, such an idyllic setting.
Great hosts, great property!
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the old school house. Great position for day trips travelling to Norwich, seaside and other areas. Ian and Debbie were lovely hosts making us feel completely at home.. will definitely recommend. Great size for 2 families 6 of which were adults.
Recently retired. Have had holiday home in this village for 16 years and always found it relaxing and enjoyable.Neighbours are very friendly and helpful and local pub has excellent beers and is very welcoming to all. We now live for much of the time in the property next to The Old School House and try to welcome all guests personally
Idyllic location. Lovely village. Well situated for visits to Cambridge,Ely, Norwich, Sandringham, North Norfolk coast, Many National trust and English heritage properties.
