Location is good to both Northstar and Palisades. House is clean and good for families. Hot tub is well maintained. Overall we had a really good time. Pro tip: the road the house is on is a loop starting and ending on 89. If you drive away from Tahoe City the entrance to 89 has much better visibility making it much easier to enter 89 in both directions.
The location is good, the weather was beautiful and Laure responded quickly to us. This residence is not suited for small children and/or anyone with mobility issues due to the stairs connecting the levels.
Seriously a wonderful place to gather family and friends. I hosted my extended family over Thanksgiving weekend. There was a snow storm during that week but stopped as we arrived. Street & driveway access was easy (w/o chains) even when icy. The grandkids loved playing in the snowy backyard, the parents loved the hot tub, we all like the private spaces we had, and the kitchen was great for cooking for the bunch. Our only snafu was, although listed, the BBQ was (understandably) stored for winter and we needed to pivot the menu. Owner and manager were all helpful - including ways to remedy the BBQ situation. I love that the place and TWO dryers. The pleasures of life!
Our party of 10 had an amazing stay at this property over the July 4th week! The house has plenty of space and was stocked for entertainment for all ages. The house was clean and comfortable and the private beach access made this whole week all that much better! Already talking about when we can make another trip back!
The vacation was a huge success in large part to the property we rented. It was perfect. The weather was hot but because of the access to the private beach it did not matter. We had 11 people staying and the house handled the group easily. I highly recommend this property.

Perfect big house for our large group ski trip. We loved the ability to adjust the # of rooms to our group size - it really is what influenced us to pick this property. Kitchen is very well-stocked which made group dinners easy and fun, we loved the great big kitchen table. E
Laure was very pleasant to work with and went out of her way to explain things during the payment and check-in process.
We had a great snow weekend with 3 families, ages 5 to 72. This space is amazing and the various rooms are truly beautiful, especially the two upstairs suites with gorgeous light and views. Recommended!Caution: triple-check your pricing with a message to the owner, beyond just the automated platform messages. The owner is trying to do a pretty cool thing here by offering variable pricing for adding on different spaces - unfortunately it's too advanced for VRBO's abilities. The result is that you may wind up with an inaccurate quote. In our case that initial math (miscalculated by VRBO, according to the owner's desired calculation) went uncorrected for several months, until the owner asked for a correction that increased cost by roughly 40% at a date when it was too late to find alternate properties. I think the owner is entirely honest here though I wish the mistake were caught sooner. I appreciate the owner's communication and good-faith negotiation to resolve this.More & better info: the backyard is gorgeous and probably makes a really fun kiddo sled run with a foot or two of snow. The bear fencing at three separate doors is a bit strange and off-putting, though I see it's becoming the norm in this neighborhood. I wish the confirmation lights worked better to clearly display when it were armed. A really great beach is just a 10min walk downhill! The street and driveway at the house are easy but road is steep near Hwy 89.
Check-in was simple and convenient. The place had three nicely setup rooms and enough space to battery comfortably in the living room. Kitchen was pretty well equipped.
Great spot for the whole family - steps to the Lake
The house (we used all 5 bedrooms) was a great spot for a family reunion. House was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor space with the hot tub and lawn games was a lot of fun for the whole family. Access to the lake and community space a short walk away was a plus. We'd come back again!
Oh, my goodness. We truly enjoyed our stay at the beginning of June. We had a big group but it never felt that way at this property. We loved how everything was set up.
Great location - quiet but close to the slopes and stores
We had a fun time in this property! The living room filled with large windows gave a very nice view to the snow scape! The outdoor hot tub was a nice touch with a nice view! BBQ grill is conveniently located on the deck right next to the ktichen and dinning room which made it extra convenient to cook and serve. Besides the tedious process of turning off and unhooking the bear wires everytime we go outside, the overall experience of the stay was very nice!
We arrived on 5 May to an unlikely snowy paradise. Everything inside and out of the home was shipshape and clean. Although we only rented three of the bedrooms for the five friends, more units were available if needed. Laure was responsive to our questions. Hot tub was a lovely respite, especially as snow continued to fall all around. Very cozy LR couch for all. Dining room table is a lovely planed timber and seating gave us a fabulous view down to Lake Tahoe. We walked down the road to enjoy the HOA private beach and dock area. So peaceful.
We stayed the week of Christmas 2018 and had an amazing time. The location is fantastic with everything close by. We had a large group and used the main house as well as the two units attached to the garage and were very comfortable. Our kids and dog LOVED the back yard! Even though it was quite chilly, they were out there on the swing, playing horse shoe and throwing balls for the dog every day. And the hot tub was also super nice! The rest of the house worked great for us too. We were all very happy with our stay. The only minor recommendations we have are to supply towels for the hot tub and to replace the slats in the bunk bed in the downstairs garage unit because there are several missing and it seems a bit un-safe. Otherwise, the house was very comfortable for our extended family and we are so appreciative that you would share it with us. Thank you!
This house is beautiful and the location is perfect. House was clean, backyard is phenomenal but I must say I was disappointed with hot tub smell. It smelled like a fish tank. Fridge was not cool enough and my milk was warm next morning. Propane gas ran out while grilling my bbq. I am not the one to leave a negative comment but I was very disappointed. If those inconveniences would have not happened my stay would have been 5 stars. Overall was ok. At least property owner is very efficient with responding back.
We really enjoyed our stay! The home has a great layout for a large group...we rented the main house and the additional building as well. The bedrooms are all VERY nice and there are plenty of well-appointed bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor spaces - the side deck, the hot tub, fire pit and horseshoes. Super fun. The bear fences are a little tedious but clearly necessary (all houses around have them too!) The location is awesome - walking distance/short drive to the private beach access as well as a great little market and restaurants. We were there for a family wedding and the house was perfectly situated between our weekend events near Homewood and Dollar Point! The house needs a few minor touch ups but nothing that would deter us from staying again. The fireplace needs some repair (but no need for it in August), and consider replacing the living room couches/furniture which looked a little worn compared to the rest of the house. Would be nice to have more comfortable, ample seating in there. Overall, a great find and very responsive hosts as well :) Thanks for a great Tahoe Labor Day stay!
We had a wonderful time in this huge home and huge yard. We loved the corn hole, horse shoe, and hot tub. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space.
We had a bit of a rough start as the cleaning crew had a mix in their calendar and we had to wait until almost 7pm for them to finish. Because of the rushed cleaning, there were some things missed outdoors, but overall it was fine.
We would have loved a hard copy of the notes for the home. It was frustrating to not have that handy for information/directions to private beach/house procedures..etc.
Things to know: The private beach is down the street and a great place to relax, but you need to drive as the street is too dangerous to walk across. I couldnât find any information about an access key, only that we needed to put it away at checkout.
There are no baking sheets and only 2 very old pans besides for the cast iron. I wouldâve brought my own, as we like to make breakfast.
There are no notes to add chlorine to the hot tub unless you happen to see the can of it on the ground.
I recommend this place, especially if you have a large party!!
Outdoor space was great for a large family. The hot tub and corn hole game were fun for evenings outside. The property itself had some areas that could benefit from improvement. The bathrooms were updated (although worth mentioning that the master bath does not have a door-- it is open floor plan into the bedroom. For families sharing bathrooms this makes coordination awkward at times and would have been nice to know prior to booking) and nice but the outdoor porch from the main floor looks like it needs some work. Additionally, the areas in the house could benefit from cleaning -- for example the light fixtures in the kitchen clearly hadn't been cleaned. They were covered with greasy dust and dead gnats. Additionally, the lock boxes on the doors are old and very difficult to open. We got off to a rocky start with the host. A lot of the check in procedures and information were not clear and she was not available to respond to questions we had but once we were on the second day of our stay she did respond and we worked through issues we needed. Access to the local HoA beach was a direct walk down the hill but it would be nice to offer beach chairs or something for renters so that when people travel to the house they are able to take something to sit on at the beach since it's rocky. If you're traveling from out of state, this isn't something you can bring in travel luggage.
Forest, mountain, or beach? Boating, skiing, hiking or biking? No more difficult choices; Tahoe fulfills all. Our family is quite active, and in Tahoe, there is always something to do: hike, a new beach to relax at, a new concert in town, and a unique sunset to photograph.
Our house is ideally located, so close to town but far enough to be quiet, within walking distance, and with filtered lake views. It has private beach access within walking distance of the forest and the Tahoe meadow. Our house is also seven minutes from Homewood, where you can park and ski without traffic jams and crazy parking nightmares. It is fifteen minutes from beautiful Emerald Bay and its turquoise water. Our house has four master bedrooms plus one bedroom; it is a perfect layout to accommodate everyone: Families with little kids waking up early in the AM. Teenagers who want to sleep in. Grand-parents who want a quiet nap after lunch. The big plus for us is the large, fenced garden, as we have a giant dog and plenty of children visiting.
