Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit allem was man braucht in bester Lage: bequemes Bett, Bad mit Whirlpool, normal ausgestattete KĂŒche.
Nettes Willkommen mit Wein und Milch im KĂŒhlschrank.
Sehr empfehlenswert.
Accommodation in a very quite area up a single track county lane. It has everything thing you need. The photos do not do it justice. In a lovely village with one pub, but no shops. Great location to visit the surrounding areas.
The property is very comfortable and extremely well equipped. Very peaceful location with lovely views. Perfect for walkers, being right on well used tracks. Access road very narrow - very glad we never met anyone coming the other way!
Everything was very good. The cottage was clean, welcoming, a beautiful location with an unmissable view yet easily accessible and extremely handy for Bath and Bristol.. It was quiet, private yet the owners were handy and helpful if required. We were on our way to Cornwall so it was a very pleasing stopover - we stayed a week.
We had a very enjoyable week staying in Owl Cottage. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed with plenty of hot water.
The views out of the cottage are far reaching and we were lucky enough to experienced some glorious sunsets.
The kitchen area is small but well equipped and there is a shared washing machine available.
We would definitely stay there again.
My partner and I had an amazing break in in this property. It was in a great location with amazing views across the countryside. Lots of nice touches around the property including a spa bath. I would happily recommend this property to anyone who wants a peaceful holiday.
idyllic country cottage for a relaxing break with amazing views.
Lovely property, well equipped and just a short walk to the village with a great pub with good service and food. You can get a local bus into Bath and Bristol from the village (although not very frequent, so check the timetable). Beautiful countryside with lots of places to visit, such as Castle Coombe and Bradford-upon-Avon. Take a walk on the River Avon in either direction for lovely walks and plenty of pubs which all managed social distancing restrictions well. Try the Cheese Factory and coffee shop in Kelston, you won't be dissappointed.
Beautiful spot, hidden away in the countryside. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The area is stunning with some great walks and incredible views. 10/10 would highly recommend!
The barn was very clean , and comfortable . Area is beautiful, stunning views a walk to the Kelston clump is worth it. So much to see and do nearby, Lacock village a must. Thank you we will definitely return . Heather and Rob Cornwall
Great spot for a couple. Quiet spot with great local walks and views. Easy drive into Bath or Bristol. Cottage was clean, and well equipped. Highly recommend
Home from home...and maybe a little better? The countryside is just a few steps away!
It was a little cold as we walked in, but hey, it's January. Soon warmed up to the place and found a very helpful manual of how to do, where to visit, where to shop etc. Thus we soon mastered the fire , central heating and that sort of stuff. We couldn't help but notice a bottle of wine to greet us. Also the table was set and ready for a sit down and a cup of tea with sweet biscuits sitting in wait. The cottage overlooks a huge valley looking toward Bristol. It's a delight at night to see the twinkle of the lights in the distance because it reminds you of just how far you have escaped from the rat race.
First day it was a surprise how close Bath was! It's a bit of a trick to get parking but would suggest parking in Waitrose Car Park...but be patient as on a busy day you will face a queue to enter and it's not so cheap but better than some other city prices. Very useful to do a bit of a shop on your return to the car also. Bradford on Avon was the second day (Sunday in fact) and found it so picturesque and full of history and architecture. The pubs are quaint as is The Bridge Tea Rooms. I'd like to say it reminds me of somewhere like York or Canterbury....but in fact it's unique.
The Old Crown is a pub which is the nearest but for some reason we ended up at The Swan. After explaining that my companion and I would not be able to eat a huge Sunday roast we both ended up ordering two children's size meals. We only just made it to the end! The portions were huge! I could write more, but my now I think you are getting the idea .....
Our weekend was wonderful and if I had to score out of 10....I would give an 11.5.
Many thanks to George ( our host)for his efforts to make a weekend away great!
A beautiful, quaint hidden gem. Comfy and inviting. Easy to find.
We wanted somewhere quiet to escape the hustle and bustle for new year and this beautiful cottage delivered exactly what we wanted. I cannot recommend owl cottage enough. The whirlpool bath was relaxing on a cold evening and the fire in the lounge gave a romantic feel - all cosy and warm. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of red wine and some tasty treats. Would love to repeat next year!
