Superbe maison de campagne ayant beaucoup de charme et de caractÚre, située dans un endroit unique, retiré et calme, avec une vue magnifique, sur l'océan et la montagne, à courte distance du centre ville.
Elle se compose:
D'une salle de sĂ©jour, un poĂȘle Ă  bois, une grande cuisine, 1 chambre double avec 1 salle de bain attenante et 1 WC.
Cette villa et sa piscine sont nichées dans un parc arboré ou s'épanouissent toutes les essences d'arbres et d'arbustes de l'ALGARVE.
Dans son jardin se cĂŽtoient rosiers rares , agaves et fruitiers.
A 460 m d'altitude la ville Monchique offre au détour d'un sentier le spectacle de la mer, la fraicheur des riviÚres cristallines qui dévalent les rochers, les vergers et les cultures maraßchÚres en terrasse

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this villa in Monchique, Portugal. The location is truly stunning – perched on top of the mountain with breathtaking views in every direction. It felt so peaceful, yet it was only around 40 minutes to reach anywhere we wanted to go.The villa itself was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. The grounds were just as impressive – perfectly kept, and a pleasure to wander around. Eulalia, the villa manager, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable.The highlight for us was definitely the pool. It was large, crystal clear, and wonderfully maintained – we didn’t even need it heated in August. Relaxing by the pool while soaking in those views was unforgettable.The kitchen was also extremely well-equipped, making cooking at the villa a breeze. Overall, this villa exceeded our expectations in every way – we can’t recommend it highly enough and would love to return!

A beautiful cottage in lovely gardens

A lovely authentic cottage in pretty gardens. A gem to find a rural property within walking distance of good restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Useful to know... If you arrive after 9pm, all the supermarkets/shops are closed, so get the basics you need or want for the night and first thing in the morning, such as water/coffee/milk before you leave the airport. The pool is a great size with lovely views. The Monchique area is delightful. A lovely holiday.

The place was fantastic and quaint! A nice drive up the mountain from monchique, the property manager was fantastic. She took her time to walk us through the property and show us around. It was the exact quiet get away we needed, with beautiful restaurants within 3-10 minutes away. The driveway in is definitely narrow, we had a 9 seater van, so we opted to park atop the driveway as the house is at the bottom of a hairpin turn after a steep hill.Other things to note is the house is built into the side of a mountain and is definitely old. Take care when cleaning after cooking. At no fault of the hosts, considering the style of dwelling there were some ants. But it really wasn’t a bother. Simply comes down to personal cleanliness! Netflix or prime did not work on the tv as it is a bit out dated, there were some English channels that had movies on but again it won’t reflect my review as the reality is our time was mostly spent exploring the region. I would book this accommodation again

We loved this private villa in the hills. The property was beautiful with an amazing garden and large pool. Our only regret was not having more time here.

This is the best place to stay in Portugal. The home has everything you need with a wonderful view of the valley and the sea. The host is most accommodating and helpful. We truly intend to return.

Lovely peaceful villa surrounded by beautiful countryside. very comfortable, well equipped and tastefully furnished. We loved our stay here and enjoyed explorin and walking in the surrounding area. the pool is fantastic and wonderful to come back to and cool off after a good walk. thank you

nice guesthouse in Monchique

A very nice guesthouse near Monchique and very quiet. Also very good for the winter saison (fireplace!) Big garden area with orange trees. Big pool, unfortunatly too cold fĂŒr us in December. If you want to hide from tourist places at the south coast, thatÂŽs a nice compromise in the mountains.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and the villa's size, equipment and location surpassed any expectations. Our meeting up with the Villa manager was simple and Eulalia was always happy to help. Only mistake was not booking the wonderful villa for longer !

Perfect for a quiet holiday with choice of local restaurants and lovely walks.

This is such a lovely place. Peaceful and relaxing with a great pool and fabulous mature but well kept garden. The house has everything you need and is spotlessly clean and larger than the pictures suggest. Several of the local restaurants are just a walk away and the town has a relaxed vibe and is certainly not ‘touristy’. Being able to go for walks from the doorstep into the hills around us was fantastic. Pascal and Eulália were lovely hosts and extremely helpful. Would definitely return here.

Can’t wait to return

Me and my girlfriend stayed here at the end of our portgual break to wind down after being by the busier towns and coast, my only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. The hosts couldn’t be more accommodating, fast responses to any questions I had. The villa is fully equipped with everything you may need. It really is a beautiful villa, very spacious and as for the pool
. big, clean, the views were amazing, we could have easily hung out here for two weeks! We will 100% return and recommend to anyone we know visiting Portugal.

A Gem In Monchique

Just concluded 7 nights at your property and absolutely loved it. The property provided all the lovely comforts of home along with a beautiful pool and landscaping that excites us daily. We felt spoiled with all the space and privacy. Monchique is such a charming town isolated town yet 30 minutes away from the action of Portimao and Lagos. Our hostess EulĂĄlia warmly welcomed us and set us up with the property and town. We are looking for excuses to visit again soon.

A peaceful oasis

This property is lovely. Spotlessly clean, well-equipped kitchen, large pool. Gardens nicely landscaped and has a couple of orange trees. Great views. Quiet- only birds and the occasional dog from across the valley. We were warmly welcomed by Eulalia, who can show you the shortcut into town and has good tips for places to eat, good beaches, etc. Despite feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere, town is a 15 minute walk or a short drive, and beaches west and south are 45 minutes to an hour away. Our regret is that we only stayed a week.

Delightful Month in the Most Lovely Part of the Algarve!

We had the pleasure of staying more than a month at this charming villa! Aside from the very pleasing design, this comfortable and well equipped house (there are actually 3 separate sleeping areas ), we loved having a working fireplace, and a well-fenced garden for our little dog. The garden is gorgeous with large citrus trees (help yourself!), lush flowering plants and plenty of outdoor places to sit. For some the large swimming pool might be the focus ~ it's very inviting ~ unfortunately the weather did not permit us to use it. We definitely appreciated meeting our exceptional hosts Pascal and Marie, and Eulalia (whose help was enormously valuable to us). Rent with confidence ~ you're going to LOVE this place!

Even better than the description!

This is a quirky house with lots of personality. Beautifully decorated, cozy and comfortable. The bright sunny kitchen is well out-fitted with all the conveniences of home. Direct access to the patio dining area was a bonus! Livingroom, dining room, kitchen and bathroom are all quite large. The bedroom is small but more than adequate. Outdoors, the gardens, pool, sitting areas (many), and the surrounding property are sublime. It is the perfect place to relax. We really enjoyed picking fruit right from the tree. Fresh oranges for breakfast are a real treat! The property is situated in a perfect location. Easy walking distance to Monchique (1km) Several nice walking trails right from the property. Fabulous views with not a neighbor in sight. Several good restaurants located within a 5-10min walk. We'd like to thank, both the property manager and the owner for making our stay PERFECT! I really hope that we can come back for another visit sometime soon!
