Amazing amenities, the host thought of everything. Parking was a cinch (especially coming from Los Angeles, I was blown away at the ease of street parking), and the apartment was cute and spacious.
The host was a very lovely lady and showed us around the apartment with instructions. No kitchen table but two nice stools at the kitchen bar. There is one nice armchair in the kitchen area with a tv above the little fireplace. This is a small area for one person. The bedroom is very large and the kitchen is not too small. The cons were the extremely steep, narrow staircase of 19 steps. The bathroom is very tiny. Only room for one person at a time. The king bed was way, way soft. Possibly was an older all foam mattress that sinks so low itâs difficult to turn over while in bed. If you have back issues this is not the bed for you nor the staircase while carrying up a suitcase! The house is in a great location. Only minutes from Churchill Downs and downtown/riverfront.
Would recommend this property to any couple traveling to Louisville. Itâs the perfect size for a couple, itâs extremely clean and very comfortable. The air conditioner works very well and the amenities are all that you need if/when we come back to Louisville, we would request this apartment again. Thanks to our host. We really enjoyed it!
This property is just as advertised. It's a historic property in a wonderful location with easy access to downtown, neighborhood restaurants, and the airport.Highly recommended.
Our 2nd year in a row staying at this beautiful home! Came down from Ohio for the JVA World volleyball Challenge held at the KICC. Love the location and the neighbor is nice and quiet. Thanks again and see you next year !
This is a very nice place to stay. Very clean and fast response from owner Cheryl. However, I did not know it was an upstairs unit. Iâve had both knees replaced and a broken foot and it was a little more difficult than I was expecting. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting this area.
Loved staying here. Its close to everything i needed. The place its self was very clean , tastfully decorated and comfortable to stay at. I would definitely stay here again.
We were in town to see a concert. We stayed for a weekend. The owners were very responsive check in was easy. The place was spotless very clean. The neighborhood was quiet. Itâs about a mile and a half to downtown Louisville, maybe a little less. I wouldnât walk it because you have to go through some pretty shady areas to get there. Less than 10 minute drive. We didnât cook there, but it looked like there were adequate supplies if you wanted to. Water in the fridge and coffee, tea, sugar, creamer. Some reviews indicated the bed was too soft. Itâs a nice bed. Itâs a memory foam mattress and is softer than we are use to but thatâs a personal preference. I was so impressed with everything I would definitely stay again. The only thing I would love to see is a plug-in fan. They had a ceiling fan, but I canât sleep without an actual fan blowing air and making noise. Rarely if ever do VRBO owners provide this and it would be such a bonus. A lot of people sleep when these fans. I did bring one because itâs such an important thing to me, but it would be nice if I didnât have to pack one. I would definitely stay here again. (FYIâŠPraying for the owners for healing and comfort you were awesome even in the midst of your health battle.)
This home is beautiful. The surrounding homes are beautiful. We were comfortable walking the short distances in this area. Great location easy to get a Uber from here to anywhere. The suite is private with our own entrance. The owner met us as we arrived (late). Great stay. Contact with Cheryl was very easy. She responded promptly when I realized I needed to extend our stay an extra day. We would absolutely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here during a 4 day music festival. Owner was nice, easy to communicate with, neighborhood was quiet and in convenient location for us, bed was comfy, apartment was cleanâŠeverything was great! Weâll be back.
It was a very nice place. Clean and stocked well. The mattress topper was so fluffy I felt stuck. Thatâs the only thing I didnât care for. Thatâs just preference.
This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The kitchen was well stocked. The communication with the owner was great and check in very smooth. Would stay here again.
I have owned this property since 1996. I'm a retired realtor. My interests include gardening and am proud that my backyard was selected for the 2016 "Old Louisville Hidden Garden Tour".
This property is located in close proximity to many activities such as Churchill Downs, St. James Art Fair. There is a dynamic dining corridor 2 miles away as well as The Yum Center, Louisville Bat Museum and other museums and theaters.
