Rare Sud Ardèche . Orangerie . Piscine Privée. Calme . Nature . Panorama.

Hi Kevin Thank you for your feedback. Christophe, our caretaker, told us how sad you were to leave our beautiful place. The Orangery is a paradise, you're right, and all the seasons express themselves in this rare place. Spring is the season of flowers, and roses, irises and wildflowers never miss a beat. Summer is drier, and all the shades of green in the trees come into their own. You mentioned the hundred-year-old box trees, that's true, but you left out the great oaks, the hundred-year-old cedars, the old olive trees, the laurel hedges, the Florentine cypresses and others… We take great care with this 1 hectare garden, which we manage sensibly to protect the flora and fauna as well as the environment. and wildlife, as well as saving our planet's precious water. We love English gardens, but the Ardeche in August is drier because of our latitude, summer heat and water is scarcer. The Orangery was designed by an architect who exploited its great qualities as a passive house, which we made suntight and protected with a pergola and gas-fired double glazing. That's also our aim. And it's true that we need to manage the natural coolness in the mornings and evenings. Like all houses in the south of France, we have to keep the house closed up all day in the day in summer to benefit from all its coolness qualities. However, to further improve the comfort of our guests, we are planning to partially air-condition the sleeping area by 2025. All our best Franck + Aude
