Great location, very clean, manager very accommodating and went out of way to make sure we were comfortable a request acknowledged. Would highly recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our family and fur babies! Communication was great especially when we needed assistance with the A/C. Would definitely come back again!
This was my 2nd time staying here. It was extremely clean each time. All of the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked and so our towels and wash cloths. The owner went out of her way to make our family vacation special. She was very kind and even loaned us a few things. This property is right on the beach and has a beautiful view from the balconies. Close to shopping and food. I rate this a 5 star home that I will go again to sometime.
This was our first visit to Gulf Shores. The house and location were great! We could walk to the beach and across the road for coffee easily. The house fit 3 families with teens and young adults. All 12 of us were very comfortable. The main living area was great to hang out and play games!
We had a great girls' trip stay! Accommodations were perfect! Close to the beach and other attractions! Also, I don't know if the weather came with the house, but it was perfect! I highly recommend this rental! We will definitely be back!!
good location; Nice and roomy for a large group; Kitchen was well stocked.
Nice house. The bed was broken when we got there but Kay was very quick and repair man came and fixed the next day. The fridge is small and was missing some shelves and drawers so made it a bit more challenging for a large group. You have your private access to beach and view of the water but missed the full view of the gulf.
The property's location is terrific! Every room have LARGE TVs. The house could stand a bit of TLC, but you shouldn't spend too much time inside, anyway...
My advice to owners is to buy a gold reusable filter for the coffee maker or use the filters left over from previous guests. (We left a big stack there as we can't use them at our house). It would be nice to have a few amenities such as cooking spray, common spices (salt, pepper, etc) utensils for the grill (hard to scrap the charcoal grill with plastic ones)
We enjoyed our quick weekend stay and the house was clean and large enough for entertaining...
The house location was great. The size and bedroom situation was wonderful! The counter was covered in sugar ants. We killed at least five 2 1/2â cockroaches. Kay May insisted that I send her a photo of my credit card and picture of driverâs license ummm she said like a hotel check inâŠmy credit card company called to ask me about two suspicious transactions that took place two days afterward one for $300 and another for $3000. I did not make the transactions! Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed the beach and trip!
This beach house was actually perfect for our needs. It was comfortable, spacious and steps from the beach. Since we had 4 children under the age of 5, the proximity to the beach was a big factor. As others have mentioned, the house could use a bit of TLC, but overall it was just fine. We were minutes from grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. The owners were quick to respond whenever we contacted them. There was a bit of an issue with parking and the home in front of ours (also same owners,) but that was more the inconsideration of those tenants than the fault of the owner. I guess that can happen whenever shared space is an issue. All in all, we had a great week and would definitely consider renting this house in the future.
* when we arrived, both of the large blue outside trash cans were filled to overflowing, smelled horrible, and we had to roll them out to the street
* also when arriving, we had to move 6 pieces of the former dining room table to move our stuff in. I donât know what you paid LUCAS S. for breaking it but they bought a plastic 2x6 card table.
* The first night, A LIVE BLACK BAT literally crawled out of upstairs bath tub drain after water had drained out following childrenâs bath. The drain hardware that holds the drain plug is broken. I went and bought a drain cover. I have pics of the BAT IN THE TUB.
* bifold laundry door was pulled down by an 18 month old girl. We had to secure the door.
*the downstairs bathroom has both a broken towel bar at the shower and a cracked toilet seat that pinches your left butt cheek whenever used.
*upstairs hall bath sink continually stopped up
*about 30 sand spurs were found in the den rug
* numerous lights do not work
*kitchen sink disposal inoperable.
*dishwasher leaks onto kitchen floor.
*kitchen sink constantly clogged
*back door to main floor deck needs securing at top hinge. It could barely be closed.
*main floor decking has nail heads sticking up out of decking up to 1/2 inch, making it dangerous for small children to walk on the deck, or anyone who might be barefoot, which is not uncommon when people are at the beach on vacation.
*we had friends come FOR THE DAY to go to the beach which exceeded the car limit. The owner arrived and was extremely rude as we complied to move cars. He threatened to start towing vehicles, asking how many people are staying here and that he would come back late night or early morning potentially kicking some people out. We had 13 staying the night for the week. The friends came FOR THE DAY.
Itâs a shame because it could be a great house, especially because of the location. These are just SOME of the issues.
