Took a gamble...
With no previous reviews we took a gamble... PROS: Location is fantastic, price is great! Very spacious. Owners were friendly & quick to respond, arranged for early check in which helped a lot! Private patio was HUGE & beautiful, but several workers throughout the day come & go through the storage closets in the courtyard so be prepared for that. AC worked great! King size bed was comfy.
CONS: Veronica the property manager, not so friendly. We felt like we were bothering her any time we tried to even speak to her- i.e. first day the place had no beach towels, she hung up on us while calling her to see if we could get some, came in, dropped them off while not saying a word to us.
The place is a bit dirty. We also learned that cleanliness is a little lax on the island. Every dish had to be pre-washed before we used it. Our feet were black from walking on the tile floor- we had to wet wipe our feet before we climbed into bed at night. The toilet was dirty around the base, the fridge was dirty. There were dead cockroaches on the floor by the bed the first morning we came in & lots of roaches each day after. Owners responded quickly to arrange exterminators- I realize itâs the tropics, but Iâd think that would be something you had done on a regular basis for prevention. There were a lot of roaches! Lastly the walls are VERY thin! First half of stay was super quiet, but last half we had neighbors on both sides and you can hear EVERY WORD spoken on the other side of the âconnectingâ adjacent doors.
Overall you canât be location & price! But just a few kinks to work out at this place & it could be 5 stars.
