“Wknd at Mary’s”

The Brown’s home is a great place to stay up in the hills at Mahogany run if you’re looking for some tranquility after a day of exploring the island. Then this is the place for you! Thnx again Mary we had a great comfortable stay!

I am from St. Thomas so this was a return home for me. Mary's place is a welcome respite from a busy day with amazing proximity to Magens Bay.

Great Condo, Great Location!!

We had a wonderful stay at Mahogany Run Retreat! Great location and we had everything we needed for a restful stay. Enjoyed spending the mornings watching the resident iguana hang out in the near by tree. Host was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend!

Heavenly escape

A lot of folks go to St. Thomas for the beaches. We went for the mountains (with a 5 minute drive to one of the top ten beaches of the world, which was all to ourselves early in the mornings). We loved every minute of our stay, thank you to Mary for being so communicative. We arrived in the dark and the first time driving in St. Thomas can be a little intimidating between the hills and the roads, but she got us there quite well. We loved the balcony, which is a private oasis staring at the mountains (and a sliver of water too between them). This is a private/gated community so very quiet and safe. You can tell Mary took a lot of effort to make the home very welcoming and warm, and her communication and instructions were perfect. Probably the best VRBO experience we've had. Thank you!

Fun week!

We had a great week staying at Mahogany Run. The property was clean, safe, had all the amenities that were listed, and served as a great home base for our daily adventures. Communication with Mary was quick and any questions we had were thoroughly answered. We started each morning sipping coffee and ended each night with cocktails on the balcony. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to our next visit to St. Thomas!!

Wish I would have booked for two weeks instead of one

Was a good option for my boyfriend & I for my first visit to Saint Thomas. The location was very peaceful & loved looking out over the green mountains/the bit of waterview in the mornings. Couple helpful notes - the road is quite steep entering/exiting the complex & there is a flight of stairs going down to the condo. Was a lovely stay and wish we had planned two weeks rather than one. Glad to have had the one week than not at all :)

The condo is amazing! Thank you! We loved the patio sections (2 total) and listening to the birds/animals in the background at night. Described accurately in VRBO listing. The property owner was extremely fast to respond to our needs/check in on us and we will definitely come back.

Nice Condo!

This property is located north of Charlotte Amalie. Sitting on the deck you are right above the closed golf course pond and can see a glimpse of the ocean. It was awesome everyday to get up and enjoy our coffee watching nature. Inside the condo it was spacious enough for us. It is older and we had to have some cleaning done when we got there. The property manager and owner are very attentive and responded quickly. The furnishings were comfortable (although we didn’t use the hide a bed so can’t say anything about that). The queen sleep number bed was very comfortable for us. The washer and dryer were great to have. There is plenty of towels, beach towels, sheets, laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Dishes were adequate the pans could use an update. There are only 2 restaurants nearby Brooks bar with delicious local food, you can sit there but it’s more of a takeout place. Root 42 is nice and nearby also. There are a lot of other restaurants in Charlotte Amalie or you can go over to Red Hook. The beaches are beautiful, Megans bay beach and Lindquist beach were are favorites. There are also hiking trails near by. We did the Megans bay trail head, it’s kind of challenging especially for our age. The only reason I gave the location a four is because it’s not real walkable, we prefer a more walkable area. The pool is a six or seven minute drive away, you have to drive to the other side of the complex to get to it, it is not a heated pool in the winter and was a little chilly in February. The driving on St. Thomas is somewhat challenging, very hilly and many curves and hairpin curves and left side driving! Overall we had a great time and the weather was beautiful! Great value.

The host, Mary, was very prompt to answer any of our questions, interested in how we were doing, and helpful with suggestions of things to do and see. We were thrilled to find a nice place within our budget. The outdoor balcony with a distant view of the ocean was our favorite feature of the unit. We had lovely peaceful mornings watching the birds and having our coffee and breakfast. Very quiet place away from the busy areas of the island. Thank you for your generosity!

Peaceful & Welcoming

We loved staying at Mary’s property. It was clean upon arrival, had plenty of towels to use. Beach equipment (towels, cooler, beach chairs). Every essential item you would need was available. The location is a little tricky to request taxi so rent a jeep for sure. This is also an island so make sure you have groceries/snacks as stores close early due to covid. Power does go out every now and then but that’s not controllable. It’s part of island living! I wanted peace and relaxation and we definitely got that here. It was so quiet and beautiful hearing all the different sounds in silence. Neighborhood felt very safe as there is a guard you must see to enter property. Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet condo with beautiful views!

Me, my husband, and our 10 year old daughter stayed here for a week. We loved how quiet and secluded the complex was! The little road to get there past the Old Stone Farmhouse restaurant was adorable. You truly felt like you were entering a secluded retreat. It was so relaxing. It was nice to have air conditioning in both the bedroom and the living room. The washer and dryer worked great, allowing us to pack light, and the condo had plenty of laundry soap, bleach, and dryer sheets. The kitchen was one of the best stocked I had ever come across in a vacation rental. Due to Covid restrictions, my husbands fish allergy, and to save money we ate in the condo or packed a lunch for the beach. I found everything I needed to make meals just like home. Although it has a sofa bed in the living room we opted to use the air mattress in the bedroom as the second bed as the full wall windows in the living room made it a little bright for late sleepers! The condo is just minutes from bustling Magen's Bay. 10 minutes away we found Lindquist Beach! It was never busy and had amazing views of other Islands, great snorkeling, shady picnic tables, good parking, and bathrooms. We didn't see Lindburg Beach until we were driving back to the airport but it looked like it had an inflatable water course and a swimming platform in the water for kids. Mary was an amazing and attentive host, checking in with us several times to make sure we had what we needed. Overall we highly recommend Mahogany Green!

Everything you need is right here

We spent 2 weeks on St Thomas In February. We've been visiting St T for more years than I like to admit, and yet we did not know about this charming little corner of Mahogany Run on the 'other side' of the golf course. A quiet and peaceful side where we could forget we even had neighbors. The condo is large and well laid out, with a real kitchen, large living room/dining room and bedroom. The best feature is that one wall running the entire length of the unit is glass and sliding glass doors that open onto 2 separate balconies. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast and in the glass topped table on the main balcony overlooking the golf coarse (currently closed) with the ocean off in the distance. The unit has Wifi, so we were able to do some work while there. The condo felt more like a home than a vacation rental, and we look forward to staying here again.
