My wife and kids loved the apartment. Classily appointed and convenient for trams, groceries, and restaurants. We hiked around a lot and were always glad to come back. We would definitely come again and recommend it especially for groups or familiew
Amazing spacious apartment very close to everything in Budapest centre.Never met Simon the host but kept in contact via phone and he was very helpful.Would definately stay here again
Group of nine of us hired this fabulous property in great location when running in Budapest marathon last weekend. The team were wowed by the authentic furnishings , spacious rooms and general vibe of the place. Plenty of space, warm and comfortable with fab cake shop 50m away. Suggest use yellow taxi too and from airport for ease and comfort as bus service was shockingly poor, confusing and we ended up having to take bus and metro plus 10 min walk to get there. Property on fourth floor , well lit and safe. Good WiFi. Simon was lovely and when we needed another z bed conjured one up. Absolutely first class comms from Simon throughout. We had minor problem with the hot water but sorted it out so a rare cold shower really didnât detract from this great value spot. Kitchen was well equipped and supermarket 1 min walk away. Make sure you get used to the double locking bathroom doors...one turn of lock not enough and caused quite a stir on the first night! Plenty of keys provided and maps and guide books available at the flat. Donât sleep on the lounge sofa on photo as itâs really not brilliantly comfortable...hence the extra z bed. You can feel the springs.... all other beds very comfortable.
We really could not have picked a better place..parquet floors, high ceilings ...a real gem and simon was a fabulous support throughout!
A sociable, easy going guy who is very well traveled and enjoys photography art and film! I have hosted people for a few years in the UK and here in Budapest and will enjoy meeting you and recommending some interesting places to visit in this magical city.
We wanted an investment property. We looked at about 5 and when we saw this we put an offer in immediately and secured it within a few days. It was a hostel and we just loved the space and light. Also, we know the area and Budapest is moving this way - it is near a university and has some superb streets and cafes and bars close-by which most tourists do not know about. It is hip!
We have kept the original space of the flat and just opened up a dark pokey bedroom into an open communal kitchen. Most apartments these days are chopped up and you loose that great feeling of expanse these period developments benefit from. We have to retained and enhanced this.
We have tried to furnish with as much individual items as possible to add personality and we have tried to create as much comfort as possible.
