Le Pineapple Retreat est situé dans la célèbre communauté Beachwalk Resort de Michigan City. Beachwalk accueille une variété de choses à faire. Nous avons notre propre lac Kai privé, beach-volley, piscine chauffée, aire de jeux pour les enfants, courts de tennis, terrain de basket, putting green et parc. Situé sur la rive du lac Kai, nous avons un café où vous pourrez prendre le petit déjeuner, le déjeuner et le dîner si vous n'avez pas envie de cuisiner dans notre cuisine gastronomique. Beachwalk propose des concerts en été ainsi qu'un spectacle d'artisanat le week-end.

Le Pineapple Retreat a une chambre principale, un lit king-size, une salle de bain attenante et un balcon privé. La deuxième chambre a un lit queen-size avec salle de bain attenante. La troisième chambre a deux ensembles de lits superposés, et la quatrième chambre a des lits superposés avec un fond plein et un haut jumeau. Le premier étage a un salon avec un canapé-lit queen et un futon en taille réelle, une salle à manger pour quatre personnes, un îlot pour cinq personnes, une table de cuisine pour six personnes et une table sur une véranda grillagée pouvant accueillir quatre personnes. Nous avons répondu à tous vos besoins en incluant un sèche-cheveux dans chaque salle de bain, une chaise haute, une poussette, un panier pique-nique, une couverture de plage militaire et des chaises de plage.

Vous pouvez marcher jusqu'au lac Michigan et Sheridan Beach, à seulement un demi pâté de maisons de l'ananas. Sur la plage de Sheridan, vous pouvez profiter de la natation, de la planche à voile, du jet-ski, de la voile, de la pêche et du coucher de soleil sur les toits de Chicago. Les autres attractions de la région de Michigan City incluent Washington Park, un parc public de 90 acres pour les promenades et les réunions de famille, et le Washington Park Zoo, tous deux à moins de cinq minutes de Beachwalk.

Pineapple Gifts

Very special place. Great location. Caring owners. Many clocks and lightbulbs not working. Maybe a message to be the light and live beyond time? Great energy. Dishes, etc were all labeled to be a certain number in a certain place, but it didn’t compute. All the same, the cluttered cabinets and mislabeled stuff added to the charm of the experience. Practice non-judgment. Owners had soap, toilet paper, garbage sacks, Kleenex and paper towels—all of which we brought with us because most rentals don’t give such gracious hospitality. Thankful. We loved the front porch, especially the swing. Such a gift and a grace to feel welcome in every moment. Pineapple motif everywhere. A reminder that we are called to live with kindness and generosity.

Very cute house in a cute neighborhood

The property manager was always available to answer any questions. The place was in neat order and located in a cute enclave. I am giving four stars to the accuracy of the listing because the enclave’s beach was not Lake Michigan’s but their own lake which sufficed for us but was not expected.

Best Weekend Ever!

Got some of my best pals together for a long weekend and we had the BEST time at the Pineapple Retreat. The house was the cutest place ever and we absolutely loved the amenities. Our host responded to questions super quickly, and everything was just lovely. Hands down one of the best weekends of my life!

Quite a retreat, indeed!

Spacious rental with everything you could possibly need. The home is equipped with everything you could want in the kitchen (all the standard pots/pans/utensils plus spices, condiments, foil wrap, etc and even a griddle for making pancakes). They also provide linens, toilet paper and paper towels, hand soap, and laundry detergent. Best of all was the beach chairs, pool rings for the kids to dive after, sand buckets and shovels for the beach, and 2 adult bicycles, a child bicycle and a couple scooters! The location was perfect - a short walk to the beach and the only road you have to cross has stop signs where the crosswalk is at. Or, walk less than 10 houses in the other direction and you're at the resort's pool with splash pad, the cafe with coffee, a few food options, and ice cream, as well as billiards table on the second floor and ping pong on the first floor. Close enough that the kids didn't complain about the walk and far enough that we didn't hear the noises right outside our window. I do think it's important to note that you have to purchase a $5 parking pass per vehicle and to use the amenities within the resort, each person needs to wear a $15 wristband (that you keep on for you entire stay). If those extra fees were mentioned in the listing, I didn't make note of it so it was a surprise to me; however, I felt it was well worth it for those perks. Great stay overall and can't wait to come back!

Pineapple Retreat Getaway

We absolutely loved the Pineapple Retreat!!! It was perfect for our family of 10. A little piece of heaven on earth. Plan to return next summer🙂 Excellent location for both the beach and pool. Screened in back porch was a favorite as well as the front porch and swing.

Weekend trip for family of 10

This rental was a great option for us. Perfect location to access the beach, and 50 feet or so from the community pool, coffee shop, tennis courts and bball court. We definitely would choose to stay at this property again and it’s larger in person than the pictures reflect. Great experience!

A Shame this Beauty is being let go

Great location, great property, great immunites, HOWEVER, needs one heck of a cleaning up. Great property, but not great for families with infants. My daughter swept the entire first floor the first afternoon, my son in law mopped the entire first floor the next morning. After this cleaning the entire perimeter of this property, both downstairs tile and upstairs carpet, still has a 1/4 line of crude along and on the baseboard (photos available). We have stayed in a Beachwalk property last year and it was great too, but without cleanliness issues. Don't count this one out, the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and the location and property is great, but I can't recommend if infants are along.

Great experience at the Pineapple Retreat

The Pineapple Retreat was a great rental for our family's stay! The owners were very response to any questions or communication I had. The listing was very accurate. It was very nice to use the provided basic strollers and wagons as well as toys, chairs and blankets to take to the beach, as we didn't have to get ours sandy. There were plenty of towels, dishware, etc. for our group and we stayed comfortably in the home. The walks to the beach and also the pool were very reasonable, and we loved the location. I would recommend this property to others.

Another awesome vacation

My family and I had another great vacation at the Pineapple Retreat! We couldn't believe it had already been 5 years since we had been there before and we don't know why we waited so long. The house is SO nice. They provide everything you might need including a wagon, stroller, booster seat, beach bag, beach blanket, movies, you name it! We enjoyed the pool a lot! The kiddie pool was great for my toddler. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. And we also enjoyed the Washington Park Zoo that is a 3 minute drive, if that. Thank you, again!

Girls Getaway

We had a girls weekend at the Pineapple Retreat and had the best time. The house is in a perfect location and so close to the beach. The community is absolutely adorable as well. We did the winery tours and were in great location to that. There was a small hiccup in checking in, but the owners were very accommodating and sincere. The owners respond quickly and will help with any recommendations. Even though we did a girls weekend, this house is perfect for families as well. The house is set up in a great way with plenty of beds to sleep. Loved the back patio area and grill! All the linens and kitchen utensils are provided. They have many spices and condiments available for use. I would recommend this to any of my friends and family. Great location, great house, great owners. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic Home and Great Location!

We spent a week at the Pineapple Retreat with our children and grandchildren and we loved the house and the surrounding area. Things we liked best: 1) The kitchen and family room open layout is very inviting, comfortable and great for conversations and fun. 2) A spacious kitchen stocked with every utensil and appliance you will ever need plus spices, condiments, and other essentials. Ideal for anyone who loves to cook and/or eat! 3) Very short walk from both the pool and Sheridan Beach (so beautiful!) 4) Few minutes’ drive from the Washington Park Zoo, the outlet malls, and great restaurants (Shoreline Brewery, Stop 50 Pizzeria, and Pickle & Turnip – yum!). We very much enjoyed our time at the Pineapple Retreat and I’ve already recommended it to family and friends. We will definitely be back!!!

What a great stay!

We stayed for a short weekend, but wish we had booked more time. The home is perfectly positioned in the Beachwalk community. Walkable within a half of block to the beach or pool. It appeared golf carts were available for rental as well if needed for $80/day. The house is set up nicely for two families sharing. There are two larger rooms with king/queen beds and then two smaller rooms with bunk beds for kids. An open concept LR kitchen with a great front porch area and back screened in porch. Nicely equipt with kitchenware. We had a great stay!

Wonderful home with All Amenities

This home is absolutely perfect for a beach vacation getaway. It is really beautiful with a great open layout on the main floor and spacious bedrooms upstairs. We had two families with 5 kids total, but could have easily had another family. Pineapple Retreat is filled with everything you could possibly need--from a sandpit for the kids to play in to beachchairs to beach coolers to games for kids and adults to a fully stocked kitchen (more dishes, cups, wine glasses, cookware, spices and condiments than you could imagine.) It is the perfect distance between the pool and the beach. We kayaked, learned to paddleboard and spent countless hours at the beach and playing in the pool. Wonderful home and wonderful vacation.

Perfect family vacation!

We stayed at the Pineapple Retreat with a few families including a few young children and everything about our stay was perfect. The house is stocked with everything you might need including cots for young children, plenty of linens, kitchen supplies/condiments, screened porch, etc. The home is beautifully decorated, clean, more spacious than the pictures make it seem and child-friendly (cushioned stairs covered with non-slip mats, minimal/no sharp edges/corners). We have stayed at a few different homes on the Beachwalk and so far this has been our favorite. We hope to be back again soon!

Our family has been coming to Beachwalk for several years, Pineapple retreat has been the absolute best experience we have had. BEAUTIFUL home and owners are SO nice and accomodating. Great Vacation!

My family and I just returned home from our vacation at The Pineapple Retreat and all we can talk about is how we wish we were still there! The house was amazing. My 4 year old niece even said it was beautiful :) There is so much fun stuff to do there. We enjoyed the basketball court and playground a few houses down and there was also a really cool playground for the kids that we found at the back of the community. We loved having the beach so close. It was only about a 5 minute walk, if that. The house had everything we needed, including basketballs, beach toys for the kids, a wagon, booster seat and so much more! I can't say enough good things about this home. My family and I will definitely be back!

A great vacation home!

We had a wonderful stay at the Pineapple Retreat. It's located in the perfect location in Beachwalk - near the pool and beach. Additionally, it's great for kids as there are plenty of bunk beds and three separate sand areas so the kids can play as you are getting dinner going. It is very well stocked with every imagineable appliance, gadget, and more. Our family particularly enjoyed the porch swing.
