Perfect Cozy Cabin. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Clean cabin, many kitchen appliances/utensils made it so easy to cook meals together and enjoy family time. Comfortable beds. Lots of games to play. Lisa, the Host is very sweet and accommodating, very communicative. I also love that this perfect hideaway is so close to Downtown Camden and many other great places to see and visit.
This VRBO was fantastic. The kitchen was better stocked than any other rental i have stayed. Everything was clean and tidy. The views are beautif. It is a quick drive to grocery, gas, walking trails, and the down town Camden area. Lisa gave us great recommendations for hikig trails, site seeing, and food! We really enjoyed our stay and woukd book again if we make our way back to Maine.
Lovely spot on a quiet pond. We very much enjoyed watching the loons, ducks, heron and turtles from the deck. Our lab loved playing in the water from the easy accessible water. Limited motor boats on the pond and a dead end road made for a quiet week. Cabin is comfortable and well equipped. Close to neighboring towns for exploring.Bonus that the cabin is so near The Place (great cinnamon buns) and Scottâs (inexpensive lobster rolls and great onion rings)! Lisa was spot on with communication. We hope to stay again!
The positives: beautiful lake views from the back porch, comfortable beds with cozy quilts, well equipped kitchenThe less than positives: no toilet paper (had to call and text owner), uncomfortable couch and chairs, inside and out, somewhat difficult unlit pathway from parking area down to cabin (bulbs burned out?) Owner unresponsive to a text re checkout sent a day before departure, dirty grill
The property was as expected. A simple, clean cabin on the water in Maine! Enjoyed a well equipped kitchen. Ample firewood for wood burning stove. Canoe and kayak were great additions to enjoy Hossmer Pond!
Less than 10 minute drive to grocery, downtown Camden or Rockport. Great central coast location with many recreation opportunities within a close radius.
We stayed for 7 days October 18-25-2025 and we absolutely loved this cottage! The fall foliage was spectacular!! We canoed out to the two islands and it was so fun. We walked the neighborhood, sat on the deck every morning with our coffee watching the sunrise which was epic! The loons calling in the morning is amazing. You are so close to Camden which is also so charming ! Lisa is the best host, she met us and made sure we had everything we needed. She also checked in with us before we left. The cabin has everything you need. We loved the wood burning stove so cozy! Do not hesitate to rent this property, Lisa truly is a great host.
The house and grounds were very private. located overlooking a quiet lake. Although neighboring houses were in reasonably close proximity, the area was very quiet. The house was well stocked and comfortable for the two of us.. Opportunity was available for both indoor and outdoor dining. Bugs were at a minimum, Shhh!.We spent time exploring Hosmer Pond each day. Only occasional other boaters were on the lake. only small motors were allowed, so the noise was at a minimum.Check out the toboggan run on the west side of the lake, as well as the MarshallPomt Lighthouse south of the immediate areas, in Port Clyde. The house is a good base for exploring the more tourist oriented activities on Route 1. Only @ 10 miles from the action made all the difference in the world. Shopping was convenient, with a Hannifords, as you turn onto Route 1 and a great organic farm stand on the road to the house..Lisa, the property manager was easy to reach and provided local information. A real find.!
We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy lakefront home. It was the perfect size for just the two of usâsmall, but comfortable and just what we needed. Everything was very clean and well-kept, and the owner was excellent with communication, making everything simple and stress-free. Our favorite part was spending time on the deck looking right out over the lake, enjoying the peaceful views and watching the three loons that hung around nearby. Such a special and relaxing spot.
The Loon was everything we could have asked for as a home away from home. It was charming, comfortable, well equipped, and the deck and dock made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you, Lisa!
The location of this cabin is ideal- you are just a few minutes drive from all the amenities Camden has to offer and you get your water view- which we found more serene than the ocean with the beautiful loons calling. This cabin has everything you need and then some! We hope to return!
We absolutely loved this place, I would recommend this place and Lisa to anybody who wants to come. Lisa (the owner) was SO nice and she stopped by to check if we were doing good and if we needed anything. The place is so clean and specially SO cozy. You are a 5 minute drive from Camden and a grocery store. We were also about 1:40 from Acadia national park. If we come back to Camden, this will be the place we stay :)
We absolutely loved our stay at Loon Cottage. Very comfortable and so peaceful, definitely did not want to leave. Loved spending time on the deck and dock, and comfy hanging out with the wood stove. Wonderful to paddle around in the canoe in the sun (even our dog liked that part!) Lisa was very responsive and we sure hooe to come again in the future.
Would stay again for sure. What a lovely spot. Felt like a true holiday. The pond was beautiful to kayak around. 10 minutes from Camden. Definitely recommend.
We had a great stay at Loon Cottage. Comfortable and cozy, and in a perfect location. Camden and Rockport are less than ten minutes away; both have excellent restaurants and shops. The lake is lovely and right off the deck. Communication with Lisa was easy and check in was a breeze.
We stayed for a week with kids and a dog. The house was perfect for our needs, well stocked and comfortable. The pond is beautiful and clean with loons calling in the morning and evening. The location canât be beat, youâre about 8 minutes from downtown Camden, but feel away from it all at the house. Looking forward to going back next year.
I've been living in Mid-coast Maine for over 25 years. I have two children who grew up here in this wonderful community. I work as a designer and artist and love to share all that I love about Maine!
The view looking out across the Pond says it all. The stillness of the water, the wildlife, the granite islands with the hills beyond...All a short distance from Camden and Rockport and the dramatic beauty of the coast. There is so much to discover!
