We really enjoyed our time at Quinta do Pomarinho. The house is very nice, good pool and the owners and agency are extreme helpful. The location is just perfect for us. Just a 15min drive to most beaches but then coming back to your own refuge in the countryside, just perfect.

Firstly the inside of the property is very spacious and clean, an unusual layout with the two very spacious bedrooms at opposite ends of the building and one large bathroom. The bedrooms have remote controlled cooling fans which proved to be very efficient too. The kitchen is very modern and clean and even included an electric juicer enabling fresh squeezed orange juice every day. Sadly the tv does not have satellite or cable so can only receive 6 Portuguese channels. We managed to connect our Ipad to mirror image onto tv via internet but could only watch you tube. Outside there is lots of space to soak up the sunshine with a good selection of fruit trees which we were invited to pick. There were Nespera (similar to plums) apricots Oranges and lemons along with other trees like almonds and pears which were not ready yet. There is a vast orchard area which consists of mainly oranges and lemons with no neighboring properties in view so very quiet at night (no barking dogs) The small pool area located at the end of the property next to the entrance with sunbeds but no umbrellas, as there is plenty of shade from the surrounding trees. A car is essential and only takes about five minutes into Tavira. We (my wife and I) had a very enjoyable 11 night stay at this property (May 2019) and would definitely return again in the future, Highly recommended.
Located on a idyllic smallholding less than 5 minutes outside Tavira the property is surrounded by orchards of orange, apple, plum and peach trees. The local agents are incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit from the grounds - squeezed orange juice every morning, together with local pastries made by Jose (the farmer and owner's wife). Even better Jose would pop in throughout our week with more fruit and cakes.
There is plenty of outside space and seating for outside meals or cooking on the brick built BBQ. The flat roof is a great place to take an early morning coffee and watch the world wake up, or to sit and watch the sunset as the kids play in the small pool.
As mentioned town is very close by, though you will need a car but it was great to return to our "country estate" at the end of the day.
Throughly recommended
