Cette maison de 6 chambres a beaucoup d'espace de vie et de rassemblement de qualité. Il y a un grand salon sur les 3 étages. Idéal pour une grande ou plusieurs familles. Le sous-sol comprend un bar, une salle de ping-pong et de fléchettes. Grande terrasse et foyer. Près de Spruce Meadows. La propriété gère très bien les grands groupes. Il est souvent loué par plusieurs familles venant en ville pour des vacances ou des mariages. Il y a beaucoup de place pour ceux qui ont besoin d'être social et ceux qui veulent la paix et la tranquillité. La propriété est une maison de ferme qui a subi une rénovation complète en 2016.

Great space for large group

We had 12 people with us, ranging from ages 12-75. There was more than enough room for all of us to have our own space but still join in the common area. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with more than enough supplies for our large group. We also had quick replies from Dan and it was an easy check-in and check-out process. Thanks for having us!

Best host ever

Dan and Tim were absolutely phenomenal they were so quick to help us out when we had any questions. They are the greatest hosts ever I cant say enough good things about them. The property is huge and had everything my group needed. Checking in and out was super easy. I would recommend this place and cannot wait to book this again in the future.

Amazing!!!

Hosted a surprise 50th birthday party for my husband this weekend! The house was clean, welcoming, spacious and the beds were so comfortable. We played ping pong, had hot tubs, enjoyed the beautiful sun on the deck, BBQ’d our steaks. It was awesome. We had such a good time, we want to make it an annual event with our friends. Dan was awesome as a host, and he really helped make our experience memorable. Thanks Dan, see you next time! Denise

Great property

Lots of room and areas for a large group. Huge deck which would be great for the summer (we went in the winter). A fire pit in the front and back. The house was clean, while a bit worn, it was comfy and suited our group wonderfully.

Could have been cleaner

It was a convenient location for a wedding at Granary Road. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate for the whole family. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcoming roses were a nice touch. However, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. The much anticipated hot tub was unusable, due to an odd smell and slime, as well as a lighter in it. One of our family members stood on an earring that was on the floor. There were stains on the carpet in one of the bedrooms as well as stains on the bedding in most of the rooms. There was wrapping paper between two beds and some of the plates in the cupboard were dirty. There were also other people's clothing left around the house.The barbeque needed a good clean. This property has the potential to be an excellent place to stay if more attention was paid to the cleaning. The $150 cleaning fee does not justify the cleanliness of the property. We were unable to contact the owner about these points at the time as we were all occupied with the family wedding.

Family get together.

This property was great. Lots of bedrooms spread out over 3 floors so little ones could nap or go to bed and the rest of us could gather without disturbing them. Kitchen was well outfitted with everything we needed to cook and house was clean. We were all able to eat together at the dining table: lots of chairs. Even though there was snow we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the sunshine in the afternoon. Would be a very fun place to stay in warmer weather. We had a wonderful relaxing time here.

Best White Christmas location

Absolutely fantastic property and location!!! An extended family of 10 travelled from Australia for a white Christmas and found this property to be like home. The three levels allowed everyone to live harmoniously together for our 17 days there. The property was extremely well-cleaned, including the hot tub, and our host, Dan, was always on hand if needed. The location was a little out of town, away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to everything we needed. We now refer to this property as our "Canadian home". We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything Dan!

House of Horrors

Furnishings are torn and well worn. Not much was as depicted in advertisement. Many heath and safety issues as well. There were holes in the deck, no railings on open stairs. A “ bedroom” in the basement had no window, illegal to classify as bedroom as well as fire hazard There was a build up of many years of dirt in windows and sliding glass doors tracks. The BBQ was so disgustingly dirty we would not want to put food on it. There was no air vents in the main floor bedroom for either heat or air conditioning. The bedding should be thrown out as it’s so worn. No pool table as advertised, the hot tub didn’t work either! I can supply photos for each of these concerns and more

Great house for week-long Ringette Camp

House was ideal for our large group. Plenty of space for 7 teenage female players with a few parents to supervise. Table tennis tournament, enjoyable fire in the evenings, and a great soak in the hot tub after days of ringette training. Bathrooms were very spacious and a great variety of sleeping options with the 6 bedrooms available. Wildlife viewing was an additional bonus. Would book again. Thanks Dan for hosting!

Beautiful Location with some Idiosyncracies

So much space in beautiful surroundings. We were a family of 10 Seniors and we enjoyed our stay. We were able to sit around the kitchen table and the deck table … plenty of deck space, although we didn’t work out where the outdoor pool table is located. BBQ brush needs replacing. Some of the bedrooms are a bit quirky and we note the comments about the room with no windows made by another reviewer. There are things that need attention, most of which could be easily managed. The microwave turntable and light didn’t work. The fridge door catch didn’t work properly. Can opener didn’t work. There are some deteriorated deck boards out front. Shower off Master bedroom has a problem with water spillage. Some of these comments may seem petty and it wouldn’t take a lot of time or expense to make improvements. Overall, everyone slept well, enjoyed the many visiting spaces and hot tub, and loved, loved the green rolling countryside, especially after rain showers.

Our little staff of 7 went on a two day work retreat. The space was perfect for eating and working!

Beautiful space. We enjoyed the ping pong, ĺoved the kitchen, walked, sat in the hot tub and enough space to be in smaller groups for discussions after our guest speaker. We will go back for sure!

Good property with some safety issues.

My only real complaint is that we discovered on the last night of our stay that there was only one smoke detector in the entire house and it was on the top floor. One of the listed bedrooms has no window, which in Alberta, where the property is, is not a legal bedroom. I wasn't really concerned about it until I found that there was no smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector on that floor. I messaged the host about the smoke detectors and my other overall feedback when I got home, but there was no reply. Personally, I think it is misleading to categorize a room with a bed as a bedroom if there is no window or door for privacy, etc. and not enough smoke detectors is a big deal. There was also a mouse in the wall of my bedroom that my spouse and I could hear scratching around in a vent all night the first two nights which was unnerving and made it really difficult to sleep. I accept that rural properties can come with mice, but there was no way for us as guests to deal with it and when I let the host know, they said that they would put traps up later, but made no move to do that while we were there. Luckily after that the mouse either died or found somewhere else to live. There is a safety issue with the stairs with lack of railings which would be an issue for people with mobility issues, but with three floors it wouldn't be a great layout for people with mobility issues anyway. The hot tub was not clean but the property manager came right away to help us with that. The layout of the property is great for three families of four and the location is very peaceful and there are four full bathrooms which is great. Future guests should be aware that they need to bring even basics for cooking ingredients to the house (like salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc.) though it's only about 15-20 minutes to a grocery store from the property.

Wonderful place for our Family Gathering

Perfect location and house for our families. We had a wonderful time with cooking, shared meals and stories, and lots of playing games, inside and outside. The area has beautiful farm houses, big fields and is close enough to visit Calgary. Thank you Dan for hosting us.
