C'est vraiment un endroit spécial! L'allée pavée vous mène à un parking spacieux pour 4 voitures (ou plus). A quelques pas de là se trouve notre belle maison de 3 chambres avec 2600 pieds carrés d’espace de vie.

Le niveau principal et le niveau inférieur ont chacun une grande terrasse pour vous divertir et profiter de la vue imprenable sur le lac Michigan.

Ensuite, 60 marches plus bas (à partir du pont inférieur), il y a un autre pont qui surplombe votre propre plage privée de 90 pieds!

Nous nous engageons à faire de votre séjour de vacances le meilleur possible. Nous limitons la location à une famille (8 personnes maximum). S'il vous plaît, pas d'animaux et non fumeur.

Nous préférons louer pour une semaine entière (samedi au samedi). Nous envisagerons des séjours plus courts (3 nuits minimum) pendant les heures creuses (mai, début juin, septembre et octobre). Contactez les propriétaires pour discuter des tarifs.

Vous devrez apporter vos propres draps (total = 3 lits queen et 2 lits jumeaux.) Et vos serviettes de cuisine / de bain.

Great stay!

As always had a wonderful week at the house. Very clean with a lot of amenities and activities within a close drive. Beautiful views and a wonderful beach. Will definitely be back next year!

Great relaxing week in an ideal setting. Perfect location, property was immaculate and had everything we needed. Loved s'mores on the beach, and daily walks up and down the beach.

Lake house with great location and views!

The house was perfect for our family vacation including for our toddler. The steps are pretty steep but the climb down is worth it. The private beach feels like you’re on the ocean and you’re super close to town for food and adventures! I highly recommend this property!

Just spent our second July 4th week here in a row and love this property and location. Perfect location on the beach, yet quiet and private, with loads of space and modern amenities. We loved it again. Thanks!

Great family beach week!

Wonderful Lake Michigan beach week! This was our second year staying for a week at this property. It was just as we remembered it, clean, well-equipped with great beach access. The location is great, near Pentwater, Ludington as well as close to Silver lake attractions. The property owner was very quick and responsive to any communications. Thanks for sharing your wonderful property with our family. We hope to come back again sometime!

2nd Stay at Dan's Lake House

The kids had so much fun at Dan's lake house last year that they demanded a return trip. It was just as pretty as we remembered -- the property was in great shape and the host couldn't have been more accommodating. We may well be back again next year if Dan will have us!

Beautiful place!

This was absolutely perfect! A beautiful property! Amazing lake views and access. The hosts are great to work with. Easy access to activities, groceries, etc. The home is spacious and well- equipped. The deck is outstanding. We had such a great time!

Perfection!

Perfect combination of being right on beautiful Lake Michigan and having a huge front yard for kiddo playing. Home has everything needed, sharp knives, pots and pans, coffee maker, Keurig, and on and on with quality kitchen / dining needs. Kitchen, dining and living room all face Lake Michigan. The beach is wide and clean with an 1800’s boat wreck under water off shore. Beds are comfortable with large bedrooms. 3 Bathrooms keep everyone happy. Close to Pentwater and Silver Lake attractions and restaurants. I’ve often thought this place would make a great Fall getaway. We loved it! Our 5th year.

Family week away at the lake

My family of four (and Grandma for a few days) loved every minute of our stay in Mears MI. What a perfect location at the beach, and very well maintained. Easy to feel hidden away with a private chunk of beach, but not far from attractions (hello Silver Scoops...). We appreciated the little details like the hose at the bottom of the steps, and having all the creature comforts of home while away at the lake. We booked our next stay here only a few days into the week, that's how sure we were of our enjoyment. 100% Recommend!

Wonderful family beach vacation

Our stay at Dan and Jan's beach house was wonderful! The house was extremely neat and clean upon arrival. So many small touches to make our stay comfortable. Loved the puzzles and chess/checkers set. Drawer of kids dishes, cups and utensils were very helpful. The kids basically lived in the waves all week, amazing to have a private beach. Great views of the lake and sunsets from the large porch. A great location near Hart, Mears, Silver Lake and Pentwater. Thanks for a great week!

Best Ever!

This is our fourth year at the lake house. We are just home a week and missing it already. What makes it so wonderful? The cottage is situated with a full view of Lake Michigan from the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The deck brings you even closer to beautiful sunsets. I do not know how the owners manage to keep it consistently kept up and clean each year. The cottage comes with everything you might need, including a coffee grinder! Pots, pans, knives, coffee maker, dishwasher and kitchen ware are all in excellent shape and condition. You can’t get much closer to Lake Michigan then this beautiful place. This year and last were the added attractions of a shipwreck from the 1800s right near the beach. Our grandchildren were fascinated, as were we. The front lawn is great for young kids to run off whatever excess energy they have at the end of the day. There is a fire pit near the front lawn as well as one down by the beach. The beds are all very comfortable and we love hearing the surf in the evening. This cottage is updated with new improvements yearly. It would be hard to find a better place on Lake Michigan!

100% Serviceable

It should be noted my partner thought this should be a four star place, my mom thought two. We are splitting the difference. The location is great, right on Lake Michigan, super close to Silver Lake and the dunes. We had a great time in the area. And truly everything outside the house was great including the property. The inside and the actual house is totally dependent on your perspective. If you're used to camping and into bringing your own sheets and towels places, you'll love this place. If you're used to paying more than four hundred a night for other places on Lake Michigan than you're likely to find this place over priced or disappointing. The house is totally serviceable and I'm happy to see they've amended the listing to say you need to bring your own towels and sheets. That was not clear to us when we booked and was a bit offputting. The house was clean and everything generally worked except for the few things that said don't use. Perhaps this means we're getting spoiled by VRBO but the place lacked so many of the lovely things we find in other places and the thoughtful touches that go along way in vacation homes.

Great house and great location

We had a wonderful week! The house was very clean and we appreciated the good communication with the owner. The upper level had an nice open concept with kitchen, large table for meals and couches with tv. The large sliding doors along the entire back were great for experiencing Michigan's lovely summer weather and seeing the lake since they also had screen doors. The master bedroom had the same beautiful view and a nice skylight in the bathroom. The lower level had a good hang out space for kids with another table and chairs and tv along with extra bedrooms, laundry area, an extra fridge and a bathroom. My husband loved the Weber grill and having a picnic table on the back deck. The neighbors on one side are very close but there is a privacy fence. Our favorite place was the fire ring on the beautiful beach at the bottom of the stairs. There were also chairs down there. The stairs are steep but there are places to stop and sit if your knees or lungs can't handle the climb back up without breaks. The lights on the stairs were nice to have at night. There is a fire ring in the front yard also if you don't want to go down the stairs to the beach. We also appreciated having things such as hand soap, a roll of paper towels, a box of Kleenex and toilet paper upon arrival! Some of the places we have stayed in the past didn't have these and it was a hassle on day 1 if you hadn't gone to a store yet. We don't have any complaints!

The perfect family getaway

We love Dan and Jan’s property! This is our 5th year staying here and we’ve never been let down. Lots of beach to enjoy down by the lake. My mom and I love going for long walks and our kids enjoy splashing in the lake and playing with the sand. This property is close to Pentwater, Ludington, and Silverlake. We love visiting Pentwater and shopping/getting coffee in the morning/ice cream at night. We brought our own personal boat this year and boated Silverlake - that was super fun. We stopped by Mac Woods Dune Rides and our kids loved that. Lewis Farms is another great spot to visit for the whole family. We can’t wait to return next year. Thanks, Dan and Jan!

Summer Fun

The description of the property and amenities were spot on. Any questions we had the owner responded right away. The view of the lake at sunset was spectacular. Water was crystal clear. You could see the bottom 20’ out. Wonderful swimming, great beach.

A week at Lake Michigan

We had a great week at the Lake. The property looks just how it does in the pictures -- our kids had a lot of fun playing at the beach. They also really enjoyed a day at Michigan's Adventure, which is about a 30-minute drive from the house. A storm knocked out the internet during our stay and Dan drove out that night to replace the modem and router for us, which was extremely kind of him and well above and beyond what we might have expected. Dan is a very thoughtful host / property manager -- we'd highly recommend this property to others.

The house is roomy and well-equipped, and the owners take very good care of it. Location is perfect and the beach was great for both children and adults. The weather cooperated and we had a wonderful week.

The Perfect Beach House!

We had a great time at this beach house. The house has a great, spacious layout for families with several bedrooms on the lower-level and a master on the main floor. The house had everything you could need for your stay and the owners were helpful and responsive. The private beach was perfect for our young kids, ages 2 and 3, and the stairs leading down to the beach were doable, even for my aging parents, as the staircase has benches to rest about every 15 stairs or so. Mears was a perfect location with local attractions and shopping nearby. We would love to go back and would definitely rent this house again!

Family Vacay 2021

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home was perfect for our family! Located within minutes of many activities, eateries and stores. Everything in the home was exactly as stated and had the comforts of our own home. The lake view and private beach was so beautiful and relaxing!!
