Tinner's Cottage, Nr. Sainte-Agnès, Cornwall

Tinner's Cottage est situé dans le vaste parc d'une maison de moteur de la mine d'étain de Cornouailles, qui remonte aux années 1850. Le chalet est grand et spacieux et peut accueillir jusqu'à 6 personnes plus un bébé dans un lit bébé très confortablement.

Au premier étage, la propriété dispose de 2 grandes chambres. La chambre 1 a un lit king-size et la chambre 2 a 2 lits simples. Il y a aussi une salle de bain avec baignoire et une cabine de douche séparée, à cet étage.

Le rez-de-chaussée a un salon ouvert, une cuisine, une salle à manger. Également à cet étage est la 3ème chambre avec lit double et salle de bains.

Nous fournissons gratuitement une chaise haute et un lit bébé avec matelas (nous ne fournissons pas de linge pour le lit)

Le chalet a Wifi, TV, four électrique & plaque de cuisson, lave-vaisselle, réfrigérateur, micro-ondes et est très bien équipé.

Il y a aussi une buanderie avec lave-linge, sèche-linge, planche et fer à repasser.

L'électricité, le chauffage et le linge de lit sont inclus dans le tarif.

Un patio avec table et chaises est à l'avant du chalet, avec une pelouse et sur le côté de la propriété il y a un grand terrain en haut, où des jeux de balle, etc. peuvent être joués.

Il y a un grand parking pour 2 + voitures.

Une maison publique, une boulangerie, un magasin de ferme sont situés dans le village.

Le bureau de poste le plus proche est à Mount Ambrose.

Les supermarchés sont Tesco & Aldi chez Redruth, Tesco Extra chez Pool et Sainsbury's chez Truro.

Excellent. Clean and comfortable. Well situated for beaches and shops.Good arrangements for check in and laundry facilities and pleasant expanse of garden. Would have appreciated some low lighting inside, and some more comfortable seating outside.

Lovely cottage, peaceful and good location for exploring

Had a great stay, nice and peaceful, spacious cottage with all the facilities you could need.....only half and hour drive to most places I wanted to see, and less than 10 mins to the beach at porthtowan...bakery down the street was also amazing....

A comfortable and enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our visit to the cottage. It was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen equipment, good beds and shower facilities. The one small issue we had was the lack of outside area where our dog could roam free. The hosts were very helpful and accessible by email or phone.

Thank you for your review. Many guests appreciate the vast garden of half an acre, especially our top field for ball games etc. Due to the nature of the terrain and the property nestling in the grounds of a Grade 2 listed Tin Mine Engine House, fenced in areas are not an option to let dogs roam, although the site is surrounded by a natural hedge and a Cornish dry stone wall. The Mineral Tramways trail from Devoran on one coast to Portreath on the other, is a walking/cycle trail and is easily accessed within a few minutes walk from the cottage, where dogs can be excercised.

Thinners Cottage

Property was impeccably clean and thoughtfully laid out. Location was impressive with engine house opposite a delight especially lit up at night. Will be returning in the future.

Stunning views

Lovely cottage with great sized rooms. We had a lovely stay and the views were amazing. The cottage was central to many places and there were supermarkets very close by. We went for a meal at the Inn for all seasons which was nearby - truly amazing food. The carvery was outstanding so well worth a visit! We had an issue with the WiFi but June responded straight away and it was sorted.

Tinners Cottage: One of Cornwall’s hidden secrets. From making our decision to choose Tinners Cottage the system worked well. Both through Vrbo and personal communications with Steve & June. We wanted somewhere to spend Christmas with our son and his children. We wanted space to play board games etc and enjoy a family meal on Christmas day. So this 6 bed cottage was just what we needed. We were not disappointed. From the start of our week the presence of the Wheal Rose Engine House being so close (illuminated at night) and the views across the valley provided a fabulous atmosphere to this rustic cottage. There is ample car parking and grass areas for the children to let off steam and although dogs need to be on a lead when outside the property there is a great dog walk only 100 metres away along a disused tram way path. This very comfortable property is fully fitted with good quality equipment and utilities. I would however have liked some side lighting downstairs. Perhaps not the place you would think of staying, but take it from us, do not be put off by the location as it is very close to the A30 with easy access to places like Newquay to the north and all the beaches in the south. Would we come back? Yes definitely.

Holiday with granddaughters

Exactly as featured on website in quiet, safe surroundings only 10minutes from a beach and with easy access to A30 for visiting a couple of attraction in Cornwall. . A minor downside was to be expected in an old cottage, but the creaky floors unsettled our granddaughters when trying to get to sleep at night. This would not stop us coming back in the future. Thanks for arranging beautiful weather for our week!

Easter at Tinner's Cottage

Just spent a lovely week at Tinner's Cottage. Location is just outside Redruth, easy access to Porthtowan Beach as well as many others. Situated 5 min walk to the Mineral Tramway which was perfect for cycling or off lead dog walking (although it does cross a road now and again). Cycled along the track to Portreath Beach in less than an hour. Local Farm Shop (Ehterington's) and Prima Bakery were excellent. The beds were really comfy and the bathrooms felt fairly new and very clean. The main engine house is privately owned. There are 2 adjoining holiday cottages with a shared outdoor space. Each cottage has it's own table and chairs. The garden is not entirely enclosed, so dogs need to be supervised, but this was not an issue for us. We were the only people staying and dog only went out with us on lead anyway. The large garage with washing machines and somewhere to put the bikes was really useful. Although I booked through Vrbo, communication with the owners was excellent - always on the end of a phone. We will be back. I've stayed in several places in the area and this is one of our favourites.

Great location, practical family accommodation

The property has everything a family requires. It is practically furnished , plenty of space in the two upstairs bedrooms, good wardrobe and drawer space in bedrooms . The kitchen is well equipped with a very good range of utensils and pans etc. The fridge in the kitchen is small to fit under the units but there is a fridge and freezer in the garage that is useful for families who are self catering . There are two bathrooms with very good showers and plentiful hot water. I would imagine it’s very cosy in winter and was quite cool in the heat we had last week . The owners were very quick to respond to any email . The caretaker was friendly and helpful on recommendations for eating . The cottage was perfectly positioned to access any beaches with a very short journey to the A30. Porthtowan was lovely with a stunning walk at low tide to Chapel Porth. We were lucky with very hot weather and the clear, clean blue sea and white sand we could have been in the Caribbean !

A Lovely quaint cottage within quiet location

Great place to stay from which to explore Cornwall

Great sized property with plenty of space (particularly outside) with lovely unique features in a lovely quiet location but with access to lots of local amenities and main roads to access the wider area. The place was spotless when we checked in - really clean and tidy with everything we needed to make a self catering holiday work. We were really impressed and will stay here again when next holidaying in Cornwall.

We are situated on the North Coast but Falmouth on the South coast is only 11 miles away, so you are spoilt for choice of beaches and scenery. Whether you prefer the ruggedness of the North coast or the more tranquil hills and beaches of the South coast, both are within easy reach of Tinner's Cottage.
