Accommodation was lovely and well equipped. Very peaceful! Plenty of space for all the family. Welcome pack a lovely touch. Enclosed garden for the dog and children. Comfortable beds, with more than enough facilities to accommodate us. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks.
Comfortable and nicely decorated cottage. Good location for visiting local towns, countryside and tourist attractions. Able to take dogs for a walk straight from the cotttage.
To put it simply mullion cottage is the nicest cottage we've stayed in. Gary is an excellent host and looked after everything we needed; from the travel cot for our little one to the fridge full of goodies to get us started with breakfast on the first day, he had it all covered.
Mullion Cottage was perfect - spacious, clean and well equipped, very close to the A1 and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Gary was an amazing host and the welcome pack was so generous. We will return!
Would definitely recommend this property.
Also the owners Gary & Jackie are extremely nice people who go out of they're way to help..
Nothing is too much trouble to them.
The property is without doubt 5â
Fantastic property. Gary the owner couldnât do enough for us and the welcome package was way beyond anything we have received before, anywhere!
The area is close to a lot lovely areas of Yorkshire that we visited in our weeks stay.
The cottage is delightful and perfect for two couples and a teenager. There was plenty of space, enough bathrooms, comfortable beds and a bit of garden to enjoy.
We enjoyed dinner a couple of evenings at the local pub and found so much to do that we all enjoyed.
A first but not last visit!
We had a wonderful stay at Mullion Cottage! The cottage and itâs beautiful country views provides every home comfort and gave us a very enjoyable stay. Gary couldnât have been more helpful and provided the best welcome pack weâve ever had in a rented property - thank you!! The area was central for both the Dales and North Yorkshire and we particularly liked Bedale and the surrounding area. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend the cottage.
Fantastic cottage, in wonderful location. Gary couldnât have been more helpful - was a lovely surprise to arrive to a hamper and fridge of goodies on arrival. Cottage is in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire and we had a great few days exploring the local area in the spring sunshine. Cottage was really well equipped with everything we could have needed and the kids were delighted with the toys and books left out for them. Hope to return in the not too distant future!
We had a wonderful stay the property is great, everything we had hoped for and the welcome basket is a lovely touch.
A great location for walking or getting easily on to the A1
The local pub is a 2 minute walk, dog friendly and serves good food.
Lovely house, nicely presented and spotlessly clean. Owner was very helpful and there was a great welcome pack on arrival.
There's so much to see and do in the area. We did a couple of great walks plus I also recommend Wensleydale Creamery, The Herriot museum, Betty's Tea Rooms, Masham Breweries, How Stean Gorge and the amazing Puzzle Corner.
Fantastic property, arrived in the evening, fridge was filled with breakfast goodies, generous touch.
Gary was very hospitable. Beautiful area, plenty to do and places to visit would definitely stay again
Thank you
We enjoyed a wonderful few days at Mullion cottage, what an absolute retreat! The cottage is so well equipped, tastefully decorated and in a great location for exploring the Dales. The set up was perfect for us as we could put our 8 month old in her own room and we were right next door and had use of the family bathroom. My parents had the master room which is separated from the other two bedrooms and has an ensuite, so we all had our own private space and didn't disturb eachother, ideal!
We had very mixed weather during our visit but were lucky enough to have some lovely evening sun in the garden and even managed a bbq. On the day when it rained endlessly (there is always one isn't there!) we enjoyed a fabulous meal at the local pub, which is only a short walk away and has the friendliest staff who were extremely accomodating.
Gary the host has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable, providing wood for the wood burning stoves and a fridge full of delicious provisions for your first mornings breakfast, a lovely touch which was really appreciated!
All in all one of the nicest places we've stayed and highly recommended for a quiet retreat. Thanks Gary, we will be back!
Me and my wife and 2 labradors had a fantastic few days in Mullion Cottage....fabulous welcome pack on arrival met Gary the owner on first night who gave us great advice of places to go n dog walks ect...really nice fella
Cottage was SUPERB!!!
Very friendly people in village
Local pub was lovely
Everything about it was 5 star in my opinion
Luxury from top to bottom and didn't want for anything
Can't wait to go back
Cheers Gary đđ
We loved our time at Mullion Cottage. It was such a comfortable place to stay and we felt very at home there. Gary even went to the trouble of popping a stair gate in for our toddler.
Amazing arrival pack of goodies, we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
Thank you & we can certainly recommend it!
The cottage was very comfortable, well equipped, the owner had left an array of goodies for our arrival, as there is no shop in the village it was very welcome. There is a very good pub just up the road which serves very good food. Certainly a place we would return to.
We loved Mullion Cottage. It was sympathetically refurbished, very stylish and well equipped. It had everything we needed, from a place to store our bikes and to watch birds in the garden, to a range cooker, scales and a food blender for cooking up a roast dinner. We didnât need the log fire in September but it was ready for us, just in case.
The local pub is recommended, and within a few miles are attractive villages, country walks, country houses, quiet cycling roads, and plenty more things to do. Newby Hall was a hidden gem, and another was the farm round the corner with hundreds of grazing deer.
Thanks for a great stay Gary.
Fabulous cottage in a lovely location.
Very high spec as seen on the website.
Lovely surprise when we opened the fridge, so much food and drink to start our holiday. This was above and beyond anywhere we have stayed in the past. Thank you Gary
Very helpful Gary, wonderful house perfect for short or long stays - fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathrooms, excellent bedlinen - all a few steps away from a lovely pub! I look forward to going back hopefully very soon.
Mullion cottage is absolutely stunning and has everything you need home from home.
The owners are very accommodating leaving lots of nice goodies for breakfast and the wine and beers were much appreciated after a long journey from London. The house has board games, dvds, and s smart tv. The dog bed was well used by our dog Ozzy which he loved, so I have ordered him the same. The Yorkshire dales and moors are not to far away to enjoy lovely walks and a trip into York was achieved too. The greyhound pub2 min walk away does lovely food and on Thursdays they do 2 rib eye steaks and a bottle of merlot for ÂŁ30 a bargain!
A beautiful stone cottage, in an iydyllic setting, fully renovated with all mod cons. Location for discovering the Yorkshire Dales was perfect, but also plenty to do if you want to remain local, some beautiful dog walks. Locals very friendly and helpful.
Gary and Jackie moved into the village in 2004. Archie came along a couple of years later!! Gary, originally a southerner has done his best to convert to all things 'northern', but he still can't get used to the amount of 'head' served on his beer!!
Gary used to cut the grass at an allotment at the top of the village. One day, the owner of Mullion Cottage was sitting on a chair on the front step simply admiring the view. A conversation with 'this stranger' was started. Gary made himself a promise that if ever the property 'came on the market' he would make every attempt to purchase the property. Anyway, to cut a long story short, it did, so he did!!
First and foremost, the cottage has a prominent position within the village and the enjoys wonderful views across the fields. Depending upon the time of year there are scores of little lambs to be seen jumping about. Aside from the A1, (which is currently being upgraded) there is no such thing as traffic up here. Gridlock is when the car in front decides to turn right!!
