This wonderful cottage was perfect for my three day retreat. The weather was cold, wet and windy but after a days walking and exploring the coast path, it was a treat to return to this cosy sanctuary tucked into the hillside in a beautiful garden. The cottage had everything I needed to make this a perfect stay. Thank you.
Beautiful cottage ideal setting for walks and coastal visits. Christina is very welcoming and her gardens are wonderful. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
We had a very relaxing time staying here. It has everything you need for a lovely break including no television! The gardens are beautiful and so peaceful to stroll round at any time of day. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and very happy to help.
Christina's cottage is a small but wonderfully cosy place nested in some of the most stunning gardens you will ever see. Christina was extremely welcoming and hospitable.
We loved staying here - is ideal for couples, and is perfectly located a stones throw from fishguard and newport and the best of rural pembrokeshire
This is our second stay at this quaint cottage in the amazing gardens.
One can only describe it as a place of beauty, tranquility and peace.
Garden surprises you every day, views are stunning and hosts are lovely.
Would come back any time
Ideal for location for gardeners and plant lovers with over 6 acres to explore. The cottage is big enough for two, the hosts are friendly and itâs well located for all of North Pembs. We visited Cardigan and St Davids and most places in between without wasting too much travelling time. We both enjoyed our stay, as did our dog!
Beautiful quaint little property. A welcome change from the general pace of life. We spent a fantastic week in this beautiful cottage, Christina who owns the property was the perfect host. There was plenty of room for our dog to run around in the outside and even though it was November it was clear that the gardens were amazing. We hope to go back again soon when the weather is better.Thank you Christina for making us so welcome we really appreciate it.
We had a lovely few days away in this quaint little cottage, listening to the birds and overlooking the spectacular garden. We had some inclement weather, so didnât get get outside quite as much as we would have liked, but the wood burner made the cottage so warm and cosy it was a pleasure staying in.
This wonderful place wraps its arms around you ⊠restful, soothing and at the same time inspiring. It is amazing how Christina and David have extended their love and care for the environment into their care for the people who visit. So many magical surprises ⊠the Welsh Harp recital in the garden, visits into the cottage by robin and pygmy shrew and a course, the garden library. A perfect place to put cares and griefs aside and reconnect nature.
Christina and Richard's cottage is in one word, idyllic. Waking each morning to get wood and kindling from the shed to start a fire. Walking through the gardens that surround you. A very simple, peaceful, entirely pleasurable stay with nothing but the sounds of nature around. And anytime I needed help all I had to do was walk across the drive to their place. Very warm, friendly folks. If you want to stay someplace that doesn't have any frills, but has all of the charm and peace you could ever want, this is the place for you.
Thank you so much for the most peaceful and perfect stay in your beautiful cottage.
Christina and David were perfect hosts and I cannot thank them enough for the help they gave us when a storm hit and we were unable to travel home.
The cottage is warm, comfortable and most of all provides a tranquil and welcoming atmosphere.
Their local knowledge is also amazing. Perfect hosts in the most perfect setting. Thank you.
I found this little place by accident and am so thankful l did. Cosy, very comfortable, full of interest, beautifully equipped and spotlessly clean, the delightful host Christina has thought of everything. The location feels remote and isolated, living in a garden for a week has been such a pleasure, even in winter. I wouldn't change a thing.
Absolutely gorgeous garden, beautiful cottage with cosy atmosphere and very artistically done. Amazing location, absolute silence in the evening, birds singing in the morning. It's a perfect escape from the horrors of modern world. it's a place where i would love to live forever.
It is set within beautiful gardens and is very cosy with the fire. A little bit on the small side and as it is an older building it does suffer from damp. We have experienced better welcomes to a property. Bring your own supply of kitchen items, as their coffee and herbs are years out of date.
You definitely need a car to get about and it is more than a mile from the sea but there are some nice spots if you drive to them. It was a pleasant break.
My husband and I enjoyed a very relaxing, "away from it all" break at this warm, cosy, quiet, quaint cottage. It is certainly a unique property, within a beautiful garden.
'The Little Cottage' is a beautiful and peaceful haven to explore the surrounding area, beginning with the wonderful garden the cottage is set in. Christina's garden is a labour of love and a joy to walk through and around. We got so many ideas for our lown ittle garden back home. And the library is a surprising treat!!
We loved exploring this part of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion - the numerous walks are memorable - discovering the ancient oak wood of Ty-Canol, the bay and beach of Mwnt, a hidden treasure for swimming and dolphin spotting. I loved the cliff top walk back towards Dyffrin Fernant from Fishguard which has an intriguing place in military and cinematic history. The drive and walk to Llanachaer and Cwm Gwaun is a magical alternative to the drive to Newport and the north beach where we parked our car for free at low tide! Legal, too! Then there was the area's exceptional food and drink - locally caught and landed fish from Cardigan Bay at Dinas Cross, local lamb from Cardigan, amazing new cheeses - try Celtic Promise, local unpasturised washed rind, semi-soft. The cafes and restaurants all along the coast sold lovely fresh food and drink - and the people were so friendly. At the end of each quiet or busy day, come rain or shine, we felt blessed to be able to rest, prepare dinner, make up a wood fire, and slow down to a warm flickering flame of night time in the very large, very comfy mezzanine bed. Zzzzzzzzz
The property could not have been in more of an idyllic setting, a beautifully kept garden. The owners were lovely and all to happy to help us if we needed anything.
The property itself was amazing with a fantastic log burner and spacious bed it really was all we could have wanted.
The property itself is actually situated slap bang in the middle of some fantastic walks as well, the whole area is just fantastic.
What a little gem! We loved our stay in the cottage at Dyffryn Fernant. A well equipped cottage with lovely wood burner to keep us cosy and set in a beautiful garden - perfect for a glass of wine in the evening, taking in the views across the valley. Stunning coastal walks nearby and trips to the beach (lots of info in the cottage about where to go and what to do). Pembrokeshire is heavenly and the cottage is the perfect base for exploring. Christina and David were welcoming to us and our dog and available if we needed help with anything. Thank you - we would stay again!
