Compact annex adjoining helpful and friendly owners property in a quiet private road. Clean and well equipped, with small, pretty, enclosed garden. Private parking. Great location for west Wight with Freshwater Bay and coast paths a ten minute walk away.
The stay was wonderful. Barney is very kindley. The house is perfect for activity of the isle. We had no car rented and it was easy to take the bus alltime.
It was in a lovely setting the bay a short stroll away, perfect spot to get to any place on the Island, Needles and Alum Bay a short bus ride ( better than taking your car!) Host was very good at suggesting places to go. Fort Victoria a must, again close by.
A lovely holiday with fantastic hosts.
Very comfortable and well equipped. An ideal base for exploring West Wight. Quiet location and lovely private garden. This property comes highly recommended. We will definitely be returning.

Great apartment
A lovely place to stay with own garden. Great if you have a dog. Lots of walks on the doorstep and a cycle path to Wroxley and beyond. Comfortable bed and modern decor.
The Studio was bigger than we expected and provided all we needed. The garden was ideal for dogs as it was safe and secluded and very relaxing. Island is very dog friendly as were the people we met. It was like stepping back 20 or so years with a much slower pace and was truly a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We would highly recommend the Studio as a base.
Compact, bijou apartment for active âget-out-&-see-everythingâ couple.
Wonderful scenery everywhere on the Island both when walking & from the excellent Island buses.
Every evening we sat at Freshwater Bay in blissful calm watching the sun setting with a large glass of wine from the Albion Hotel
It is dog walking heaven, many walks direct from the apartment, to the bay, to The Needles, walks up the river Yar to Yarmouth and back down the other side. Apartment ideal for two and dogs, with enclosed safe garden. Lovely host who left us to it which was ideal but guided us to walks and fishing spots.
This apartment/bungalow was perfect for my husband and I, just what we had been looking for. It was good to meet Barney and Chris, they were very welcoming and then left us to get on with doing nothing for a week! Great spot for walking or going off in the car. Will definitely return.
Very clean and comfortable and not overlooked in any way.
Very clean; very comfortable accommodation with an enclosed garden to ensure the security of our dog. The apartment contained all we needed for a pleasant stay. There was easy access to several walks which meant we did not have to use the car every day. There were also a couple of pubs (The Red Lion and The Vine) which served good food and were within easy walking distance. A very enjoyable stay.
A lovely stay for all our family including the dog
Perfect base to explore the Isle of Wight. Short walk to a lovely beach and access to glorious cliff walks overlooking the sea. The main reason, initially we chose this property was because of the secure garden, but we were delighted by the apartment itself too. It was tastefully decorated, roomy with lots of little extras supplied that made it feel like home from home. Thanks to our Barney and his wife for a great stay, and lots of tips to enjoy the island.
The property lived up to its description, it was clean, well maintained (even provided a new tele whilst we were there!), and well laid out. The owner was hospitable and helpful with advice etc. There was plenty to do nearby - good walks and the sea is accessible. The Red Lion was a walkable pub for a reasonable meal.

I have lived on the Island for 40 years - never too far from Freshwater Bay. I have always enjoyed the outdoor life. In the summer we swim, kayak and fish for mackerel, the spring and autumn can be great for surfing - the Bay is one of the Island's best surf breaks - and in winter the storms can be spectacular.
With one coast facing the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean and the other facing the Solent and the mainland the West Wight has a very different atmosphere to the busier eastern side of the Island. Local landmarks include Freshwater Bay, The Needles, Tennyson Down, Fort Victoria, Alum Bay Cliffs and Yarmouth Castle but there are other places like Newtown Creek - an unspoilt haven for wildlife, Hannover Point with it's dinosaur footprints on the rocks, the ancient standing stones at Mottistone and Hulverstone and beaches ranging from safe and sandy to wild and rocky!
