Such a charming cottage in a beautiful area . Caroline was such a great host . She made us feel very welcome
We really enjoyed our time there . Definitely recommend a stay here !
Good communication from the host.
A comfortable cottage which was an ideal base for getting out and about.
A very nice large garden which can be used to eat or sit in.
I agree with someone else that some better lighting in the lounge would have made it perfect.
The cottage at Greenhurst was spotlessly clean and the owners left us both milk and a cake - most appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need for cooking and the bed was vey comfy. We felt that the sitting room might benefit from some brighter light bulbs as it was difficult to read in there, but otherwise everything was fine. The location was ideal for exploring that part of the county.
Had a wonderful time staying at this property. Spotlessly clean, very well appointed and all round a lovely cottage in a prime location. Close to amazing countryside drives/scenery in Sussex, and many lovely little towns and villages, yet also very close to Gatwick; an ideal spot to "end up" at the end of a trip. Check in was a breeze, and Caroline left us a delicious welcoming cake. All said and done, would love to return with my wife for an extended stay. Top drawer!!
My husband and two daughters (almost 3, and 1.5 years) enjoyed our stay so much. The cottage is on a beautiful property and we loved running barefoot in the lush grass and feeding the bunny and fish. There are perfect sitting areas to read, eat and relax. We also loved the DVD selection and had a nice movie night. The location is perfect to visit nearby wineries, to take long walks, and to enjoy neighbouring towns. The hosts are lovely. We look forward to returning!
Stayed with our toddler. Caroline and family were excellent hosts. The cottage was lovely and quiet. We had access to the full garden, including meeting fish in the pond and their resident bunny. The hosts were also knowledgeable on the local area and despite us thinking we had planned our trip their insight was invaluable. Very comfortable cottage. Would highly recommend.
The cottage formed an excellent base from which to explore the many attractions of West Sussex. It was convenient for shopping for food in Storrington a mile and a half away. Although the lane itâs on was quite busy at times, the cottage was quiet and secluded. There is a large and pleasant garden for sitting if you choose to, and itâs always great to have your own parking space at a holiday cottage.
The two bedrooms are both a good size and comfortably furnished. The kitchen was well equipped with most things you could need. The shower cubicle is small and would benefit from a grab rail. The living room is very small and whilst the sofa was fine, we didnât find the two chairs very comfortable. It was also too dark to read on an evening because the lighting is subdued. We really enjoyed the area because there was a lot to see without travelling huge distances and had a great week.
Warm comfortable functional cottage, welcoming hosts, children enjoyed watching the fish in the pond and saying hello to the rabbit in the garden. Easy drive to Brighton and Worthing from here. Great countryside and walks all nearby.
We had a lovely weekend staying at Carolineâs cottage. It is warm, cosy and comfortable. Kitchen very well equipped and beds very comfy. Itâs in a quiet location but easy access to visit surrounding towns and National Trust properties which we enjoy doing. Thanks for the little extra touches. Hope to see you again in the future.
Lovely English cottage. Cozy and quaint. Provided lovely space for 3 adults (one couple and a senior) on this trip with privacy for all. Equipped with everything needed. Great location.
We couldn't believe our luck when we finally moved into Greenhurst early in 2013. The house and cottage had been empty for several years, and we spent our first year working to restore the cottage to its former glory. As a family, we have spent the past ten years staying in various holiday cottages around Britain, and have been very lucky with the places we have stayed. We have been determined to present the cottage to a standard that we would be delighted to stay in ourselves.
We fell in love with this area of Sussex 15 years ago, when we moved here from Kent. The house and cottage came as a package, and were irresistible, packed with character and charm.
The location is a ideal for us, offering the peace and quiet we wanted from a rural location, but with all the amenities we need to make life easy nearby.
With beautiful surrounding countryside providing a peaceful retreat, we enjoy walking over the nearby fields to the pub for Sunday lunch, or cycling up the Downs.
The garden was previously opened to the public by the previous owners, and contains a wide variety of unusual plants that keep us busy through the year (though to be honest, mum's been here most weekends working on the garden for us!).
