Rewilding is deliberate in the old orchard, separated from main garden by a high fence. There is a mown grassy path around its edge to facilitate access by nature lovers. The main garden is secluded and sheltered, with garden furniture provided. The period feel of the bungalow's furnishings and decor should be obvious from the photos provided.

These guests clearly made a big mistake in booking our bungalow. It is clear from the web site that it is not modern and has period features which many guests like. Many of the criticisms made are inaccurate or unjustified. Reference to mould last appeared in feedback on the VRBO web site as long ago as 2020 and has been rectified. We spoke to the guests several hours after their arrival and they surprisingly reported no problems at all. In addition, our medical daughter and son-in-law stayed at the bungalow the weekend before these guests arrived and reported no problems with mould or the mattress. We decided to refund £200 as a goodwill gesture as the guests only stayed one night (out of 3). In an email they implied receipt of the cheque in contrast to what they state in their comments. (Certificate of posting 31.05.2024, 13.22) We feel the phots accurately reflect the property as many other guests have recognised in giving high marks for accuracy of information. Unfortunately we have received several emails from these guests which have been vexatious and threatening. Overall we feel that the complaints made are generally inaccurate. We are pleased that other recent guests have given the property high marks as is reflected in the overall “excellent” score.

We were unable to speak to these visitors by phone after their arrival, as we usually do. We sent a text to ask them to let us know of any problems, but none were identified by them at the time. Keys are provided for all windows, hanging beside each one on a hook.
