The layout of the house was very nice. Large kitchen with lots of cooking utensils, four bedrooms with windows fitted with fly screens. 2 bathrooms with large showers and an extra toilet on the ground floor.
The pool was also very nicely located, laundry area on the property, large laundry room.
The one towel per person was a bit poor. Normally you would expect a towel set.
The general cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. Bathrooms were neatly cleaned but there were piles of dirt lurking in the corners of the rooms. The terrace and swimming pool area were also not swept.
It also didn't seem like a good idea to pass on the food from the previous tenants. The crockery cupboard was full of food moths.
Overall a very nice property, only the cleanliness should be improved
We are overall happy with the rental.
There were issues with the wifi when we were there but a satisfactory solution was provided.
Also keep in mind the extra charge related to electricity which add up to almost 300 eur due to heating during winter.
Une belle demeure trĂšs fonctionnelle, au calme pas de vis Ă vis, de lâespace et un cuisine fonctionnelle et pratique. Belle piscine avec pool house.
We were delighted with this house which was very clean, well equipped (e.g. much needed fans in every room) and well presented. The pool was kept wonderfully clean and had a spacious area surrounding it with room to BBQ and lovely views of the Luberon valley. The house is situated on the outskirts of Lauris, a peaceful and pretty village. It's a short drive from many other pretty villages and there is a lot to do in the local area.
We would definitely come here again, we had a great holiday.
The best stop on the greatest holiday. My wife and I spent 7 weeks bouncing between France, Italy and Spain. The time we spent at this rental and region was our favorite time.
The location is very convenient to explore the beautiful villages of the Luberon region.
The house has all the charm of an old farmhouse, which it was but with modern conveniences. Washer, wifi, pool etc.
It was clean and well maintained.
We have stayed at many vacation rentals, 5 different ones on this trip alone and this one is hands down the best one.
If you're going to visit the Provence area this is the rental for you.
The pictures don't do this house justice. It was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The house is in the French style of the area. It is very private. The kitchen is state of the art with all the necessary tools for cooking. The owner also allows the use of spices and condiments that are such are so inconvenient and costly to buy for just a few days. We did bring our own because so many places we've been had absolutely nothing. The master bedroom is lovely. The towels are plush. The beds are comfortable. The pool is very refreshing. The house was clean. The owners were very responsive before, during and after. We have no complaints at all. We hope to return next year.
We had a wonderful time at Lauris. The house was very pleasant to stay, however after being back home for more than 3 weeks. We still did not receive our demage deposit of âŹ500 back.
I have tried to contact the owner already twice but no feedback.
Really a pitty...

We were two families with 3 little children and had a perfect holiday in this fantastic house. Everything was great, the owner was friendly and provided a perfect customer service, the listing description was absolutely accurate, the house is well-equiped and very big. So wie had enough Space for our two families. The pool was also fantastic and as it was heated we could even use it when the wind gets colder. I would recommend this property to all my friends and we are thinking of coming back again next year.
This place felt immediately like a home; the lovely furniture in each room contributed to that. The thick walls and the vaulted ceilings of the kitchen and living room felt substantial and containing. Very well equipped and everything worked! Nice to be able to take a walk from the house and yet close to the village for provisions. Great area to travel around visiting historic villages when it was a market day; also close enought to see Avignon, Aix and Marseille in day trips. Great to come home to a swim. We would definitely recommend the property to a friend. Back up from Larry and Cindy , the cleaner, over one or two minor things , was fast and helpful.
Loved the unique La Table de Margot in Lauris....great patron.
The fort at Boux was the favourite expedition for us. We didn't find the walking maps accurate and thought the big stoney walking routes soulless in comparison with UK footpaths. But then we didn't try to do the 'sentiers' as we didn't trust the maps!
Just back from two weeks at 'Roumanille' in the heart of the beautiful Provence countryside. This had been a last minute surprise for for me as my son and his wife had planned it months ago but kept it a surprise from me until 2 weeks prior to departure, and what a surprise !! A beautiful old stone farmhouse, full of character and history yet equipped with top of the range facilities to keep the most demanding visitors happy.Although we were a party of 8 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 11 months there was plenty of space inside and out not to feel cramped. The 3 year old was particularly delighted to be held up to pick the grapes on the terrace as well as frolicking in the heated pool with her baby sister and family. Surroundings and views are lovely and so quiet and peaceful. A five minute drive in the morning took you into Lauris for freshly baked bread and the superb produce of the market. A further five minutes drive took you to the Super U, an excellent well stocked supermarket. On arrival the beds were all made up and there was an abundance of towels etc plus everything was spotlessly clean and manager speedily replied to our e mail when we had a query. The venue is within easy driving distance of some the pretty walled hilltop villages and towns and the Chateau in Lauris has a spectacular roof top terrace restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely meal. All in all it was a fantastic family holiday which I thoroughly recommend and would certainly return to. Liz Dickinson
We all loved our stay in this lovely villa. It is full of character, very spacious and with excellent up to date kitchen and bathrooms. Fantastic views across the Valley of the Durance to hills beyond! Wonderful how the light was always changing.
We found it a great base for exploring the Luberon with its fascinating hill villages, each of which seems to have a very good restaurant. We particularly recommend the Friday morning market in Lourmarin and drinks on the terrace at the Chateau in Lauris with its far reaching views. David provided a very informative and helpful guide + directions from and to the airport.
Many thanks to David and Larry for a truly enjoyable holiday from the Asher Family
Beautiful holiday villa. Excellent view in a quiet secluded spot in the countryside of Provence. Pool and BBQ area are fantastic. The house has been modernised but remains some period features which gives the place a real sense of charm. Nearby towns have excellent restaurants and plenty of places to visit nearby. It would make an excellent place to centre a cycle holiday
Fantastic!!!
Roumanille is a truly lovely Farmhouse in a beautiful setting. Each morning we threw open the shutters and got lost the views! The house is newly refurbished and tastefully done with a mixture of old Provence and comfy mod-coms. The pool was the perfect size and depth for three over-grown active boys who treated it as their second home! The manager was helpful and always on the end of the phone when we had questions about the house. The handbook was particularly useful. There is plenty to do; we had a great time canoeing on the river (English spoken by owners!) and the wine making chateaus nearby welcome visitors (superb Rose in this region) and you can hire bikes, but we didn't get round to that. We had a fabulous time and would happily go back again.
