Peu Hendra est l'une des trois propriétés à Hendra Barns station, près du village de Mitchell, situé à proximité de Newquay et Truro en Cornouailles.

Cette propriété de vacances est fortement fini d'offrir la détente avec un environnement de qualité. Petit Hendra est idéalement situé avec l'A30 à seulement 2 miles vous donnant l'occasion de découvrir Cornwall à plein.

Les clients des trois propriétés ont l'usage exclusif des 2. 5 acres dont la tonnelle au bord du lac pour les repas du soir et la pêche grossière sur les lacs.

This place is beautiful. They have done a really great job at making these old barns into cottages. The property is stunning. We had such a wonderful time. It is pretty secluded and quiet and a nice retreat after a busy day at the beach - I highly recommend this place.

Very scenic position which is also a great location for travelling around Cornwall by car despite being a bit tricky to find - they could do with a better sign at the turning

Fantastic time spent with the family in this idyllic location and amazing holiday home.

Great friendly hosts keeping us well informed of all information and quick to respond to all questions. Excellent property kept to the highest of standards, providing a great place to unwind and spend time with the family. Dog loved it too. Big thumbs up from the entire family 👍

A peaceful retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Little Hendra - a generous 2-bed cottage (part of a small complex of converted buildings each with good levels of privacy). Comfortably furnished with just about everything you could want for, and a much appreciated welcome pack - the clotted cream and scones were delicious! Plenty of outside space as well, although you do need to negotiate a long drive to get there it's well worth it. Well located for getting to almost every part of south-west Cornwall without any difficulty. Hosts very welcoming and relaxed - put us at ease straight away - this place is very definitely on our list for a possible return visit, we felt privileged to stay there.

Positiv: Super freundliche Gastgeber geben einem immer das Gefühl willkommen zu sein. Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Dazu noch ein wunderschöner Garten (Park).Negativ: Nur Kleinigkeiten, z b. Die Wasserleitungen im Badezimmer waren leider sehr laut.

A perfect piece of Cornish heaven!

We’ve just left after a perfect 6 nights in Little Hendra on the promise we’ll be back! The location was lovely and peaceful in stunning grounds. The property was absolutely perfect and the little touches like the welcome pack was so appreciated. Ken & Maggie are super friendly and helpful, we honestly didn’t want to leave. My youngest was very sad saying goodbye to the peacocks too!

Lovely location.

Lovely place although down a very long narrow road. Lots of space for the kids to play and the owners left a lovely welcome basket. Great middle point for visiting Newquay, Eden project and Heligan gardens.

An amazing gem in beautiful the beautiful Cornish location.

The welcome was very nice and friendly, We had amazing and accurate details on what to do a whole booklet of amazing information which was very good so we put the things at the end in where they should go. Accommodation was amazing they thought of everything fresh flowers as you walk in a nice touch. Plus a bounty box again really nice, We would definitely return.

Fabulous cottage and location

Well appointed homely cottage in a fabulous location. The little touches in the cottage make a real difference. Grounds were really Pretty with lovely views. And we were fairly central to everything.

The Perfect Getaway!

We stayed in the two bedroom Little Hendra property at the end of August 2021 for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean & comfortable and the owners extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great, so peaceful with lots of wildlife to see and the resident peacocks strutting around outside which the children loved. Plenty of space to play outdoors and we enjoyed morning walks around the fishing lakes with the dog. Such a stunning location! Good access to the A30 and surrounding areas to visit. Beaches within easy driving distance. We loved our stay and would happily stay again.

Beautiful cottage

Really pleasant stay. Cottage was nicely furnished and spacious. A bit hard to find in the dark when we arrived at night, but that’s part of the fun, as are the resident peacocks who like to roam around investigating who has arrived. Owners Ken and Maggie were very friendly and live on site. Beautiful grounds, we fished in the lake a couple of times, look out for the family of ducks who parade in a line when it’s their bedtime.

Very nice house and a warm welcome

Onze ervaring was top. We waren er wat eerder dan verwacht, maar we konden toch het huisje in en werden hartelijk ontvangen door Ken. Er was een welkomstmand met thee, koffie, scones en jam en in de koelkast stond clotted cream en een pak melk. Heel fijn na zo’n lange reis! Er stonden zelfs bloemen op tafel en een grote kaars in een windlicht in het raamkozijn. Het was fijn dat er ook wat essentialia aanwezig waren (afwasmiddel, handzeep, vaatwastabletten, wasmiddel, wc-papier). De keuken was best goed uitgerust. We misten eigenlijk alleen een grote bakpan met sterke anti-aanbaklaag en knoflookpers. We voelden ons erg thuis in dit huisje, omdat het huiselijk en voldoende prive was. En hoewel de toegangsweg enigszins spannend was met een lage auto, was de ligging harstikke mooi. Er was ruim gelegenheid voor de kinderen om te spelen (gigantisch grasveld) en de tuin was zo groot dat je echt een ‘ommetje’ kon maken rond de grote vijvers. Extra leuk vonden de kids dat je er bramen kon plukken en dat er wat fruitbomen waren. Verder was het een ideale locatie om de omgeving te verkennen, zo dichtbij de uitvalswegen. Benzinestation was ook erg dichtbij. Al met al een aanrader!!

Great location, fantastic setting

Better than the pictures suggest. The barn is set in fantasticly landcaped grounds, and have everything needed for a self catering stay. Lovely touches made me feel really welcome. I miss the baby pheasants!

Lovely hideaway.

On arrival key in door and property clean, warm and welcoming. Ingredients for Cornish tea scones, jam and clotted cream waiting for us. Beautiful peaceful location. Enjoyed the house martins nesting over bedroom window. Lovely view down to lake. Did some fishing in the evenings although my husband only seemed to catch big fish when I wasn’t there which of course he had to return immediately to the water before I could see them! Beds comfortable. Had all the facilities we needed. We were in the area to visit the Eden project which was amazing. As the Annual pass costs the same as a days entry we had the annual pass and spread the visit over two days as a lot of walking and the rain forest dome as you would expect was very hot and humid. Little Hendra would be our first choice of property if we were to visit the area again and if we plan any extended family visits to the area we would certainly go for the attached big hendra (sleeps 10 I think), and looks amazing.

Lovely home away from home

Perfect Cornwall retreat, beautiful grounds perfect for the little one to run around. Was so nice to come back from our daily adventure. Beds were comfy, amenities were good. No real complaints, WiFi was a little slow but understandable being out in the countryside, wasn’t what the holiday was about anyway. Would definitely recommend little Hendra for a nice cosy retreat. If/when we venture to Cornwall again we would certainly go back.

Unglaublich schöne Location

Hendra Barns ist ein verwunschener Ort irgendwo im Nirgendwo. Wunderschöner Ort zum Relaxen. Die Weitläufigkeit des schon parkähnlichen Geländes beeindruckte uns jeden Morgen aufs Neue . Die Zufahrt gestaltete sich durch den für unser Empfinden schlechten Zustand / teilweise recht tiefe Schlaglöcher, gewöhnungsbedürftig. Aber trotzdem unbedingt 5 Sterne !!!!

A lovely cosy property in quiet location

Very relaxing. The road to Little Hendra isn’t the best and is best suited to a 4 by 4 but once you get to the property you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing Location

We have just enjoyed a lovely week at Little Hendra. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped for our needs and we were given a warm welcome by the owners Ken and Maggie. We appreciated the welcome pack and the flowers. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and we loved the bird life including the resident peacock. The conservatory and terrace enjoy full evening sun. It was very easy to travel to many destinations in Cornwall from here, such as the Eden Project.

A charming, tranquil gem of place.

The property is a real home from home, a perfect retreat after a busy day at the beach. Quiet and tranquil, I would recommend this propertyas the owners have pretty much though of everything to make your stay enjoyable.

I have owned Hendra Barns for more than 20 years and over that time have put my heart and soul into this beautiful place. It has been a joy to work on these old buildings and bring them back to life. Hendra keeps me busy with the every day jobs. It's a pleasure as the setting is peaceful as well as relaxing, I am always around to ask advice as I live 200 yards away up the lane in Keepers Cottage.

Little Hendra is part of Hendra Barns. I converted it at the same time as the largest property, Hendra Barn, about 20 years ago to the same high standard. It is a very warm barn, peaceful and relaxing .
