Lovely apartment - just as pictures show - Very relaxing stay with pubs/ restaurants/ high street all within easy walking distance - Have already recommended to family and friends
Picture postcard view, excellent location for amenities and fantastic local walks, helped by the lovely sunshine we enjoyed for most of our stay. Host contacted us beforehand, which was helpful and the parking made life much easier.
Couldn't have picked a better spot for our family holiday. The views and the wildlife were spectacular

This property was very comfortable and well furnished. It suited our needs and had outside space to sit and enjoy the beautiful views.
Access to the town nearby was good.
We would definitely book again.
Property is in the most perfect location with parking right outside the door. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everything you could need for self catering is provided too. Fantastic views too.
Perfect location and property exactly as described
We stayed in this property for 4 days recently. The property was exactly as described, ideally located, with beautiful views and all very calming. Emma was brilliant at keeping us informed regarding all aspects of the property and local area. Would highly recommend this property
Our second trip here. Excellent apartment with great views of the estuary. So much to do here . Glaslyn and Dyfi ospreys a must see. Good communication with owner
Wow, what a wonderful place to stay. OK, we had fantastic weather, but the location on the waters edge was perfect. Well equipped and an easy walk into town. Good communication from the host also. Would thouroughly recommend.
This ground floor apartment was perfect for mum husband and I and my 91 year old Mum. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Fantastic views from lounge and main bedroom and you can even see the steam train coming and going. Would definitely stay here again. Great to speak to Emma too before we went who answered any questions I had.
Stayed at this beautiful apartment, with wonderful views of the harbour. The grounds around the buildings were well kept. The apartment was spotless, the beds comfy and all bed linens and towels very clean. We all love the location of the apartment, it was a real joy to be so near the water's edge and enjoy the scenery. Many thanks to the owner Emma, for a wonderful and perfect stay.
Top rate apartment in a perfect location. Our third visit but still finding plenty to do. The apartment is perfect for visiting the local area.Do not miss osprey watching at Glaslyn and Dyfi or the Dinorwig slate museum. Yr hen fecus is a delightful restaurant 5 minutes away. Beware Harlech castle has a tiny carpark and a very steep hill
Excellent location - easy walk to town / railway. Marvellous view of estuary, yachts, which even with rainy weather brightened the spirit. Could sit & relax just looking at the view.
Superb bathroom with large shower. Good facilities apart from kitchen utensils - need overhaul. Didn't like fold up dining chairs.
I am not very mobile so find this apartment ideal. I donât think it would work for a wheelchair user but ideal if on sticks or crutches. New shower amazing!
Beds very comfy.
If weather unfavourable, wonderful views from the patio doors.
The apartment was super. Clean tidy and well stocked with everything you needed. And in a delightful position (I quite miss waking up to the lapping of the water) .. and it is very central for exploring the surrounding areas.
We did get caught in a few down pours of rain so a washer dryer would have saved damp washing/towels being draped, but it certainly wouldnât put me off highly recommending Oakley Wharf. We were very comfortable and felt very at home.
We had a super week.
My name is Emma Patchett and I live in Warwickshire with my husband and two children. Before having my children I had a career as a solicitor, although I decided to give up my legal position whilst the children are young. I now work part-time. The apartment in Porthmadog belongs to my mother.
It is in such a beautiful and peaceful spot, with every type of amenity close by. We hope it appeals to many types of holiday maker - walkers, beach lovers, climbers, wildlife enthusiasts, fans of steam railway or those who simply want a restful holiday watching the yachts in the harbour. Our children have loved trips to the beaches and amazing coastal castles nearby. All of our family have had wonderful holidays in the apartment and we would like others to be able to enjoy the delights of Snowdonia too!
Snowdonia is a wonderful destination for a holiday. We love the area because there are so many different things to do and it also has both spectacular coastal and mountain scenery. The apartment is ideally positioned to take advantage of both.
The apartment is very quiet and peaceful and is at the edge of the small town of Porthmadog. It is situated on the Harbour, the access road is actually part of the Welsh Coastal Path. In the 19th century Oakley Wharf was a busy quayside loading Welsh slate for export around the world, and the area retains many historic features. It's only a few minutes walk to restaurants, pubs, shops, beaches and Ffestiniog railway station where you can travel by steam train into the surrounding countryside. The apartment can cater for everyone's holiday needs!
One of the best things about Oakley Wharf is its waterside location and the fabulous harbour views from the garden. This makes it a wonderful spot for sitting in the garden, having a cup of tea/glass of wine, or eating, and watching the boats go by.
To the left you can see the ever changing colours of the mountains of Snowdonia and to the right is the Glaslyn estuary with its varied bird life and the beautiful sea views.
From the front door it is a pleasant walk to the beaches beyond Borth-y-Gest or the shops & cafes of Porthmadog High Street. You can choose a short stroll or a longer hike along the coastal paths, past beaches and coves with spectacular views.
The Ffestiniog railway is also very nearby for memorable steam-powered trips into Snowdonia.
