Appartement duplex privé de 9 pièces et jardin avec vue panoramique mer et montagne

Sandbanks est un spacieux appartement privé de trois chambres dans un manoir côtier à Borth y Gest près de Porthmadog. Toutes les fenêtres de l'appartement offrent une vue imprenable sur la mer et l'estuaire ou la montagne.
L'appartement dispose d'un salon spacieux et d'une salle à manger séparée: il peut accueillir jusqu'à six personnes, avec trois chambres, une salle de bain, une salle de douche et un vestiaire. Le salon a de hauts plafonds et de grandes fenêtres donnant sur la baie. La propriété est en duplex et est accessible par une entrée privée. La maison est située dans trois hectares de jardins, et tous, sauf les terrasses avant sont ouverts aux invités. Il y a un parking privé et wifi.
RÉDUCTION D'AUTOMNE POUR LES COUPLES
Les plages de Borth y Gest sont accessibles à pied, tout comme la ville de Porthmadog avec son célèbre chemin de fer Ffestiniog. Le village italien de Portmeirion est à 3,2 km.
Pour les amateurs de sport, nous avons une salle de fitness qui peut être utilisée par arrangement.

The property is in a beautiful setting with glorious views over the estuary. There is a faded grandeur about it. We were warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay.

Spectacular location and comfortable stay.

We really enjoyed staying here. The ever changing view was great. The property itself is light and colourful. Communication with the owner was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed kayaking locally, visiting Portmerion and climbing up Snowdon. Highly recommend staying here.

Amazing views!

This is a lovely property in a great spot. The views from every room are amazing! Great to be able to see the Ffestiniog railway crossing the cob. Lots of walks from the door, including into Porthmadog. The outdoor area is lovely. We had a great time.

Family expedition to Porthmadog

Great place in a great location. Ideally situated for visiting North Wales and has lots of amenities within walking distance. There are easily reachable local beaches in Borth y Gest and beyond. The views of the ever changing Glaslyn estuary and the surrounding hills are amazing. There is a large terrace facing the estuary and and an extensive enclosed lawned garden area. Host Gwyn was very helpful in telling us about places to visit and where to eat out.

Amazing location, Stunning views

Just got back from lovely family break. Property in a stunning location with breathtaking views. Private garden with viewing point was beautiful - perfect for BBQ or chilling with a book. Terrace at the front needed some TLC, views were spectacular, however not particularly private from property owners lounge (directly overlooking the terrace). Property itself was huge with all necessary amenities, however definitely in need of updating and remedial work. Views from all rooms were gorgeous - every room light and airy. With regards to cleanliness, the kitchen and bathrooms clean, however like the rest of the house in need of a good spruce up. Shower room had black mold on the ceiling which had just been wiped off and there were several large cracks and damp patches throughout the other rooms. A lot of cobwebs and dust, however to be fair, a very large and grand house to keep spotlessly clean. In terms of the owner, very friendly, accomodating and helpful, and we would love to give the property a 5 star review, however it is just a little tired and would benefit from a bit of love. Location was perfect- 10 minute walk to either Porthmadog or Borth Y Gest, with the latter having 3 beautiful sandy coves, which were dog friendly and fairly safe to swim in. Borth Y Gest was a beautiful little village with great views, a small beach and two lovely bars/restaurants. All in all we had a fantastic, restful stay and would highly recommend the house (despite the cosmetics) and location.

Dear Michelle - thank you for your review and I’m glad you had a lovely family break. You mention cleaning, and privacy on the terrace. The cleaning needs to be perfect and usually is. In your case I was not able to do my check because of your early arrival. I am sorry for that. If you d mentioned it I would have had it dealt with immediately. As for the privacy on the terrace, yes it is overlooked and that is why we also provide Sandbanks with the sole use of a private garden, and that is not overlooked. You very kindly end by saying your holiday was ‘fantastic and restful’. Thank you for that, and below are what the guests that immediately preceeded you said "The house is more light and spacious than the pictures show. 3 decent bed rooms. Bath rooms and kitchen; everything works. Well equiped. Wifi very fast and good smart TV. Privacy of the house is good. 100% recommended" "Very nice place with stunning views and a really lovely host who went above and beyond to try to help us"

Exceptional location with a marvelous view

Beautiful old house with a magnificent garden and an outstanding view - we very much enjoyed our stay. Our host took extra care that we had everything we needed, answered quickly every question and provided several great hints on the location and the things one might want to do.

Unbelievable Experience!

We absolutely loved staying here for 2 weeks, it was hard to leave at the end of our holiday. Gwyn, our host took great care of us and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay. We really enjoyed finding out about the history of the property and felt privileged to stay somewhere with the most incredible views over the bay. The apartment was large and gave us plenty of space for 4 adults and 1 child. The garden space was also great and we enjoyed sitting out while our son had a run around. Parking was also really handy and easily accommodated our campervan and a car with plenty of room to spare. The location is great for walking into Borth y Gest and Porthmadog. Our son loved crabbing off the harbour wall in Porthmadog which was only a 5 minute walk away. A short drive took us to Black Rock Sands which is one of our favourite beaches. We really hope to stay again next year and would recommend it to anyone looking to escape it all and enjoy what North Wales has to offer. Thank you so much Gwyn!

Amazing Scenery at SandBanks

Our stay was for a week. It was so hard to draw your eyes from the beautiful sea view immediately from our apartment. The surrounding countryside was also stunning with many beautiful walks. I was brought up in Snowdonia and came to love the outdoor life. I’ve lived in many other places since then, but came home when I bought Garth Hall. I loved the Hall’s history and its spectacular views.

I’ve travelled a great deal and have been looked after by so many good hosts, and now I relish looking after our guests. Should you need anything before, or during, your stay then I’m here to help. I know the area very well and would be happy to share this knowledge with you. But I also recognise that some guests value independence and privacy and I always respect that. I’m here if you need me and am invisible if you don’t.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property is on the coast immediately above the bay. The beaches are within walking distance and the mountains are a short drive away. Portmeirion is directly across the bay as is Harlech castle.
There are lots of sporting opportunities - golf, mountain biking, gym, tennis, zip wires, boats etc etc.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The amazing views, the privacy, the location, its history.....and some of the people who lived here before me.

The property is spacious, well located, tranquil and has stunning sea views which you can enjoy from all the windows or from your private garden.

The Hall has been the home of Spooner the engineering architect of the Ffestiniog Railway (nearby).
Later it was the home of the renowned Shakespearian actress Dame Sybil Thorndike and leading actors of the day stayed here.

Lloyd George was a regular visitor during his pupilage under a previous owner Randall Casson.
