The cottage was spacious and well equipped. Loved all the goodies the owner left, such a nice surprise. Very quiet and West Meon is such a quintessential English village.
Absolute gem of a property. Perfect secluded location with a local pub in walking distance. Very user friendly accommodation with all the comforts of home. Easy check in on arrival and safe outdoor area. Comfortable seating in lounge and bed Perfect..
The cottage was spacious, clean and well equipped
Very good host who kept in touch albeit at a distance
Easy access via key safe
Lovely location and easily accessible
Thoroughly recommended
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is spacious and very well appointed. The hosts live on the property (it's a working farm) and Victoria was extremely friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this property.
We had a lovely time in a beautiful area and lovely quiet converted stables.
The Gluten free welcome pack including GF brownies was gorgeous.
Thank you Victoria. X
Really enjoyed our stay. The dogs were secure in the garden along with the car. Very peaceful location. The accommodation had all that was needed including fans as it was very hot. Would consider staying again.
We spent 11 nights in this beautiful cottage in a quiet village. The associated farm is right next door. There was a warm welcome with brownies and wine by our hosts.
For 4 adults the cottage is really spacious and it is well equipped.
The car park is on the premises.
We had a lovely stay. The cottage was very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location was excellant, a lovely village and stunning views of the downs within walking distance. Also the welcome gifts from the owner were fantastic - the brownies are to die for!!!! Thankyou
Lovely cozy cottage with a personal touch. The Christmas tree, the first essentials and brownies like we never tasted before.
The environment is stunning, with lots of opportunityâs for great walks.
The Stables proved a homely, relaxing country experience within a beautiful setting. The village is only minutes walk away and is a true piece or rural Britain where people stop and say hello, talk in the general store and where time seems to stand still.
The host, Victoria, baked delicious gluten free brownies and provided a lovely starter kit for our stay. Communication was A1 and we were made most welcome, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Thanks to Victoria for being such a wonderful hostess. The brownies, farm fresh eggs and butter were a real treat. The kids and I enjoyed meeting the lovely horses and foal as well. Our only regret was that we didnât stay longer. We hope to come again soon. All the best, from Canada.
A lovely 2 bedroomed cottage on a farm/beside farm buildings. The property was just 1 mile from West Meon ⊠within walking distance, with a pavement most of the way.
The kitchen was well equipped - and also had a dishwasher and washing machine.
Comms with Victoria were excellent and finding the property was straight forward.
Overall - it is a great location if you want to walk the Meon Valley trail
We loved the property! We were a group of 5 girls just looking for a relaxing break and the house was perfect, the pictures didnt do it justice. Enough room in the open plan downstairs to eat and sit comfortably and the bathroom has a larger shower than is in the picture. The brownies were amazing, a lovely touch. We went to the beach as it is about 45 mins to west wittering and then had dinner at the pub which is a 15 min walk away which I would recommend. Great host and we hope to be back in the future
Location chosen due to a wedding venue. Location beautiful and accommodation very satisfying.
On arrival Friday we had a problem with the car which could not be fixed until the Sunday. Victoria went out of her way to take us to the wedding venue on the Saturday and pick us up later in the evening. This was more than expected.
A most enjoyable weekend and great hosts. We will certainly book the accommodation again if the need arises to go back to the location.
Booked a last-minute break for 3 nights over half term with our 7-year-old and Border Collie.
The cottage was extremely clean, warm and the beds very comfortable. Our little one loved the little âreading cornerâ upstairs and we liked the open plan downstairs space so we were always in the same place together.
It is equipped with everything you could possibly need, and we arrived to milk, bread, butter, jam, marmalade, wine and freshly baked Chocolate Brownie which was a lovely surprise.
Great communication from Victoria she even let us check in slightly earlier and depart later, it was nice to have her drop in and check everything was ok. Despite being on a working farm it was so peaceful, and we only heard the occasional farm traffic passing by.
We followed two of the circular walks from the book left in the cottage and liked that we didnât need to drive anywhere (and that both walks ended near a pub đ ). Nice small village shop great for picking up a few treats / essentials.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.
Thanks Victoria â See you again!
stayed for the weekend, in Hampshire celebrating my dads 80th. The cottage is very well equipped and an ideal home away from home. The owner is very helpful. Cannot fault our stay
Comfortable, well maintained, providing everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We have stayed before and we are all looking forward to visiting again.
Westbury Manor Stables are owned by Simon and Victoria Cobden. They live a couple of hundred yards from the Stables so are available to answer any queries you may have whilst you are on holiday. Simon is a farmer whilst Victoria helps on the farm and looks after their two children and The Stables
Westbury Manor Farm was bought by Mr and Mrs Cobden snr in 1973 and the family have lived there ever since. The Stables are owned by their eldest son Simon and his wife Victoria - they were converted from stables to a lovely holiday cottage in 2012. It is lovely to live on a farm in a rural setting but also have all the amenities you could possibly need just a few miles away.
The Stables are on the edge of a working farm and whilst guests must be aware farms can be dangerous places due to tractors and machinery, there is the opportunity to see newborn lambs and calves at certain times of the year. Lovely walking area within the South Downs National Park. The Stables have been converted to a great standard but retain the character of the Victorian building
