Sortez par la porte d'entrée et vous êtes aux piscines océaniques Docas do Cavacas et la promenade du Lido. Transport en commun à la porte d'entrée et stationnement intérieur. À côté du supermarché Modelo et en haut de la rue du forum de Madère. Vues d'un million de dollars. Vue de la plage de Formosa.

Fantastic

We were five adults aged between 80 and 35, and a small child under 2 years old, who rented this fantastic apartment. We were very satisfied with everything.We didn’t have access to a car, although there were garage spaces available. We chose to get into Funchal city either on foot or by Taxi/Bolt.There’s a good grocery store nearby — but it’s up a steep hill, so if you have limited mobility, you might need a car or someone to assist you.There are both swimming spots and good restaurants in the area, and we can truly recommend trying Aconchego Restaurante Bar — it may not look like much, but the food is excellent.Simply a great place to stay.

Third time

This was our third time staying at this property. Joe's brother Nelson and his wife Ana greeted us when we arrived and were excited to show us all the upgrades Joe has done. New furniture in the living room, a new cabinet beside the table in the kitchen, new dishes and pots and pans and both bathrooms totally renovated. We love the location on the water and everything you need just a stroll away. We are hoping to return next year.

A perfect home away from home

The apartment wasn't as described - it was better! The location was perfect - out of the city, but close enough to get there quick. A large balcony and view to die for, Plus another large balcony and views from the kitchen. It was the most well equipped place I had stayed in ever, complete with a clothesline and pegs to hang washing for longer stays.The apartment was huge and comfortably slept all 3 of my teenage children. I would definitley recommend.

Wonderful Stay

Joe and Nelson were wonderful to deal with and our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The apartment is well located with fantastic views. Everything was clean and the checkin/checkout process was effortless. We will stay here again for future visits. Thank you Joe and Nelson!

Great apartment, friendly contact

Everything was a good fit. The location of the apartment was just right for us. Directly at the promenade, with ample shopping opportunities and in walking distance to Funchal center. The bus stop was directly at the building. The apartment itself was spacious as advertised. We had a very easy time with 5 people and enjoyed the big living room. Contact with the owner was a breeze. If we had a question or request, everything went smoothly. Absolutely recommended!

This condo/department was perfect!

The apartment was beautiful, two couples stayed perfectly. The area was very nice, away from tourist. But very easy to get anywhere you want. Bus stop right in front of the building. There’s a lot of hills! But there’s a walk down the steps through a tunnel and beautiful rock beaches several restaurants close by.

Amazing place and great location

We came here for a family vacation. The flat was amazing, clean and in a great location with wonderful views. There was nearby access to the ocean, supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants. Also, easy access to coastal walking and downtown. We would definitely stay here again the next time in Madeira. Also, Nelson was very helpful, and even helped us with a car battery issue.

Perfect location

The apartment was spacious and located in the same building complex with shops and restaurants. It was also right at the bus stops connecting directly to the center of Funchal as a well as to the airport. There was also a designated parking spot in the underground parking for the rented car. We all had wonderul time.

Excellent place to stay, I could look at the view forever!

Joe & his brother Nelson are excellent hosts. The apartment is roomy and a perfect place for me, my brother and sister, each with our own bedroom (I got the ensuite!). The kitchen is well equipped and balconies on either side provided shade and sun (weather permitting) as required. Excellent transport links into Funchal via the bus stop right outside, and the shopping area in the centre has a supermarket ideal for most items when we don't want to make the 10 minute hike up to the Forum where there is a large supermarket. Varied restaurants within a 2 minute walk are ideal to suit any palate. All in all a perfect location for a Xmas / New Year break. Wish we could stay longer!

Superb Location

Spacious apartment 100 yards from the sea. Quiet location . Balcony with lovely view over the water and stunning sunsets spring to autumn. Fine selection of bars and restaurants on your doorstop . The Forum shopping centre is a 5 minute walk. The bus at the front door takes you into the centre of Funchal in 15 minutes or you can take a lovely walk along the bay in 45 minutes. Since finding this apartment in April 2016 we have been back 7 times. That says it all .

Best Location and, great apartment

Apartment was in great location, Mall, supermarket,restuarants, views, sunset views, natural pools. Had to let owner know to raise the hotel waster Temp. because it was just luke warm. Big issue was the stench of urin in master bedroom and one other bedroom. The prior guests must have pee in bed. If that is fixed we would stay again for sure. Use the hello bus and not the Red bus if you going to do Funchel tour. More busses and come right to Apartment

Lovely apartment

The apartment was as described, nice and spacious with a good view of the sea. Location is great in terms of convenience, very close to shops and the local beach. Communication with the owner was good, our kettle turned out to be broken and we messaged them and they brought a new one same day. We had a problem checking in only because the contact number was not working for us, in the end we found it worked if you added 003 at the start of the number, this may have been in the information sent to us but we couldn't find it at the time. Once the call went through they came over very quickly to let us in. Unfortunately one thing that disturbed our stay was that the upstairs neighbours are loud, they get up early (5am) and have the TV on late, chairs scrape on their floors, this would be fine except for you can hear everything coming through the ceiling. The road noise is also loud if you are in the bedrooms that are next to the road. For this reason if you are noise sensitive or a light sleeper I would recommend bringing earplugs. This is not the hosts fault, we just found it a bit noisy for us personally. Other than that, a lovely stay in a nice apartment with helpful hosts.

Well worth a stay

The apartment was clean and very spacious. plenty of room for myself, my wife and our two adult children and their partners. Easy access to Funchal by bus The No 2 stops right outside and is less than 10 minutes to the center of Funchal. The yellow hop on hop off bus also stops right outside the apartment. The apartment is on the 4tf floor with a lovely sea view and mountain view and has two lifts that work as they should. There is also a parking space in the basement and plenty of parking outside. Its only 5 minutes walk to the forum shopping centre, and also a short walking distance to nice restaurants. The reason I gave communication 4 out of 5 stars, is because I sent a text message saying we needed teaspoons and never got a reply, the next morning I purchased some spoons and when I returned to the apartment there was a bag with spoons tied to the door. If I got a reply I wouldn't have purchased more. other than that, I think the apartment was fantastic and I can highly recommend staying there. On a final note, It was excellent value for money.

Fantastic location to the beach

We have been to Funchal on previous trips to Madeira, so we booked this apartment to be close to the beach, above the pools at Doca Do Cavacas. This location is great, also close to some restaurants and a small grocery store for essentials, in the same location. The rooms in the apartment are large, and the bathrooms are new and clean. There are plenty of towels and sheets, but bring your own bath soap, etc. We appreciated having 3 sets of keys and underground parking. There isn't air-conditioning, but we kept windows and balcony doors open for good cross-ventilation. We noticed the hardwood floors were not clean when we arrived (our bare feet were always dirty), and there was a communication barrier when we needed a friend to translate for us for the agreed-to check-in meeting. And I feel obligated to mention a safety issue. Beware that the door handles to the balconies are one-sided, that is, when you are out on the balcony, do not close the balcony door because the handle is ONLY on the inside of the apartment. There is no way to get inside if there isn't someone to let you in. Friends of ours in another unit were locked outside on their balcony for over an hour when their other occupants were out for dinner. This situation would be a building code violation in the U.S. I offer this as a caution to future renters. Overall, we liked this apartment, and would stay again.

Excellent location, near all facilities

Met by owner's brother who was very helpful. Property exactly as described, in excellent condition with lovely view from balcony. Property was well-maintained overall. Clean and comfortable - beds very comfortable (an essential for a holiday property). Well equipped throughout but would have liked a coffee maker or kettle and teapot provided as most tourists, I imagine, would put these to good use. We ended up buying a kettle ourselves! The local amenities were all very close including access to the nearby supermarket, Madeira Forum Shopping Centre, bus stop, excellent choice of restaurants, local swimming (which was really good and a very reasonable price). This was our third visit to Madeira and this was the best area and accommodation we stayed in. Recommendations for improvement: The addition of instruction booklets for TV, DVD player, washing machine, cooker, safe, etc. would be of great benefit. Additionally, having a guestbook for recommendations for restaurants and other attractions would be really useful along with some local brochures and tourist information. The showerhead attachment in the main bathroom could not be fixed to the wall! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property for a family holiday.

Très bel appartement, grand , très bien situé avec une très belle vue sur la mer depuis la terrasse. Plage et piscine ainsi que supermarché au pied de l'immeuble.Nous avons été bien accueilli et avons passé un très bon séjour.
