Nice big house, nearby Lacaux and Saint Emilion and Bordeaux wine region and town. Beautiful landscspe and wineyards. In two bedroom air conditioning, private swimingpool, large beautiful garden and posibility to eat outside (we was 8 pers). Thankd to host family.
Eric's place is stunning and in a fantastic location - we couldn't have asked for more. He accommodated us checking in early and was really responsive during our stay, as well as providing a great restaurant recommendation. There's lots to do in the area - markets, wine tasting, canoeing - and the house is a beautiful place to relax in the evening. One thing to note is that the pool is indoors - we hadn't realised before arriving - but there is a river beach for swimming just a few minutes walk away, which was perfect for the very hot weather.
Beautiful building, amazing location and excellent host.
Such a treat. The house has been very well renovated and the rooms are absolutely huge. Kitchen is great when you need to cook with everything you could need. The garden is beautifully maintained as is the pool with plenty of space to relax. The location is perfect, right on the river with shops and markets a quick stroll away. Great local community with regular fetes and food festivals. Great find and would heartily recommend it to anyone. Will visit again.
Had a fabulous two weeks staying in this beautiful, historic, riverside mansion. Equipped with everything needed for a very comfortable, relaxing stay. A five minute walk across the adjacent bridge takes you into Sainte Foy La Grande with its superb market each Saturday.
The owners were brilliant and couldnât do enough to ensure everything was perfect for our stay.

Tolle Lage, historisches Anwesen, sehr nette Vermieter
The apartment was so beautiful and spacious, it truly was a dream spot to stay. The hosts were always helpful and we had a perfect time. The gardens are gorgeous, and the property is close to many things. Bakeries and the charming downtown are only a three minute walk away. For larger grocery visits there is a super marche within a five minute drive. Great Saturday market too.
A family of 3 and a lovely dog: I moved back to France with my family at the end of 2009 after spending 25 years in Manhattan, New York where we were in restaurant business. During the family visit in wine country, I have found my dream home on the bank of the Dordogne River. Come to stay with us in this Historic Home of Port Sainte Foy and enjoy what lovely villages have to offer......
