Breathtaking views on Lake Como

We had an amazing family holiday at Brian’s place in Argegno. The patio with views of the Lake was amazing. The pool was refreshing. We were a short walk to town and the Piazza. Argegno was amazing with with small town vibe and without the crowds of the better known towns.

Breathtaking view of the lake from this fabulous apartment. 100% would recommend. Brian is a fantastic host, responding quickly to any questions I had. Also very accommodating with requests. Beds and pillows are very comfortable too. Pool area is small but lovely with comfortable loungers and chairs. The walk down to the village is quite steep ... not so bad when walking down but hard coming back so maybe not so good for those with mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave!

Amazing views from Apartment

Argegno was a great place to stay, plenty of bars and restaurants, good position on the lake to explore. We used the local ferries to get around to visit Bellagio, Como and Varrenna. We also used the cable car to get to Pigra ( spectacular views from the top) Brian was a great host, easy to contact. We had a great week and we would definitely recommend this apartment. to Pi

Fantastic setting. Well equipped apartment with shared pool. Beautiful views from the balcony. Would definitely recommend a car getting to the accommodation. However, the apartment is accessible via steep stairs from the village or the ferry port if you are coming by public transport. This was fine for our party but would not be for those with mobility issues.Would have given an excellent review if not for issues with the wifi which was shared with the apartment next door. I understand the property owner will address this going forwards. The owner was very responsive and tried to fix the issues promptly.

La Dolce Vita in Argegno

The apartment was located in a small town with a small Piazza that had cafes, restaurants and a small shop with a tiny grocery store. Argegno has a ferry stop and bus stop that takes you all over Lake Como. The apartment was well stocked for cooking etc. I wish it had better linens for the full size bed. We stayed for 26 days so it would have been nice to have an extra set of linens. The apartment is located on a very steep hill as are most places around Lake Como. There was a walking path to the Piazza which made it very convenient. However, if you have a bad knee as I had,or are not in pretty good health it's not an easy walk. Overall we enjoyed staying there it had all the conveniences that were needed.

Real Italian Joie de Vivre

The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. As the house is situated in front of a valley the temperature is mostly very pleasant, not to mention the view from the appartment which is absolutely stunning. We loved the swimming pool, but there is also a beach downtown. The lovely local restaurants in Argegno (La Piazetta, Barchetta and Colombo, plus some others) are recommended. You'll need a car to benefit from this house, but there is a good bus (and boat!) connection in walking distance with both Como and Bellagio. The local council has put in place a very simple rubbish collection system, everything is well organized in this amazing place! Overall: great appartment with pool and garage for a family holiday in a friendly and hospitable small village Argegno.

Wunderbarer Ausblick auf den Comer See

Ein wirklich tolles Appartement mit grandiosen Ausblick auf den Vomer See. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool und den nahen Spielplatz ausgiebig genossen. Die Betten sind etwas renovierungsbedürftig und sehr hart. Das Wohnhaus war in Garage und Keller etwas dreckig. Die Garage und die Zufahrt sind extrem eng und auch steil, das geht sicher nicht mit jedem Auto. Der Kontakt mit Brian war immer möglich und er hat auch schnell reagiert. Leider konnte er auch nicht alle Kleinigkeiten lösen, das Rat unserer Erholung aber keinen Abbruch. In der Küche ist das Besteck etwas zusammengestückelt, es fehlen Eierbecher, ein paar kleine Teller, Weingläser. Wir würden trotzdem jederzeit wieder kommen.

Great Location

The apartment is located very closely to the town center and is equipped with everything one needs. Lakeview is amazing! Great is the parking space in the underground car park. It‘s rather narrow but we hardly used the car anyway because Argegno has a great boat and bus connection. Restaurants are within short walking distance. Communication with Brian really was excellent. He answers every question and provides info on what to do in the Lake Como region. We enjoyed our vacation so much and would love to come back.

Tolle Ferienwohnung mit gigantischer Aussicht

Saubere, großzügige Wohnung mit Panoramafenster zum See. 5 Minuten "Abstieg" zum Ortskern (Restaurants, Bars, Minimarkt). Toller sauberer Pool. Sehr zuvorkommender Vermieter. Empfehlenswert!

Amazing stay in a wonderful village with an outstanding owner!

I have been a VRBO customer for over 10 years. Brian is the nicest, most organized, communicative, helpful and generous owner I have ever had the pleasure to work with. We had an illness situation en route to Italy, and Brian was extremely helpful with information about where to go to a pharmacy and doctor if needed, before we traveled from Como to Argegno. Above and beyond what is expected from a property owner. The apartment is great, and the pool was a HUGE bonus during the recent heat wave. We did swim in the lake as well, which was in walking distance from the apartment. The local restaurants at the piazza are superb and the coffee/gelato were just as wonderful at those places. Everyone is so nice! We did not have a car, but did find the bus very easy and helpful in getting some groceries in Lenno. Water taxi to Bellagio is very easy and a must do, even for a few hours to see a different area. If Brian had properties in other locations, I would most certainly stay in them! You can't go wrong and he'll do everything he can to make your trip perfect. 5+ stars!!!

Unser Urlaub war super. Der Blick vom Balkon auf den comer See ist klasse.

Die Wohnung hat alles was man für einen Urlaub braucht . Es ist sauber ! Die Tiefgarage zum parken ist besonders im Sommer super . Der Pool ist sauber , habe ihn jeden Tag benutzt. Der Vermieter antwortet bei Fragen innerhalb einer Stunde . Echt guter Service . Wir kommen gerne wieder .

Perfect apartment in a perfect place

We loved our weeklong stay in this apartment and would go back in a heart beat! We were two Canadian couples who stayed comfortably here. Apartment has stunning views of the lake. It is close to all the amenities in the town. The local town is nice in that it is not too touristy allowing you to get a true sense of what an Italian town on lake como is like. Kitchen had everything you could need to make a home cooked meal. Owners recommendations were great. Highlight was taking the ferry to the island for a delicious meal. Thanks for providing such a nice home base for us to explore beautiful lake como!

Beautiful property with stunning views

We stayed at this apartment at the of September for a week. The apartment is absolutely perfect for a weeks holiday, its clean, bright, spacious and has everything you could need for self catering. It is extremely comfortable and there is plenty of space for 4 people. However the best thing about it was the magnificent views of the Lake from the balcony, they are quite stunning! We sat put most evenings with a bottle of wine enjoying the evening sun set over the lake. The town of Argengo is really lovely too and a short walk from the apartment. There are some steep steps to climb if making the journey by foot but to be honest the views make this bit of effort worth while! I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful apartment overlooking Lake Como

When we arrived at the apartment we were delighted: it had stunning views of the lake, especially from the living area. The apartment has everything one could need: great bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and 2 very good bedrooms. Though we didn't use it there was a large swimming pool at the rear of the apartment and ample garaging. The spotlessly clean apartment was about 300m from the heart of Argegno - the Piazzetta - which had terrific bars and restaurants, a fantastic gelateria and other facilities just a stone's throw from the lakeside. The ferry terminal, the starting point to explore amazing lake and its fascinating towns was just across the road. The owner Brian was brilliant, answering all my initial enquiries promptly and couldn't have been more helpful. The apartment has my highest recommendation.

Relaxing Stay and Gorgeous Views

With very short notice we were delighted to book this place for four people and we had a wonderful, relaxing winter break! The apartment was very comfortable and offered some absolutely spectacular views of lake Como!! Walking down to the little town of Argegno through the winding little cobble stone alley ways and beautiful architecture added to the experience of going out for meals at night. The food in the town is very good and we had plenty of choices. We had stayed in Argegno over the summer and really enjoyed the little town with all the little terraces and the boat service which makes it so easy to get around the lake for day trips. I would certainly recommend staying in this apartment instead of one of the dusty old hotels that we had opted for over the summer. There is plenty to do around lake Como both in winter and in summer and this apartment is a good base. We will definitely be returning to this apartment again.

Great Stay..

This is a lovely apartment with magnificent lake views. Argegno is a nice town and a great place to fully experience all that Lake Como has to offer. Brian was a pleasure to deal with throughout and we have already vowed to return during summer time as our visit in late October was with mixed weather unfortunately. Certainly will return.

I live and work in Dublin, Ireland. I fell in love with Como, particularly Argegno, over 12 years ago and spend time there every year since. I bought this lovely apartment in 2008 and always enjoy returning to it whenever I can.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I love travelling and after many years doing so I say still say to people 'Como is the most beautiful place on earth'. Every friend I have told this too that visits comes back in full agreement. Argegno is a lovely town which provides the best opportunities to see the rest of the lake at your leisure. Having said that, if you never left this apartment and just relaxed and admired the stunning views from the balcony all week I can't think any other holiday could match it.
