We had a wonderful 11 night stay at this villa. It was very quiet and just what we needed. Villa was spacious as were the grounds surrounding it. A nice large pool complimented the villa.
Bernie was an excellent host with good communication before hand and also helping to guide us in over the phone when we went up the wrong street!
Itâs about 25 minute walk to nearest restaurants and you have to negotiate around 400 mtrs of dual carriageway walking before getting to the quieter roads. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in this locality.
The property had 6 others around it, many of them seemed unoccupied so it was very quiet.
Just one note and I donât think the owner can really do much about it but a neighbour does have an Alsatian dog that jumps the wall and wants to be your friend which can be quite annoying. He would leave if encouraged, but was back every day! We did not feed it!
You do need a car to explore the north and we were very pleased to do this. We were able to see a turtle excavation for eggs and also held them in a private release into the sea. Well worth it!
Good villa needs a bit of tlc to make it a great villa. Exceptionally clean on arrival, and the welcome pack was much appreciated.
Quiet area close to all amenities.
We had an electrical issues during the first few days, the electrician who attended recommended a new fuse board to bring it up to date.
Good communication from Bernie to begin with, unfortunately relations declined when the pool turned green. We reported it to the management company immediately on the Sunday but they did not to come until the Monday. We were unable to use the pool for a minimum of 3 days as it was being treated for algae.
We werenât aware until arrival that we had to pay extra for electric if we went over a 150 units a week, this should be stated upon booking and prior to arrival. We understand that this a very low allowance as we stayed at another 3 bedroom villa during the pool incident and their allowance was 50 units a day (reputable letting agent).
Not villa related but to be aware of.
Northern Cyprus has near daily power cuts
If you arrive in Southern Cyprus in the evening and hire a car itâs worth knowing that you cannot get insurance at the border until 8am and the only way across is by taxi, and your car insurance from the south will not cover you in the north, probably best to be met at the airport and hire a car in the north.
Thanks Bernard for having us in your villa. We spent great two weeks in Edremit. The villa is very spacious und well equipped. There was nothing to complain. Friendly neighbours, friendly and helpful contact person in Cyprus and short ways to Girne and the beach.
Thanks.
We had an amazing stay at villa Edremit and hope to come back again. The location/neighbourhood was perfect and so were the views from the villa. Very nice, homely villa.
The villa was fabulous! Great facilities and a lovely big pool. The location is good as long as you have car, restaurants etc are all close by. One great thing is the almost non existence of mosquitoes at night time. Sitting out in the evening was great!
The villa owner was really helpful and the management guy Steve was great and sorted everything out for us, I can't thank him enough. He was most helpful with figuring out the TV.
In terms of finding the villa, with a bit of help from the owner I flagged it on google maps and it took me straight to the door.
All in all a fab stay
Excellent views of both the mountains behind you or the sea view from the patio/swimming pool.. Restaurants are aplenty and nearby. Quiet and peaceful location..
