Exactly as listed. Wonderful little spot out of the hustle and bustle of town, but close to many activities. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this to others who are looking for a quiet relaxing getaway.
My husband and our toddler son and I had a great stay. There were toys for our son to play with and the cottage was so spacious. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect only being minutes from shopping and restaurants. We would stay again if in the area.
Couple on 4 day getaway enjoyed the comfort of a good bed and nice shower. We really did not utilized the kitchen much, but it is well stocked with all you need for any type of cooking. We stayed during a 3 day âheat waveâ but proximity to water and adequate fan power cooled the cottage down nicely.Close to great amenities in Boothbay and good restaurants on Southport Island.Definitely a great value and would book again
I rent in this area every year and this cottage was by far the most comfortable and "Maine - like" I've ever stayed in. The owner was super, and hands-on. I will definitely come back again.
My husband and I stayed at the cottage for a few days with our toddler son. The house was great for our needs and even closer to the main attractions in the area than I anticipated. Nice layout for having a 2 year old (no major childproof related concerns, doors that could close off sections of the cottage). Temperature in the cottage was comfortable for our stay in early June. No sheets or towels as indicated in the listing / by the host, so we brought our own. Would recommend to others!
Loved the quaintness and location, the smell of the sea air and the breeze was awesome. We love Maine and our visits there, this was a nice place in a great location.
The cottage met our needs... quiet surroundings by the water... casual interior spaces.... comfortable bed....near Boothbay and Botanical Gardens.. efficient kitchen... lots of windows.... short walk to Robinson's wharf
The cottage was quaint with nice wooded surroundings and was a convenient proximity to all things Booth Bay Harbor. My friend and I had a very lovely time and the property owners were easy to communicate with. Would recommend.
It was clean and out of the way of touristy Boothbay Harbor. I also like cooking so the Kitchen was perfect.
I kayaked Biked ate lobster and fish and visited Coastal Botanical Gardens
This cottage was very well equipped and relaxing, with multiple porches and rooms to chill out. We were very comfortable. The communication with the owner was fantastic. She quickly answered any questions that we had. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife, sister and I had a wonderful time in the Southport community and a fantastic stay in the cottage. The cottage, it was as if my 12-year-old self awakened in a dream full of warm comforting ambience and feeling at home. A perfect setting for we three.
This a comfortable cottage within a short drive of central Boothbay Harbor and itâs many shops and restaurants. Even better, it is well equipped so you can bring your fresh lobster dinner back with you from one of the many near by lobster pounds (do it yourself is always better).
Great communication with the owner if there are any questions. We would stay again.
Charming cottage that met all our needs. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very nicely decorated.
Great location with lighthouse and botanical gardens very close. Just one note that we read Reid Park as being just over 4 miles away it's actually over 40 miles.
The cottage was very comfortable and well-equipped. Portable heaters warmed it nicely in the evenings. While situated on a quiet road, it was convenient to everything we wanted to see.
This was the first time we had to pay for sheets, however. That was our only disappointment.
The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed.. good location and very quiet .. only thing we missed was an air conditioner..otherwise the fans were useful
We are a family of 4 that has fallen in love with the Boothbay Harbor area. When we bought our cottage, it needed a lot of work. Since my husband is a carpenter, we have been able to do most of the work ourselves. We spent many, many weekends remodeling, painting, plumbing, etc, including the year that we had it lifted and a foundation put under it. Our 2 two daughters have been very involved with creating our wonderful getaway, even when all they wanted to do was stay home with their friends. The four of us have put our hearts into our little Maine cottage with the hopes of it staying in our family for generations.
The reason we chose this cottage was, I'm pretty sure, by complete luck. We spent many years traveling to Portland and in 2000 we thought, what the heck, let's see if we can own a place in Maine. We drove to Boothbay and toured the area falling in love with it. We drove all over Southport, asking people if anyone they know was interested in selling a cottage. With no leads, we decided to subscribe to the local newspaper. In the very first issue we recieved, there was the listing we had dreamed of. The 4 of us packed up and drove to Maine 3 days later, bid against 4 other families and got our beautiful Cottage. From that day on, it has been our labor of love.
