Cottage mis à jour sur Water's Edge avec quai privé en eau profonde

Sur l'eau avec un quai privé en eau profonde - cet endroit ne peut pas être battu. Ce chalet est situé sur l'île de Southport, à cinq minutes en voiture de l'agitation du port de Boothbay. Il est perché sur le bord de Townsend Gut avec vue sur l'eau de chaque pièce. Vous pouvez facilement passer toute la journée à regarder le pont tournant ouvert et fermé pour les bateaux qui passent. Robinson's Wharf (le restaurant le plus populaire de l'île) est à quelques pas. Le chalet a subi une rénovation complète au début de 2018 et est prêt pour les visiteurs!
Le chalet dispose d'un plan d'étage ouvert avec la cuisine ouverte sur le salon. La grande chambre a 1 lit queen et une salle de bains attenante. Ce chalet pittoresque a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour des vacances tranquilles sur l'eau.
La propriété est magnifique avec un nouvel aménagement paysager professionnel et un grand espace pour les jeux de pelouse ou se prélasser sous les grands arbres tout en regardant les marées montantes et descendantes. Il y a aussi un quai pour ceux qui veulent amener leur bateau. Le quai est également un endroit idéal pour prendre un verre ou essayer d'attraper du maquereau. En été, vous entendez le bruit des voitures qui traversent le pont tournant.
L'île de Southport est à seulement 5 minutes en voiture du centre-ville de Boothbay Harbor, juste au-dessus du Townsend Gut Swing Bridge. Southport Island est assez proche de Boothbay mais a aussi ses propres restaurants et sites à voir. Robinson's Wharf, Oliver's et Newagen Inn sont des restaurants hautement recommandés sur l'île. Hendricks Head Beach est situé sur le côté ouest de l'île. La voile, le canotage et le kayak sont des activités spectaculaires dans et autour de l'île. Si vous voulez vous aventurer au large de l'île, la région du port de Boothbay possède de nombreux sentiers naturels, des lacs (Knicker Bocker Lake), du golf, un aquarium et l'un des meilleurs jardins botaniques du pays.

Well equipped, small, clean Maine cabin. Views from the LR and BR were great. Watched ospreys tend their nest on the bridge. Lots of ducks, seagulls, pigeons. Watched a lobster boat drop two traps right in front of the cabin. Easy walk to a great shock side restaurant.

The cottage was nice. Due to the weather we were forced to use the wall heaters. They were extremely difficult to control. It was either full blast (heat) or we had to shut them off.

Great stop on my adventure. Light and airy inside and exactly as shown in the pics. Great view from the yard and dock. Gorgeous views on my drive around the island, Boothbay Harbour and beyond.

Cute Lil Cottage on the Water

Absolutely loved the cottage, amenities, and views. The first day we arrived, it was chilly enough to need to heaters, which worked great. The rest of the time we utilized the AC units and fans, which also served us well. The views from every room are absolutely spectacular, and we also enjoyed sitting outside watching the boats and wildlife and eating dinner. It was also a quick drive to all of the Boothbay & Southport attractions. The only drawback, which the owners have no control over, was the construction on the bridge that is right next to the cottage. According to the Southport/Boothbay website, the construction was supposed to be finished by the time we arrived, but it was not. The round-the-clock, non-stop construction noise was pretty unpleasant (even with a nighttime sound machine), and the awaiting traffic was stopped just a stone’s throw away from the front door (on the other side of the fence). Overall, we loved the place but definitely wouldn’t stay there again until the bridge construction is completely finished.

Had a Wonderful Stay!

This is the second year we’ve stayed here and it was great! The bridge construction was noisy of course but fascinating to watch and the boat traffic is always entertaining. The grounds are beautiful and the cottage is lovely. Communication with the management was exceptional. We will be returning…😁

We loved staying at the cottage. It was clean and very comfortable. The setting is gorgeous, as close to the water as you can get. We would stay there again.

Cozy Maine Visit

The location is great; right in the middle of everything and easy access to town with great dining next door. We were surprised by the close proximity to the road when we arrived but it didn't bother us when we were inside. We loved watching the boats and birds around the bridge and felt the cottage was cozy. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our time there!

Lovely cottage at the waters edge

This cottage is very clean, bright and cheery. It was wonderful watching the swing bridge open and seeing all the boats going by. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Great Views

This little cottage is perfect for a couple looking to get away, and has the room for additional people on the pull down couch. You can’t beat the water view as you’re quite literally on the water. Complete with outdoor seating and a boat dock, it’s such a nice getaway.

Cottage on water's edge

We had a great stay! Used the fire pit one afternoon and just enjoyed the beautiful view of the water. We had one little problem that the hosts took care of very quickly. The house is next to a swing bridge. It was not operational while we were there because they were working on it. It didn't distract from the convenience or the beauty of the location for us. It's a small cabin but was good for two people. Visiting from Alabama.

Cute cottage with great views of the Gut

Cottage is adorable and functional. Walking distance to Robinson’s Seafood Restaurant. Kayak launch from their dock. Beautiful area for kayaking and osprey watching. Not a biking destination. Is below a noisy bridge from cars traffic as well as construction on bridge. (It’s only drawback.

Fantastic Honeymoon

Awesome property!! Just perfect! We loved watching the lobster boats and the bridge open for larger boats!!! The cottage was adorable and had everything you needed! Loved everything about Booth Bay!!! Book this house... you won’t be disappointed!!!

Adorable Cottage!

Cottage was adorable, location convenient to Boothbay Harbor and other local spots, especially Robinson's Restaurant. Clean and well furnished. Noise from bridge a bit annoying but never kept us awake - hopefully will be resolved when the bridge is worked on this year! Thank you!

As Advertised!

Perfect place for us! The location is a bit quirky being directly under a noisy swingbridge but we found it fun to watch and listen to and it didn’t bother us at all. The cottage is beautiful-and spotlessly clean-with great views from every room-and the grounds surrounding it are outstanding. It was a cozy environment with everything you need for a nice stay. Loved it.

The water views are incredible.

We enjoyed our time at this cottage and would have given it 5 stars however the living room furniture really is uncomfortable. The futon and side chair may be new but new doesn't mean comfortable.

On the water.

This is one of the more unique properties I’ve been on. Definitely had all the essentials. Small cabin right on the water. No back deck or yard but the view of the water and bridge was relaxing. Location was close to town. The grounds were clean and well kept. The cabin was fine for two. Would recommend for a couple on a carefree road trip.

Great place to watch the osprey and lobster boats

Clean and inviting cozy cottage, great views of the osprey nesting on top of the bridge, and gorgeous sunrises. The only issue was the directions for the TV….stated use HDMI 3. This did not exist. It needs to state use HDMI 1. The bridge noise did not bother us at all. We would stay here again.

Quaint Enjoyable Cottage

We had read reviews of the swing bridge noise, but we didn't find it annoying at all. In fact, there is an Osprey nest on top of the bridge that we enjoyed watching as the young birds were learning to fly and leave the nest. Easy access to Southport and Boothbay. Be careful exiting the driveway as the swing bridge operators park to the right of the exit. Very relaxing as we sat in the chairs outside watching the boats enter and exit the bay. Walking distance to Robinson's Wharf. Perfect size for a couple or a couple and young child.

cute cottage, fun location

Tiny space. Very inadequate kitchen supplies. Hard to find a pan to work with. Not a lot of choices. Microwave on top of frig!! Dangerous and hard to get out hot liquids and food. Fouton in living room VERY uncomfortable to sit on. Need a real sofa.

Not clean and needs better furniture

Not clean, bathroom smelled. View was great, the bridge noise was loud. Called the property manager with issues and got very little satisfaction. I would recommend keep on looking for the perfect rental this is not it.

Sweet stay on the water

This is a lovely little place very close to a great place for lunch and fantastic lobster rolls. Good parking and lovely lawn, with a picnic table and chairs for watching the boats go by. It is next to a draw bridge and the cars make some noise during the day/evening going over the bridge but it is relatively quiet later at night. The host is very responsive to any questions or concerns: I needed an iron to press clothes for a wedding and couldn’t find it. I contacted Kim and she responded right away. She hadn’t realized the iron was missing and a newly purchased iron was delivered to the cottage that day. Thank you Kim!

Charming cottage

We had a wonderful stay. The only reason for the 4 stars on the cleanliness aspect was because of the goose poop. We realize that's hard to control but we were so looking forward to going barefoot on the lawn and relaxing on the Adirondack chairs. The bridge noise didn't bother us at all. It became white noise and we enjoyed watching the bridge tender greeting the boats. We watched the I sorry on their best and saw a seal. Thank you for opening up your cottage. How about a lending library and favorite haunts?
