Villa With heated Private Pool(additional cost) & Sea View of whole of Funchal

3 bedrooms (1 is en suite), 1 bathroom upstairs toilet downstairs. Entrance is on top floor leading to bedrooms. Parking spaces for at least 2 cars. Kitchen with all essentials living/dining. Swimming pool (can be heated if required but this will be extra cost which is to be paid direct) BBQ area with table & chairs & sun lounges. No smoking in the villa.
We have 4 security cameras on the outside of the property protecting the entrances to the villa, Camera 1 is on the car park checking the gate, camera 2 is on the main door viewing the entrance to villa, camera 3 kitchen door looking to see who comes down the side stairs, camera 4 view to living room doors. These have been installed for your security and protection of the villa. The camera by the living room door is always turned towards the wall when there are guest for privacy- this is only turned when villa is vacate for our security.

Great house, great pool, great view

Our stay was great, the host very friendly and happy to help with recommendations, the view was amazing. Also the house is very big and offered everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor area with pool and sunbeds.

It was a nice villa in the mountains outside of Funchal we were greeted upon arrival and got a tour of the home. It was a very nice accommodation. My only thing was there was sometimes a sewage smell from the main bathroom. But we left the window open and it was able to get rid of it.

Beautiful house, clean and heavenly views. We used Bolt and taxis and were just fine. Cheaper than renting and less stresful. Driving in Madeira is not for north americans:) For kids, the pool was very handy. Warm water (August)

The villa was great and the beds very comfortable. The pool was lovely and warm without heating. There was a bit of a fusty smell in the living area, which was particularly unpleasant in some of the kitchen cupboards. On the whole we had a great werk

The house is very well arranged with the bedrooms on the first floor, the living room, and the kitchen on the ground floor. The view from the garden over Funchal is very beautiful. And it's refreshing to cool off in the pool. Perfect for our week of vacation in Madeira. Thank you Carlos.

Property with a view

We had a comfortable time in this property, with a spectacular view over Funchal. A car is essential for supermarket shopping and visiting other locations, however the 33 bus to the Marina is perfect to see the old city, travel the cable car, or out for a meal. The bus stop is 100m from the property. The pool was a perfect temp in July and the facilities were as described.

A Perfect Stay in Madeira

The vila was absolutely perfect. Its location couldn't have been better, offering stunning surroundings. The outdoor kitchen was a gem that we made great use of, providing a beautiful spot to unwind in the evenings. Communication with the landlady was excellent and accommodating, making our experience seamless. The check-in process and brief introduction were top-notch. If we return, this house would undoubtedly be our first choice.

Lovely Sao Goncalo Home with Extraordinary View

The home is truly lovely with bedrooms up & living areas down and spectacular outdoor area with a view of Funchal, par-excellence! Appointments and kitchen needs signal a home loved and attended to with great taste. The owner was responsive to a need that arose, and her neighborhood assistant was exceptional and skilled. Our only concern was an odor that began in kitchen and advanced during our stay to master bath apparently through the septic system, so much that the bathroom became unusable. After the neighborhood assistant's confirmation of the problem, owner replied that the problem could only be adequately addressed when guests were no longer on site. Although I do agree with that conclusion given the potential extent of the repair needed, I was very disappointed that owner offered us no compensation given that an essential bathroom in the property was unusable. I would still appreciate such consideration. Also I love the property enough that I would stay again ( indeed) if the repair was confirmed and my original stay was readdressed. ( Note: that's only reason I rated Cleanliness as Disappointing. The rest of property's cleanliness was most satisfactory and very clean. )

Une semaine exceptionnelle

La maison est vraiment super. La vue est vraiment exceptionnelle! L'exposition de la terrasse est idéale avec le soleil dès 10h pour des petits déjeuners en extérieur. La maison est très propre et très bien équipée. Rien ne manque. Sa localisation est idéale pour atteindre Funchal ou pour acceder rapidement aux routes principales. Environnement très calme. Très bonne communication avec l'hôte. Nous sommes ravis.

Très confortable et vue magnifique

La maison est parfaite et la vue merveilleuse. Le seul petit point négatif est qu'elle est assez en altitude et lors de notre séjour, les nuages ont réduit la percée du soleil à plusieurs reprises. Ceci a rendu la piscine assez froide. Mais ceci n'a pas impacté notre plaisir.

Très belle maison dans les hauteurs de Funchal

Nous avons été très bien reçus par Marco. La prise en main a été rapide et simple. Maison dans les hauteurs de Funchal avec une splendide vue sur la ville et son Port. Nous avons largement profité de la cuisine d'été avec son barbecue. Située en ville dans un quartier calme, au dessus la voie rapide, il y a certes un bruit de fond mais qui reste léger et largement compensé par la situation de la maison, la qualité des équipements et la vue. Idéalement placée nous avons visité l'ile de long en large et fait plusieurs randonnées. Nous avons également profité de soirées en centre ville accessible en 15 minutes en voiture (le plus difficile reste de se garer). C'est sans hésitation que nous relouerions cette villa !

Vue exceptionnelle sur Funchal et l’océan

Villa propre et très spacieuse. L’extérieur est top et bien équipé avec une vue exceptionnelle sur Funchal de jour comme de nuit. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine, des hamacs, transats, salons de jardin et nous avons profité du pool house pour nos repas ainsi que du barbecue à bois. A 4 minutes en voiture, n’hésitez pas à aller au golf pour taper quelques balles… Très bon accueil par Marco 👏. Nous recommandons.

My parents were both born in Madeira but they both came to the Island of Jersey in the English Channel back in the early sixties. I was born in Jersey along with my sister & Brother and was educated in Jersey. I am married and have a daughter and a son, my husband was brought up in Madeira. I love to travel and did a bit of travelling through Asia in 1999 - 2000.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My parents are from the Island, and majority of my family are there. My husband was brought up in Madeira and would like to retire there, this is why we bought the property but until we retire we would like to share the experience of our beautiful villa and the beautiful island of Madeira with others so that you can experience what Madeira has to offer.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

One of the best attraction that the villa has which we enjoy when we go over and a few of our guests have also mentioned is that it is in a very peaceful area and you can sit at the bottom of the garden with a drink and enjoy the wonderful view of Funchal - because of how high the villa is situated.
