La villa est située dans de beaux jardins et est entourée de terrasses extérieures. à l'arrière de la maison se trouve un espace privé avec jacuzzi et à l'avant une piscine très bien aménagée. L'intérieur de la villa est très bien meublé et une nouvelle cuisine ultra moderne a été installé récemment. Tout le salon sont lumineuses et spacieuses et chaque chambre a son propre thème de couleur. La chambre principale a un lit à baldaquin, une salle de bains et un balcon.

La villa est située à 5 minutes de Fornells qui a un petit port et de nombreux bons magasins et restaurants. La villa est également proche des écoles locales de voile et de planche à voile.

Beautiful property with gorgeous pool

We spent a very happy week at this lovely house. The pool was the main reason we booked the property and it did not disappoint! We also appreciated the indoor and outdoor space available. The house is conveniently located for the supermarket and the beach so we barely used our hire car. Our hosts Penny and Ellie were very welcoming and ensured we had a good visit. I would highly recommend.

A lovely Spanish villa with fantastic pool and grounds!

A very pretty and lovely villa, well equipped, close to walk to some great restaurants and supermrket. Pool fantastic and also shaded bbq/eating area. Beautiful sunsets from the front terrace! Built on a hill so, as the description says, there are steps but the views are worth it!The owner, Penelope, and Ellie, the local lady both really helpful and friendly all the way through from booking to the end...! Fantastic villa situated in a beautiful part of Menorca

A large and well presented villa with plenty of room and facilities. Location is perfect for nearby restaurants, a superb small and fairly quiet beach, and handy supermarket. Plenty of bus routes around the island.

Menorca summer 2024

Lovely villa overlooking the sea

Casa Lavanda is a charming villa on a hillside overlooking the community of Platges de Fornells and the sea below. There are many excellent beaches nearby and a number of excellent restaurants in Platges and the nearby town of Fornells. The many outdoor spaces made the villa ideal for groups of 4 to 6 people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A beautiful peaceful location. Half an hour lovely walk over the rocks into Fornells or the bus takes 10 mins. No need to go anywhere though as the house and pool is a great place to chill out and lovely restaurants and bar within walking distance. Fab holiday!

Great place to enjoy and to explore the island

This is a great place to enjoy the place itself and as a base camp to explore the island. Sunsets are beautiful from the deck. Penelope and Ellie were always checking out necessities. Even when the microwave didn’t work next day we had a new one. I would recommend it.

HUGE recommendation for this villa! We are a family of 7; two adults and 5 teenagers and there was ample space for us all. The pool is a great size, the bedrooms in the villa are all a good size, the kitchen is well-equipped, the lounge is big and there were enough bathrooms for all of us. Ellie, who looks after the villa, was so friendly and helpful. The villa is in a great spot, close to supermarkets and restaurants. The resort is quiet which worked perfectly for us. You can walk to the beach (not the prettiest but good to hire pedallos and SUPs) and also rocky coves for snorkelling. Because it is a tourist resort, the supermarket is pretty pricey so if you are hiring a car, shop in the bigger towns. No need to bring floaties, the supermarket sell loads and they are weirdly cheap!The villa doesn't have aircon and the weather was up to 34 degrees during our holiday. But it really didn't bother us......you can jump in the pool at 1am if you are feeling warm!We would thoroughly recommend the villa - we really had a fantastic stay!

A lovely villa for a short end of summer stay

The villa was well maintained and had everything we (my wife and I and our 9-year old daughter) would require for a fairly last-minute 5-day stay at the end of the season to lap up the last few rays before winter. The beach is c. 10-minutes walk (or 2 minutes drive) away, you will need a car to get to most restaurants however. The property had a fabulous BBQ which we made best of too. An special note for Penny and Ellie who manage the property; they were fantastic, very attentive and offered some great suggestions around restaurants, places to visit etc.

Lovely villa with great pool. Few issues throughout the week some sorted some not. Did have a problem with rats which put us off using the outside furniture. Hopefully this will have been dealt with once we left.

A wonderful villa in a super location with stunning views. Penelope is the perfect host, from my initial enquiry to returning home Penelope was on hand to check we had arrived safely, offering advise on restaurants, local markets and booking tables at some super restaurants. The villa was very comfortable and well equipped, we particularly enjoyed the numerous outside spaces to sit and enjoy a morning coffee through to an evening cocktail. The pool area is first class with sunbeds and parasols and the added bonus of the outside jacuzzi. We found the outside shower room practically useful with the large shower. The location is ideal with numerous restaurants and a mini supermarket within walking distance. Cala Tirant beach is a great option which didn't feel busy, we enjoyed lunch at the Xiringuito beach bar as well as Okapi restaurant. A wonderful holiday enjoyed by all!

A wonderful place to stay

The villa is luxurious and feels more like a home than a holiday rental. Right from the start the booking process was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Any queries were answered by Penny immediately. We were a family of adults and had several other friends staying nearby. Ours was undoubtedly the best villa. There are several areas outside to sit in as well as very comfortable sofas inside. The kitchen is very well equipped We had incredibly hot weather and would not have survived without the pool although air conditioning would have been welcome. There is a lot to do and good places to eat in the area but I wound definitely recommend having a car. There are a lot of good beaches to drive to although the island was very busy when we were there and you definitely need to get to the beach very early or late to get a good parking space at this time of year. To get to one beach now (Macarella) you now need to get a bus from Ciutadella. We enjoyed snorkelling off the rocks below the villa and Tirant beach is within walking distance. Okapi bar, the Cactus and La Franola all great for eating out within walking distance. Thank you Penny for a lovely stay.

Fabulous stay in a beautiful villa

We’ve just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at this villa with 3 children 9, 8 and 5. The villa is as shown and if anything doesn’t give full justice to the size of the pool which was perfect for 3 children to play around in and for us to do lengths; or to the view which in the evening is beautiful with the sea and the sun setting over the ridge line. We found the location ideal although we did have a hire car as we wanted to see the island, do water sports in Fornells and do proper food shops at the main, cheaper supermarkets in Mahon. Don’t be put off by it being off the road and near other villas, it was so quiet and peaceful and a perfect retreat from visiting the busier resorts. If you don’t get a hire car you’re within easy walking distance (a couple of minutes) of a small but well stocked supermarket, several restaurants (don’t miss out on Okapi which was superior to every other restaurant we tried around the island in both service and food!), a splash park and beach (about 10 mins). The villa is spacious and you’re spoilt for choice of seating areas We valued having shaded options when the heat picked up and the parasols to cover some of the pool. Bedrooms are very comfortable with decent fans. There were many small touches that made this villa ideal. Parasols were provided for the beach and a fully equipped utility room and external shower. To note - many steps on property and no very shallow section of pool though neither issue for us. Wonderful villa!

Beautiful, spacious villa in a great location

We were four adults and one toddler staying at the villa in June 23. With four average sized bedrooms and the spacious living area there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area was very comfortable and stayed reasonably cool during the day. There are fans for every room - but no air-conditioning. The grounds are amazingly large. The star item is the large pool which was cleaned regularly. We loved the terrace outside the living room which had comfy chairs and a table with great views. The BBQ area was also a lovely outdoor place to sit and relax. The whirlpool at the back was a real hit with our family. Penny had a new shower room/wc put in at the back with access from the outside which we found useful. There are a lot of steps within the grounds and a few even within the house although there is no up-stairs. It was a bit tricky for our toddler. It meant we had to watch her all the time. The location is brilliant with a few restaurants and a supermarket just minutes walk away. We loved the Isabella restaurant in a stunning sea-front location. A bonus were beach towels which can save you a lot of room in your suitcase. There are two sandy beaches close by. The smaller one is about 10 minutes walk away and has a beach restaurant and the bigger one involves quite a number of steps over the cliffs but it is worth it. Altogether we loved our stay at the villa and resort and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Penny.

Retour à fornells en famille

Village sublime dans une villa parfaite. Emplacement, options, tout est reuni pour profiter au mieux de l'île Piscine geniale pour profiter en attendant que tout le monde soit prêt et en rentrant d'excursions.

Belles expériences

Belles expériences à Fornells. La maison est très spatieuse et la propriétaire très à l'écoute. Le seul problème étant l'absence d'une installation de climatisation dans la maison. Je recommande tout de même.

We live in London and at the weekends go to our home in Suffolk.. I am in the film business and my husband is a lawyer. We have been going to Menorca for the past 25 years and we bought this house in 1995. We have furnished the house for ourselves rather than the rental market and we feel that is is a very comfortable home with beautiful gardens.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We are both very well travelled and when we first went to the island we fell in love immediately with the beauty of Menorca and the fact that it was so unspoilt. Even after 20 years we feel that this is a very special place and are very happy that building of any high rise properties is forbidden and that the whole island retains its individuality over main land Spain and it continues to be a very special place. Even in high season, one can escape into remote areas and many of the beaches are very safe and not too crowded... Restaurant offer good value for money for families and the sports facilities are excellent.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The property is well furnished and very comfortable and is 5 minutes walk for the local supermarket and some very good eating places. The Gardens are very well tended throughout the year and there is a great terrace for evening dining where one can be totally secluded... The pool is a good size and there is also a jacuzzi at the back that seats at least 4 people... there are a number of terraces around the house and for those who want shade throughout the day this is not a problem.We have recently installed an additional shower area together with a dressing area and small study in a small separate annexe to the main house at the back of the property.
