Colfax Cottage est situé en dehors du Beachwalk Resort, à quelques pas de la plage de Sheridan et deviendra rapidement votre chez-vous. Les 3 chambres peuvent accueillir confortablement jusqu'à 6 personnes. La suite principale est située au premier étage avec une salle de bain attenante attenante de 3/4, une chambre avec lit queen au deuxième niveau avec une salle de bain attenante de 3/4 et une chambre double située également au deuxième étage. niveau, avec un bain complet ci-joint. Le niveau principal accueille également une demi-salle de bain autonome supplémentaire pour une utilisation partagée. L'espace de vie ouvert avec cuisine complète et de nombreux sièges pour dîner ou se détendre au coin du feu fait de Colfax Cottage un lieu de prédilection. L'intérieur de cette maison n'est pas la seule grande partie de cette location, ouvrez les portes du pont et entrez dans un tout autre espace de vie! Ce grand espace de pont sert de salon familial en plein air avec des sièges, des tables et un grill.

Colfax Cottage, offre un grand parking dans la rue pour 3 véhicules, ce qui peut être assez difficile à trouver dans une communauté de plage. L'accès à la plage est à quelques pas, à seulement quelques minutes en voiture du zoo de Washington Park, de la marina et du phare. Les restaurants et les bars sont également à une courte distance en voiture, tout comme les magasins d'usine.
N'oubliez pas que Michigan City propose également des vergers pour la cueillette de pommes ou de bleuets, un quartier des arts chargé d'antiquités et de petits magasins familiaux.
Pour ceux d'entre vous qui aiment passer du temps loin des enfants, le casino Blue Chip propose des restaurants, une discothèque et un spa à service complet. New Buffalo propose également des visites de vignobles tout au long de la semaine.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Recommend including a pic looking directly from door toward house that is between lake and Colfax Cottage. Otherwise, pics are a bit deceiving as they leave the impression that there is an unobstructed view from the door, rather than a big house. Thank you for supplying firewood. In off season, consider stocking as a routine courtesy. Door lock was problematic but mgmt and maintenance were very responsive.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were satisfied overall but have a few complaints. The TVs were inoperable because there were no batteries in the remote so at 8:45pm we drove out to the gas station (come to find out it closes at 9pm). We tried calling the phone number and no one answered. The deck furniture is missing despite what it shows in the picture on the listing. 2 out of 3 rows in the grill did not light (probably clogged). The deck faces the front of another house, which doesn't feel private. The upstairs mattresses are very firm, my friends found them to be uncomfortable. The only view is of houses closely situated all around you. The place was quite clean though.

Great cottage next to lake

Would recommend! Perfect budget friendly cottage for a stay next to the beach. We loved the beach wagon provided. However no beach chairs or beach towels, so bring your own. Quick drive into new Buffalo to check out Michigan.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First off- we LOVE the Colfax Cottage. We've been staying every year for the last few years. I have ZERO complaints but do have feedback. The place needs a bit of an update. The rugs in the bathroom need a good washing, the blankets have stains, the guest blanket has a huge rip in it. The light bulbs dont all work. I honestly love it so much though that i couldn't bring myself to complain about it while we were there. It just needs a little more love. When we go for two weeks we try to keep it very clean but there isn't a vacuum. Yes there is in the closet but to be honest, it is worthless. It doesn't even pick up sand. I asked the cleaner mid week and she agreed.

Kitchen refrigerator wasn’t working properly so your food got wet. The master shower had mold on the tile. You are paying for location so that part was amazing. Needed cleaned up and a few things taken care of . Over all not a bad experience just not what I expected for $3k a week

A Fabulous Place to Stay

I totally loved the experience. The house was perfect. My husband and I slept on the mainfloor and my daughter and her family slept upstairs. We were close to the beach and our deck was very private. I plan on renting that same cottage every summer indefinitely. It was wonderful!

Perfect friends weekend

We had a great time staying here for a long weekend. The location was perfect and the house was very comfortable. With a couple exceptions it was very clean. We would highly recommend this rental.

We stayed two nights in this darling cottage which was just the right size. It was very clean and decorated with a beachy theme. (There was a maintenance problem, which Beachwalk offered to take care of immediately. But it was fine with us to wait until after we checked out. It did not interfere with our stay in the least.) We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Colfax Cottage was Amazing!

This property was very spacious and clean. The proximity to the beach was very convenient. Everything was wonderful, and my family would love to come back next summer!

I emails a couple of questions before our arrival and received responses within a few hours. Unfortunately, the beach near the house was closed due to Covid. Fortunately the Dunes National and State Parks were nearby and were open (with limited visitors). I would like to go back after Covid when everything is open again.

Great time away

Two gentlemen were cleaning the deck and grill as we were moving in. they were so, so kind. because they were giving us our space, I think they maybe didn't check the lights inside. There were several lights with bulbs that didn't work. it was no big deal though. we made it just fine; we could have called the office if it was a bother. also the lock on the main door almost had us locked out once. other than those minor things, we had a fabulous time. The beds were wonderful. Thank you for an opportunity to rest and get away.
