We had a great time! We were two families (though the property could have easily taken more) getting away after so many months at home, and this was exactly what we wanted. Plenty of space for the kids to run around, the pool was great, loads of space inside the house, the grounds were amazing (made for a great game of hide and seek) and Kelly and Tony were great hosts.
Dear Kelly, we came 2 families to your amazing chĂąteau, beautiful place with all what we needed. The chĂąteau is surrounded with beautiful nature, amazing garden, farm with animals for the kids and all the facilities that families need for perfect holiday. The swimming pool was clean, we had many beautiful rooms, and the kitchen was equipped with even more then we needed . We recommend to come to your place, and we hope to come again . Thank you so much for everything, you were available for us to every question and we hope to see you again in the future!!!
This was my second time staying at the chateau and it is one of my favorite places to visit! The house is perfect, the rooms are spacious, and the property is beautiful! Kelly is the best! Loved making bonfires by the pond, and feeding the horses. There are many towns a short drive away where you can find everything you need! Would definitely visit again this place is amazing!!!
The property is beautiful and easy to get to!! Close to many Normandie destinations, but a great place to stay during the say as well. Great place and great trip
What a wonderful place to spend time with good friends! We cooked in the well equipped kitchen and on the BBQ, had a wine tasting, went for walks, antiquing, lunches out, several of the Normandy sites... I could go on! We loved our relaxing visit and maybe next year the husbands can come! Thank you for sharing your warm home with us! Linda D.
Felt the need to write a review that is long overdue! My girlfriends and I (small group of 6) have gone many times over the last decade. The Chateau is a historic, french country home with ample space for all of us. It is as though you have stepped back into a simpler place and time. This is to me its biggest charm. It allows our group to connect with each other, which is one of the reasons we have gone back time and tiime again. The locals are frinedly and inclusive, which adds so much to the experience. My poor attempts to speak french are greeted warmly. There are so many amazing sites. Omaha beaches are a must. Unbelieveable and very moving! Also love Cancale where you sit on the beach and eat all the oysters you can. Lots of great towns close by with great shopping and historical sites. Love Coutances and Granville. The weekends briing great markets and massive town yard sales (like nothing you have ever seen) . The hunt to find great gifts to bring back to the states for only a euro or 2 makes for a fun day. The sausage baguette is breakfast...can never get enough of those. YUM!! They are at every market and town sale. The real charm is staying at the house at the end of the day. We always dine out for lunch but dinner at the house infront of the massive fireplace keeps us warm all night long.
Do make plans for a car, as you will need it. If you want a driver and tour guide, that is also available. Contact the owner, who can give you ample names for driving, catering and other services. I have done both. First time there, I recommend driver so you sit back, relax and take in the sites. Beautiful country! If you feel the need to dance, only 5 minutes away is (in the middle of a field) a disco. Its a hoot....always fun stories to share later.
Normandy is truly one of my favorite places in Europe. So much to see and this place is charming and unique.....always a good time.

We had the best time in Normandy at this completely authentic French chateau. Location is perfect for seeing all the tourist spots in Normandy and exploring all the surrounding towns. The house itself is so beautiful -- built in the 1600s and all its charm preserved.
Kelly was so helpful before and during our stay, and we look forward to returning here on our next trip!
The property is gorgeous and the house even more so. While we spent quite a bit of time exploring different things in and around Normandy we also found ourselves spending hours on the property itself.
When we return to France we will be stopping by Normandy if for no other reason than to stay here. Thank you Mrs. Corbett for a fantastic experience and being so helpful prior to and during our time in this beautiful home!
Hidden down a private drive. This jewel is nestled behind a guard wall and opens onto pastoral views and a pond. The chateau is magnificent and its setting only adds to its grace. The interior tells of 400 years of history, Stone walls, magnificent fireplaces, spiraling staircases and salons, hidden wine caves and quiet libraries.. However the owners have made it warm and homey. There is an up dated kitchen....as well as updated baths and six cozy bedrooms. Large manor windows open to the breezes and the amazing vistas. Truly a place you could never leave. But then you would miss the quaint restaurants and bars. Le Mont St Michel, Coutances, The DDay Beaches, St Lo, The Bayeux Tapestry and Granville. I have visited Normandy and the chateau on numerous occasions and never tire of the experience. Open air markets with fresh produce, cheese, shell fish and meats which makes your mouth water. Ancient towns are nestled along the sea each with a view worthy of enjoying over a cold bier or French wine.
I could go on and on ....a fabulous home with the added bonus of a guest house. This slice of heaven is perfect for a family reunion...a wedding or a retreat. ,
Reprends moi!!!!!!!
Fabulous! That's the best way to describe a stay at this chateau and its surroundings. The chateau was everything we had hoped: authentic, clean, well appointed, elegant and charmingly decorated with Norman antiques and artifacts and beautifully landscaped. Picking herbs from the kitchen garden, afternoon swims in the pool, early morning walks in the quiet countryside, late nights by the fire pit or in the chateau "pub"....these are memories we'll treasure forever. Once we managed to tear ourselves from the chateau, we visited the WWII landing beaches, Mt St Michelle, Bayeux, Granville, Cancale, Caen.. all located within driving distance. Great choice for couples or families. We will definitely return!!
Wonderful home and property...couldn't have asked for more! Left the kids at home and took three other couples for the week. Out in the countryside but the drive to Granville is convenient and beautiful. For all the history buffs...the WWII beaches are 45 minutes away. Home is filled with wonderful books and antiques as well as all the required amenities. The woman who is available to cook during a stay was super warm and her cooking was outstanding! Wonderful time at a magnificent chateau in the Normandy countryside!
This was the trip of a lifetime and we felt as though we actually were living the life of a country French family. The roaring fire in the fireplace each night at dinner, opening the window in the kitchen each morning as we enjoyed breakfast, the grounds surrounding the home, the deep reds and greens of the ivy and hydrangeas in fall, the horses and cows in the fields were all part of the allure. The comfortable family room was an excellent place to relax at the end of busy days. And the guys watched as much of Band of Brothers that they could fit in (there's a great video library).
The location in Normandy makes day trips to Mont St Michelle, D-Day beaches and the ocean so easy.
Columbe, the housekeeper/chef/welcoming party, made us the most wonderful dinners. She is a delight.
We hope to return one day and will if at all possible!
