Boule, crocket , and out door dinning in the the cool of the evening
thank you Jackie.
There were 14 of us plus dog in our family group, ages ranged from 8 weeks to 70 years and the house suited us all with a large comfortable sitting room and great dining area that sat us all. The furnishings are comfortable, but not precious so we could relax with children about. Equipment is comprehensive with all you need, except one or two fans would have been welcome on one very hot night. Large outdoor area with two meadows and small garden. Fencing is two wires and no gate on the drive, so not fully secure for young children or dogs. Good outdoor furniture, but no loungers. A lot of trees so not easy to find sunny spots early morning and evenings but we did enjoy eating most of meals at the large outdoor tables.
Our favourite beach was Le Petit Kairon, near Granville, about 40 minutes drive. Good walks at Abbaye de Hambye. Good walking for the dog in the forest at St. Sever. Food at Cafe de Gare in Percy was great.
We were most impressed with the French health service when the baby had to spend two and a half days in hospital in St. Lo with a, thankfully mild, dose of Viral Meningitis.
Booking the house and ferry were made easy by the prompt and friendly advice from Jackie. We were met on arrival by the caretaker with everything clean and in good order. Three sets of keys, so sensible!
Definitely a house to be considered for large family holidays.
We had a great time in this very spacious, well equipped and wonderful house.
The house has everything you could wish for. It is very clean, has great beds, a spacious kitchen, two living areaâs, bikes, and is well equipped for over 10 persons. It even has Google home.
We had a great time and went to Mont St. Michel and the landing beaching of WWII.
The communication with Jackie was quick and clear.
We would love to come back to see the rest of the area.
Thank you
From the start, Jackie was an excellent host. The registration thru VRBO was seamless, including when we needed to add an extra day. The online description is accurate, but the place is so much more. We had everything we needed and plenty of space for 11 of us to not trip over each other. There was a problem with the WiFi a few days before our arrival, and Jackie scrambled to have it repaired before our arrival. The replacement was a little slow and only worked on the ground floor, but was not a problem. Having a washer and dryer was a real bonus and very much appreciated. We were primarily in Normandy to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. The landing beaches and the towns where our father fought were an hour away, but St Lo and Le Mont St Michel were close, so it worked out. The town of Percy had everything we thought we needed and then some. I would definitely stay with Jackie again.

Val was waiting for us at the house, we received a very good explanation thanks to Val. the house has everything to spend a nice holiday and a good base for exploring the region, a good choice for us we had a great time. Greeting Geert
Beautiful house with great space for our group of 11(4 adults and 7kids). Central location for D-day beaches and Mont St Michel. Delicious bred and cheese on the table at arrival. Thanks for the great hospitality.
All was perfect
From the kitchen equipment to the soap in the bathroom nothing is missing
We were very impressed by the transformations of this house
The only problem is no toilet downstair (difficult for a disabled person)
Be carefull there are two places with the same name and the GPS give the wrong address
Lovely location, clean and well maintained, owners did a very good meet and greet, ensuring that we were made welcome they gave clear instructions as to where and how everything worked even providing advice to the best local restaurants which I must say turned out to be better than any other dining experience I've had whilst in France having been quite a few times previously, so no mean feat. Cycling was excellent with a couple of routes provided by the owners, roads and weather were perfect even though out of season, good bike storage and washing/airing facilities for drying your kit. All in all, very clean (wish I could have the same cleaner at home) very comfortable and very spacious. Cannot recommend this property highly enough, multi functional whether for a family holiday or a group of friends, will definitely be returning. :-)

Two family's husband and wife Jackie and Tim and our long-term friend Phil. All three of us live in London, and Tim and Phil work together. The three of us bought the house together in 2007, after many great family holidays in the area, we finally decided to chip in all our resources and buy together. The house is over three hundred years and had to be fully restored, so while we wanted to keep the character, we wanted a clean modern feel inside. With Love and a lot of hard work, we got there. We now let the house out for any weeks we are not using it and are happy to have the same guest returning over and over.
The house is in a semi rural location with a 15-minute walk to the nearest village. Perfect area for walking the dogs, or if you are into your history you have the fascinating D/Day beaches and of course the amazing Mont St Michele, all within an hours drive.
