This is our fourth or fifth stay at this house. We keep coming back year after year, because we have such an amazing time in Fairhope and love staying at Rhonda and Danâs cozy little cottage. The neighborhood and the neighbors are all so nice. I enjoy taking a walk down to the bay each evening with my dog and watching the sunset. I 100% recommend this home and this town as a lovely place to visit and stay!
Had a great stay, Great communication, close to town, and house exactly as described. One of the nicer VRBO's we've stayed in . Thanks so much for having us!
The house was clean, bright, and comfortable. So nicely appointed! And I LOVED how convenient it was to walk down to the bluff each morning and evening. We loved our daily walks through the beautiful neighborhoods to see the sunsets! Checkin was easy, and communication with my host was prompt and pleasant. Highly recommend!
This is our third year spending the winter months in this wonderful home away from home. We love everything about it: location, beautiful live oaks, access to parks, downtown anrea and bike trail, etc. The Henderson are great hosts! Highly recommend!
This is our second year spending winter in Fairhope at this awesome house in the perfect location! We've already booked for next winter. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a great house near all the best of Fairhope. The hosts Dan and Rhonda are the best as well! We've come to think of this is our second home. :-)
This rental is in a beautiful neighborhood. The cottage has been remodeled with new appliances. The city of Fairhope is quite charming and the locals are very friendly. The weather was fantastic. Overall just a great experience.
This cottage was perfect for our stay. The well-kept yard with giant old tree in the front give that wonderful combination of calm and excitement when you first pull in the drive. The bright and updated interior when you first walk in the door give that wonderful feeling of knowing you've made a good choice.
The cottage was very clean and well appointed. It had the convenience of key staples to get us started (i.e., soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, basic spices, hair dryer). The living room furniture with reclining chairs and generous couch were very comfortable. To add to our cozy nights in, there were plenty of extra blankets.
For those who want to cook, you have what's needed in pots, pans, utensils, & basic small appliances. We cooked several meals, running into no problems and having a good cooking experience.
The location is fantastic. We enjoyed walking (about a half mile) to the bay for sunset. It's a straight shot to the park, where you can enjoy a bench or go down to the sandy beach by the water. This park has a paved path with tree cover for a stroll or exercise. Also, we either walked or drove into downtown (about a mile I believe) for wonderful meals. Bay Breeze and Locals are two favorites. Just a bit further out are Sunflower Cafe & Sunset Pointe, which are also favorites of ours.
The storage shed has bikes as well as two wonderful reclining chairs for the back yard. The hosts were very accommodating. I highly recommend them and this cottage.
My wife and I stayed the month of January. The house was very close to the bay and met all our expectations for cleanliness and suitablity. The kitchen had pretty much all you need for cooking. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very nice. The fenced back yard was ideal for our dogs. We would love to stay here again.
House is in a wonderful location. Neighbors are very nice. Just a short walk to the bay, to town, to the Dragonfly food bar, the Grand Hotel, and many other noteworthy locations. I am a walker and loved being able to walk to so many different places. House is small but comfortable. Newly remodeled bathroom is awesome! Dan and Rhonda are wonderful hosts, very easy to communicate with .
This is a very nice older home that has been redone recently. It is in a great neighborhood close to the city park on Mobile Bay. It is about a mile from downtown and an easy walk if one is up to it. Fairhope has a number of great restaurants and plenty of things to do. Weâd come back again in a heartbeat.
Loved our 3 month stay at this lovely home located in the best area of Fairhope! Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, felt like a home away from home. Located just a few blocks from the bay, parks and bike path. Close to downtown and restaurants. The Hendersonâs (owners) were great and very easy to communicate with. Weâve already booked our stay for next winter.! đWill miss watching the beautiful sunsets over the bay.
We had a wonderful stay in Fairhope. Fun shopping, excellent restaurants, great visits with friends and family. House was well stocked with everything we needed. Furnishings very comfortable and neighborhood charming and friendly. Only negative for us was that it was a little farther from town and Fairhope Pier than we anticipated and golf cart was not available, but one could be rented from Dealer in town. We opted to rent car instead. We are retired, so younger tenants may not have issue. Our favorite time was spent sitting in front yard under magnificent Oak Tree which shaded the entire yard and having morning coffee and afternoon glass of wine. Very close to the Bay to watch evening sunsets. Will go again.
The cottage was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and spotless. We love the neighborhood. A very short walk and you are at the bay to enjoy beautiful sunsets. A few blocks in the other direction and you can enjoy all that the lovely town of Fairhope has to offer. Loved that magnificent tree in the front yard!
This has to be one of the best short term rentals in Fairhope. The house is in the fruit and nut district, a neighborhood of homes of an assortment of architectural styles, all very well maintained and cared for. Our house was a short 3 blocks to the bay, public docks, and a walking trail. The rooms in the house are all spacious. Even more importantly, the rooms all have comfortable furniture! The living room has 2 comfy chairs and a large sofa-- also comfy. The larger of the 2 bathrooms is really large with a super nice walk in shower. Lots of hot water and great water pressure. The interior of the house has fresh paint in a stylish color. All new appliances and a well stocked kitchen. Huge white fluffy towels and washcloths. I sat out on the front porch and read just about every afternoon. The sun was shaded by the gigantic live oak tree. It was easy to communicate with the owners and it was an easy no-contact check in and check out. We loved our stay in Fairhope and we loved everything about this house. It was just perfect!
The home was close to perfect. The furniture is new and comfortable especially the beds, which is really appreciated because we stayed for 1 whole month. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The location was great I walked everywhere, to town and many times down to the water to watch the sunset. The home would be perfect with comfy chairs on the front porch or a sitting area in the back yard. I look forward to staying again at this home next year.
I had a really good trip staying in Fairhope and specifically at this house! Dan and Rhonda are so kind and very quick to respond! I'd definitely recommend this place and when I come back to this part of the country, I'd love to be here again!
We enjoyed our stay in this recently remodeled home in the Fruit and Nut section of town. Easy walking access to downtown or Mobile Bay make this an ideal location. We would stay here again.
