This newly renovated, three bedroom home, is bright with inviting Decour and very comfortably furnished. Just a short walk from picturesque downtown Fairhope. The great room opens onto an ultra modern fully equipped kitchen and bar . There is a convenient desk for working remotely, a cozy fireplace with a new pull out sofa bed. Two of the bedrooms feature a queen size bed and a king in the master. Plenty of closet room! Both sparkling bathrooms are freshly tiled and have new fixtures including a full body spray shower in the master. Set on a attractive lot in a quiet cul-de-sac. The home also has a back patio with a comfortable outdoor furniture and grill. Vacationing with others? Consider the recently renovated two bedroom âSilo House â next door for additional guests. Sleeps 4+ a fold out twin bed. Ask for details!
Great house in heart of town. On a nice quite cups a sac. The owners were very helpful. The house amenities like the bed and shower were extremely comfortable. Great living area and kitchen. The interior feels like it was updated recently. I worked remote all week and the internet was fast and reliable. Would recommend this house to literally anyone! Great spot!
Lovely home away from home. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Primary bed was very comfortable and bathroom was very nice. AC did struggle to stay cool during the day but the nights were very comfortable. Would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board and useable outdoor grill. Hostess was very quick to respond. Only real issue was the address provided on VRBO registration was to a vacant lot and in the ad it stated this property was next door to another VRBO property which was the vacant lot address, actual unit is located across the street. Would definitely stay here again or check out the hostess other property available on same street.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was our first experience staying in anything other than a hotel and we will be using VRBO again. If you are considering staying at the Lavender House, we highly recommend it! Everything is as advertised. The only thing we wish was different is that the yard was mowed to let our kiddos play a bit more outside, but everything else was fantastic!
The VRBO was neat and clean the owner was pleasant to work with. The hot water heater had leaked and was repaired before we arrived the owner contacted us to make sure everything was working properly and apologized if there was any inconveniences.
I had a wonderful one-month stay in this charmer. The kitchen is spectacular, the furniture and beds are very comfortable, and I loved being so close to both the water and downtown Fairhope. There's plenty of room for a family, or for two couples. Highly recommend!
Six hours before check in we were notified that the refrigerator broke and parts wouldnt be in until 2 days before we leave. Air conditioner stopped working the next day. The trash outside was left from the previous guest which smelled like rotting seafood. There were no cushions for the out door seating. The bed in the master was sagging in the center, so you woke up on top of each other. I had to go buy washcloths. The sheets and bedding in the master were old, and the pillows were the cheapest you could buy at Walmart. They did put in a mini fridge but mine in my office would hold more than what they provided. I uses a VRBO because I prefer to cook than eat out. I use to be a chef and my family that I was visiting likes for me to cook. Eating out in Fairhope is a hit or miss and extremely expensive. We left a day early because we were so miserable. I requested restitution and they didn't even refund me for one whole day and it didn't begin to make up for eating out. If you do decide to stay make sure you check the temperature on the bidet toilet seat in the master bath. It was set on high and it was like sitting on the sun. Not to mention it's the beginning of summer and the AC was set on 76 degrees when we arrived. That's always nice after a 12 hour drive from Texas.
This was our second stay at lavender house. Itâs a very comfortable place in a small cul de sac with a nice fenced yard for the doggo. Very spacious living area/kitchen combo. Most everything you need for an extended stay is provided. The house is spotless and the location in the fruit and nut district is ideal. A few minor problems arose during our stay and were quickly addressed by our host. We recommend lavender house for a relaxing vacation.
Host team are the best you can ask for. Their knowledge of Fairhope and the surrounding area was very helpful. Response was prompt and courteous. If youâre in the area and looking for someplace to stay I suggest using this home. Thanks for everything John and Shawn
Inside renovations that were done are nice with updated kitchen and living area. Beds are comfortable. Hall bath could use some work. Only real complaint was the yard. Back yard was fenced in which was great for our dog but planting areas and deck are in desperate need of attention. We chose not to spend any time outside.
It was the perfect house for my mother-in-law and brother-in-law, who came to stay the week. We are trying to convince them to move to Fairhope and the Fruit and Nut District is the place to be! Convenient to the bay, Fairhope Pier and all the quaint shops. The house itself was well equipped and completely remodeled and the host was very easy to communicate with.
It worked perfect for a my brother-in-law who has Dystonia and is slightly handicapped in his mobility and needed a walk in shower and no stairs.
We went over a few different nights for dinner and the kitchen was equipped with everything my husband needed to make his great home-cooked meals.
Side note donât miss the International Goat located inside Piggly Wiggly for great to-go dinners or Sunset Pointe for a sunset toast on the water!
Rent a golf cart if you want to experience the true Fairhopian lifestyle. It is the only way to go!
House address was different than address provided, causing confusion. Interior of house smelled of smoke⊠otherwise was fine. Main issue was outside, where the outdoor cushions were covered in mold. The host addressed this by taking cushions from the front porch and putting them in the back (so we couldnât use the front chairs anymore and still couldnât use the back, as the cushions didnât fit), and threw the moldy cushions in the yard. Then ignored me when I asked for a better resolution. Do NOT stay.
The Lavender House is a great place to stay. We loved every minute! Beautiful open concept living/kitchen area. Updated kitchen appliances. Fully furnished and functional with everything we needed to celebrate Christmas! Even had a Christmas tree! The location is perfect! Five minutes from Downtown Fairhope and less than ten minutes from shopping and restaurants outside of downtown.
We highly recommend the Lavender House!
This is a very comfy home with a large open living/dining/kitchen arrangement. Bedrooms are nice sized as well. The place is well stocked with linens, kitchen equipment, and basic cleaning & paper products. The location is ideal, in the beautiful fruit and nut district less than a mile from downtown Fairhope and a short walk down to the bay.
Big plus - fenced in yard for the doggo. We hope to return next year.
Had to leave early due to a virus I caught a few days prior to arrival but really enjoyed my stay for the time I was there. Manager was very accommodating and friendly.
The address given for the property is actually a vacant lot across the street. Just make sure you get clear check in instructions. Other than communication the property was fine.
