Wonderful location with beautiful, relaxing home.

The location was wonderful with stunning ocean views. We loved the feeling of the home and the comfort of the bed and couches. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed for a perfect relaxing stay. We have 2 families share the space and it was well designed with an upstairs and downstairs suite. I think the hot tub needs a new cover, but it was an otherwise perfect stay.

While the views and décor were nice, 3 of the adults were 75 and older. We didn't know how many stairs there were going to be. We had 2 knee replacements and one on the way in the grandparent group.When I arrived, other family pointed me to my room and bath (the master) as I badly needed to use the bathroom. I took a face plant into the room, not knowing there were 2 steps. I have a bruised cheek and other aches and pains. But avoided a trip to the hospital.The shower water didn't drain well and found myself in inches of water every shower. Also probably not good for seniors.You should have stair rails on the wall side of the front entry. Stair rails into the living room and my room would have been nice. After that fall I was terrified entering those rooms with steps.In general this place was not safe for seniors. Some kind of ADA awareness would help.

Great graduation stay

We had an amazing time with our family. Lots of stairs for an elderly person, but worth it for the views. The patio was a favorite place to sit.

Wedding weekend

Perfect location for extended family in town to celebrate a wedding. Beautifully finished, great location , indoor/outdoor living. Amazing views. Well equipped and in great repair. Would have liked another bath that wasn’t in a bedroom. Great closet space also.

Awesome location

Absolutely enjoyed our weekend stay in Summerland. This house has all the comforts of home and a gorgeous view to boot! We walked to the quaint little town for coffee, shopping and a long beach walk. We loved it and will definitely be back!

So lovely

The house was great. Honestly, the posting undersold the view- it was gorgeous. We stayed for a long weekend and it was perfect—great for access to drive to wineries, easy to get to Santa Barbara, and also great for times we stayed at the house.

Summerland House

The property was very clean, very well stocked, I was actually surprised by the quality of the cook ware. We throughly enjoyed the deck, the view and the short walk to the beach and town where we enjoyed a great dinner and breakfast! The host was very quick to respond on a minor hot tub issue, which we enjoyed very much! Would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous Summerland Holiday

Our family of 5 adults had a wonderful stay in this lovely 3 bedroom rental with fabulous views of the sea. The house was well equipped with everything we could want or need and the hot tub was a huge hit. The property managers were responsive and very pleasant. A perfect place for us in all respects.

Great ocean view.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The main floor is well done, with chef’s kitchen and ocean views from all the rooms. We would definitely stay there again. Our only frustrations were the stairs involved to get from street level to the main floor, and the ongoing construction on 101 closing the Summerland exit. Otherwise it was a five star stay.

Exceptional location and cleanliness!

This interior of the property is extremely well-maintained, with what obviously have been consistent, thorough cleanings and care. The view was spectacular and the outside accommodations were lovely -- with beautiful landscaping surrounding a pre-heated and scrupulously clean hot tub. A wonderful stay for our family. Entry into the property was clear and concise, and the binder left on the premises answered any additional questions we had. Highly recommend!

Son's SBarb Wedding Celebration Weekend

Son got married in Santa Barbara. MOG & FOG stayed in Summerland VRBO with MOG's sisters and hubbies for the celebration weekend. Accommodations and distance to SB for events were ideal. Lots of room separation and multiple balconies/yard. Do check caltrans work on 101 to ensure timely arrival to SB destinations. All the amenities needed are provided.

Excellent stay

The house is beautiful, the view, magnificent, and the location ideal. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there are plenty of towels provided. They are both upper and lower decks with the upper deck having an amazing view of the ocean, and the lower deck being very well shaded. Only thing to be aware of if you were planning to use this for four individuals or couples, that the two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom, which is located in one of the bedrooms and not accessible separately for the second bedroom.

Almost perfect, but a improvements for the price

Stunning views Comfortable beds Excellent kitchen But… Lower level smells very musty like mildew, they installed a dehumidifier to try to eliminate. Toilet needs to be fixed (just a flapper), and no A/C. So it gets a 4 with potential to be a 5.

Family time

We stayed a few days to pick up my son from UCSB and wanted a property with a view. The house had a great view and was perfect for our family and extended family. Only issue we had is the garage was not accessible/broken. Also would be good to have known the driveway is very steep and the house was a multi level with many stairs. Not a problem for me but my 86yo mother in law had a hard time getting around.

Literally perfect stay

This beautiful home is even more spectacular in person than in the pictures. We traveled to gather for a 50th Anniversary, and my mom's 70th Birthday. The layout accommodated our family of four, and my parents, perfectly. Our boys are 17 and 14, and loved that they could walk to the beach. They could also walk the half mile to "town" to pick up a pizza, etc. The home is set up with an in-law quarters downstairs (with access inside- not a separate unit, unless you wanted to close the doors ). We remarked it would have been ideal when our boys were younger, as we would have had a bedroom, small kitchen, and two super cozy twin beds for our boys all on one floor. One son slept downstairs with us, and our other son took the extra bedroom in front of the house. My parents had the upstairs master, and loved it. This house is appointed with anything and everything you could ever need, and extremely nice bedding. Everything was spotless, and the few hiccups we had (no fault of the owner/property manager- you wouldn't know unless someone mentioned them) with a small leak in the kitchen, and the garbage disposal not plugged in, were addressed within 15 minutes. My husband and I are UCSB graduates, and enjoyed taking our boys to visit the campus, and DT Santa Barbara. We had an incredible meal celebrating my parents at Lucky's in Montecito on evening. The kitchen and view were so beautiful that we spent most of our mornings drinking too much coffee, and taking in the gorgeous view. We've been fortunate enough to stay in some very nice rentals, and I don't always feel I'd return. I'd return to this property in a heartbeat, and am so grateful for such a perfect stay. Thank you!

Summerland gem

Clean, comfortable, spacious kitchen, easy access to SB and freeway. Jacuzzi was nicely situated but the cover to the jacuzzi was in horrible condition. Hard to impossible without 4 of us to take off. The material of the failing top would pollute the water. Sad. Other than that, the place was great.
